Late posting. We ended up losing 20 comments in a computer glitch, two posts have to be rewritten and to top it off:
- Luciano Pavarotti has died. He was a singer whose exquisite voice made him a legend in life. Pavarotti was 71 and died Thursday morning at his home in Modena, Italy. A statement from his manager says, "The Maestro fought a long, tough battle against the pancreatic cancer which eventually took his life."

Surprised you haven't mentioned the Ameila Earhartesque Disappearance of Steve Fosset.

This A-hole Branson leaves a "HUGE" carbon footprint on the environment..But now feels compelled to help save the environment from global warning by asking us normal pissants to conserve resources, through his Flickoff.org campaign.

Just watching the ABC 7 News..and like magic a new Terry Ekl lawsuit against CPD.
They claim police were called to a party in the 008 District where there was a disturbance. An offender F/1/21 gets locked up and while handcuffed in the backseat is allegedly punched in the face by an "off duty" P.O. through an open window, breaking hr nose and orbital bone. This supposedly happened last month.
An 008th District SGT. initiated the CR and notified OPS, because witnesses say the offender was unhurt when placed into the beatcar and was visibly injured after arriving at station. The SGT felt "something didn't add up."
Unfortunately, this may be a "SHIT STORM in the making" and maybe even a test-case for the new OPS.
The talking head on the news said the officer wasn't being Identified because he had "not yet been charged." (doesn't sound good)
I think a few things don't add up.
*The offender who was arrested and is filing the lawsuit against CPD, said that she was punched in the face by the P.O. after he leaned in the open window.
*The news reported that her lawyer said the P.O. opened the door, got in, and struck her (3-4 times).
*Then another news source said something different. So "something is fishy" but it sounds like the offender and the lawyer need to get their story straight!

I laughed when the lawyer prefaced his statement with a disclaimer. It went something like..Oh, yea. It was a party with a bunch of young people,there was drinking(translation-underage drinking)something happened (translation-drunken minors fighting)police were called..BUT she didn't deserve to get her face broken (translation-It's all my client's fault, but we are going to win big-time $$$!)
It sounds like total B.S.
But still, I'd hate to be the one on the receiving end of an OPS test-case (translation-"witch hunt")

With the new chick in at ops and daley in cahrge of ops sorry but that copper is fucked in many ways! the tribune article is on page 3 metro section, if this is true he is finished then it states he stopped her in her car and said he was only joking! WTF! After the abbate shit now this thanks officer jagoff for again fucking all of us to much machismo, we are trying for a decent contract and now this! The guy was a class act, never let himself get into politics, causes, etc, he just did his job and did it the best of anyone,,,even Caruso.
