Bears Win?
The Packers (4-1) gave away a 10-point halftime lead, and Griese threw the go-ahead touchdown to tight end Desmond Clark with 2:05 left.
Favre came out blazing with 243 yards in the first half and the Packers led 17-7 at halftime despite two first-quarter fumbles by rookie receiver James Jones in Bears territory.
"I thought we were going to put a lot of points on the board," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. "To play the way we did in the first half and not finish it was very disappointing."
But the turnover-prone Favre of old reappeared in the third quarter, when he threw a head-scratching interception to Brian Urlacher that let Chicago back into the game.
Damn. We must have had the crystal ball upside down as we predicted a seven point difference the OTHER way. Unless Favre reads the blog and decided to toss the game just to make us look bad. The Bears were out-gained in just about every category - except turnovers.

That and the Fire won 2-1 last night, coming from behind to beat the New England Revolution!
For all the hoopla about Blanco, it's the American kids, Rolfe and Barrett, who are really doing it for the Fire.

did anyone see that the news printed the 2 sos guys names in the trib that were stripped, isn't this illegal. for christ sakes they haven't even been charged with a cr# or crime yet but the news channel 9 and the trib has these guys convicted.

911 Center CAD systen down for over 3 hours Sunday night and this after the cluster of a marathon. What will it take before this city stops with all the bullshit like "We need more libraries" and puts some dough into the 14 year old system at 911, the pdt's in police cars and finally hires more people to work on both side of the radio. Olympics!! ha ha ha ha

It was funny hearing everyone ask for their stupid event numbers that I usually just make up and be told by the dispatcher, "everything is down, no plate running, name checks, event numbers, nothing." And hearing kid after kid say, "uh, squad, primary mission number please..." Who gives a fuck about these numbers? PDTs were worthless today so I did even less than usual and these young whipper snappers were running around like chickens with their heads cut off because they couldn't get a dispersal number. Fuck this city.

can't we talk about a bears win without including work nonsense? anyway the two t.d. passes to the tightends were impressive and benson seemed to run with a little more heart in the second half, although I'd like to see peterson and wolfe a little more. all in all a nice all around team second half.
Yes, there was a game ending fight in the call box cup soccer game. About halfway through the second half a fight broke out and there were punches throw and players getting kicked. Kind of sad to see it at a charity soccer game, and it was good to see the fans (the few that were there) boo both teams as they were walking off of the field for their actions. On the bright side CPD won 2-1 and there were by far more CPD fans then there were for CFD.

Blanco? Doesen't he catch for the Cubs? He plays soccer too? Barrett was a catcher too...man those catchers are tough guys....do they wear the chest protectors and shin guards when they play soccer?

Did anyone notice that when Farve threw an interception those two assholes, Madden and Michaels, would not talk about it. This led to a Bears TD. Greise had an interception which whnt no-where for G.B. Also how disappointed these two assholes were that the Bears won. They sure hate Chicago.

Wrong. The Packers were out coached at every turn in the 3 rd and 4th quarters. Time outs were burned bad play calling. Bears won because they played it safe and coached well.
finally a win lets hope the trend continues for the next game! DUMP REX NOW LOVIE AND HIRE ANOTHER GOOD QB!
