Officer Home Invaded?
From two different comments, we get this sketchy report:
- Off Subject SCC FYI
Home invasion police officers house 0100 hours 112th Central Park. P/os girlfriend sees two male ones in alley when going to park. Police are called respond 19B.
Hour later two m/1s armed force their way into the side door and tie up 20 yoa woman p/os girl friend. female forced to dis robe for offenders who are demanding location of the officer who lives in residence. Offenders hooded want to sexually assault female when some thing made them flee.
M/1s immediately flee, in a vehicle no description at this time. What was the original call, 2 m/1s in alley in vehicle. P/o is assigned to 004 brother in 008.
My question: Were is the community alert, why have the dicks or district not put out a formal message. Message should be put out for all concerned police officers.
Are these two offenders the officer may have locked up or encountered on job . People something should and must be done about this violation to the officer and his nearly raped significant other. The area better assign some aggressive detectives to this investigation not the usual do nothing mopes from midnights.
How did the offenders obtain the officers home address? Some one from 022 please let us know what is going on.

Yet another example of why we need to drop the residency!!! Well, it's too late now, my house is worth $200,000 less than what it's mortgaged for.

If this is true, it sucks. 022 needs a commander like Capt. Carroll 012 or Capt. Graeber 008. Either one will do, both live in the west end of 022, they were and are the police and are committed to helping our community. Better yet, Graeber for 022 to clean out the useless garbage there and Carroll for Area 2 Detectives to clean out the garbage there. Ruthie sucks. She was the police at one time, now she's a suck hole gopher for Ginger.
There has been informants claiming that gang members from the south area are increasing there attacks on Mt. Greenwood and the Beverly neighborhood, because they know it is easy pickings and its there way to get back at the police, who they know live in the neighborhood.
The 022nd District is aware of it but because there is such a high crime rate going on in the east end and it being a dock area the attention is focused to the east end. The midnight watch in 022 has a bunch of dogs. The 003rd watch however, does have some good officers and decent tact officers. Unfortunatly, it will take something very serious to happen for the command staff to deploy the troops west. Its all about the dock. What a joke.
Many years ago we put a warrant together on a house in 004 and during the execution of this Kings place found a full roster of all the PO's in 004. Needless to say we were pissed off and an investigation revealed that a civilian working behind the desk had procured this roster for his homies. Please be careful out there and inside the district. It is really us against them.
Officer Safety alert: Many offenders can find anyone using internet searches. If you change your address with the post office, purchase property, get divorced, if you or the wife purchase an item with a credit card, etc.., you can be found. The commander of West Chicago PD (B.M.)covered how easy it is to find P.O.'s in a training segment this past summer at the International Gang Specialist Conference downtown sponsored by the National Gang Crime Research Center. He knows his stuff. Start asking around and find out how you can get your info out of databases that anyone can find and eventually mapquest right to your doorstep.
I'm not saying this is what happened with this incident but it IS a good time to point it out.

All i know is that the po works in 8 . 2 m 1 not armed duct taped wife 11p was related to a call earlier of suspecious mpersons who match description of these 2 idiots. canvass done at 8 am totally fucked up by the watch commander the street deputy was called to the scene by 5250. there was no beat cars on scene from what a dispatcher told me at 11 pm . there is a major cover up going on. sorry thats all i know boss

To OD/PO: If you can, get solid wood exterior doors. (better r-value and heavier) The so called steel doors are for sh*t. They're just filled with styrofoam. Get new locks and dead bolts on the doors. Replace the old hinge screws on the exterior doors with longer screws (at least 3" long, recommend 4") both on the jamb and the doors. Replace the screws on all the locks and lock plates on the doors with longer screws (at least 3" long, recommend 4"). Check to make sure the screw heads are the same size, (circumference) some screw heads are smaller than the ones in the door jamb and lock kits. The smaller ones will just spin right through the holes on the hinges and lock plates. Usually the length of the screws in the original door kit or hinges are only an inch or shorter in newer homes. (cuts down on costs)
Then teach the G/F how to shoot. Get a big ass dog that never seen; you know who, before.
Call friends to help out. Some of us might not know you, but we can still look out for a brother in blue. We still wear the same uniform.

Your question opens a big can of worms, as they say. To answer it with any kind of honestly, you have to address “race” in the answer. Yep, I said the bad word, Race!
Mayor Daley saw a few incentives in tearing down the CHA public housing. One is that many of the residents of these crime ridden complexes were pushed into new neighborhoods and yes, the suburbs. Second, Daley knew that so many fools would pay anywhere from a ½ a million dollars and up for new residential developments on these prime located properties. It truly is a scandal of epidemic proportions. Hand picked Daley cronies were given a dime on a dollar deals on prime locations of lands that were formerly CHA buildings. These cronies have made millions and millions of dollars off the development of these properties.
In turn, many of the gang infested, criminal, non-working, drug using residents of these CHA buildings were given the use of free homes in neighborhoods of hard working, low crime, low gang involvement and tax paying citizens.
Now what do you thinks happens when these former project kids and young adults see all the white kids around them with nice homes, bikes, cars and other toys while they have shit living in a free house? Daley thinks these former CHA residents are going to look around and say, Wow, If I work hard and make money I can have all these nice extras of life. But reality does set in. When you have a bunch of women breeding children with no fathers, no positive role models, no social skills and these kids spent most of their lives in ghetto CHA complexes, these kids do what comes natural from being raised in such an environment, they steal, they rob, they shoot, they rape, they kill.
There is a blog for the community around the Tinley Park store that just had a mass killing of 5 women. The blog goes on and on about how all the Section 8 residents of the nearby Country Club Hills area and other nearby suburbs is playing havoc on these peaceful communities.
And these welfare collectors are also a big reason why the immigration problem is as bad as it is. Many of these illegal aliens are doing the jobs that the government is paying people not to do. A 16 year old kid who’s mom is on welfare is out slinging dope because if he gets a job at McDonalds, it takes momma off welfare. I say pass a law that allows welfare kids to work and not have it effect they family welfare check. This will keep the kid off the streets and from trying to make money illegally.
I won’t go on even though I have so much more to say. But the more and more you drop CHA residents in our neighborhoods and the formerly quiet suburbs, expect to see crime raise. These neighborhoods don’t have stores with 3 inch thick Plexiglas between the clerk and the customer. Everything becomes easy pickings.

How many times have most of us been threatened during an arrest? Dozens if not hundreds, for those that work or used to work. No one pays attention to these "just causes" because we know that 9 times out of 10 they are over something ridiculous. I read the case report and its pretty much whats on here. Two M/1's home invaded a PO's home while he was out with his brother (also a PO) and they specifically were targeting the PO's brother, not the PO that lived there. Duct taped his GF to a chair and said "I heard he had a hot girlfriend, maybe we should have a taste", exterior door banged from the wind and Shitbirds fled. She called in earlier about two M/1's in the alley and it was coded (probably from afar). If you have 'the complete story' why dont you share it?

I can pick up the daily bulletin or get all calls via the pdt and see numerous alerts about nonsense gangbanger on gangbanger crime or even petty thefts with vague descriptions of offenders that are completely useless (m/1 wearing dark clothing, right, shouldnt be to hard to find...), but nothing about this incident.
This should have been an alert in the bulletin and rather then sending me pdt messages that its cold out(I ALREADY KNOW BECAUSE IM WORKING!!), it would be nice to get an alert that our families and homes might be being targeted.
Does the affected officer have clout? If not, no go.

This is the biggest crock that is played over and over by the worst police in the nation: the officers in the 22nd district of the Chicago Police Department.
Are Sgt.'s following you around all day and night?

Working police do police work. PO's in 22 respond to calls and eat lunch. That is all they do.
Collectively, these are the worst officers in the country.
CHA teardowns, changing neighborhoods...look for any excuse you want.
The problem is the police in 22 suck and they do it day in and day out.
I had said this once many months ago and recently 1 did pop up dirty. Check the janitorial crews out. I tried finding my post here or at Rue's site and came up empty...zillions of blog entries to sort through!!!! I had said, has anyone REALLY checked out the janitorial crews?...I KNOW too many OLD dics out of Homan Square have been way too friendly in the past, giving advise to the female cleaners having problems..."Call him. I'll tell him to leave you alone. I'm the police." They are just looking for some p nanny. Keep discussing personal business in front of people you think barely understand English. Keep trusting them and you'll see. I knew a guy who worked tac for Joliet PD years ago and on a warrant at a Kings house a list of all the tac guys and their home phone numbers was found. The Kings MAMA was the cleaning lady at the PD!!!! But, with no record herself, no one was able to put 2 and 2 together.
And, how many of you really check your rearview mirrors and take alternate routes home?...Everyone parks where even the shitbirds know they are POs personal vehicles. After a brutal shift where is your head at? Do you really ever look to check your surroundings and do a couple side streets first to pin down someone doing some tracking? If they can come to the district to beef and demonstrate, they can come to the district to watch you drive off at th end of your watch. Remember, you try to think like a criminal to nail one while working, but they think that way 24/7. BE SAFE!!!!!
Any time I need police service in 022, I just drive up to the 7/11 (which used to be a White Hen) at
103rd and Artesian. There's usually 2 beat cars and a wagon there. If you don't mind waiting for them to finish their coffee, they're pretty agreeable to giving you a hand, as long as it's not an outside job.
A few things:
1.) Lift that mvthafvckin residency rule!
2.) spend some money on a security system. Get some high res cameras inside and out to a.) scare away the bad guys and b.) get a great picture of the assholes if they do make a move on you. I'd put a camera on the alley too, so you can see if someone is lurking or trolling.
3.) Get a Shotgun and enough ammo for all of your weapons. For legality reasons register the shotgun. But take a long hard look at the new reg form. They are limiting the types of shotguns you can have. For safety sake just get a 12 ga. dubl brl, they are called "coach guns". And ofcourse secure your weapons safely. If someone got in before you do and got all you toys that would suck.
4.) Remember P.O. Jose Vazquez!
Trust me, when this comes out it will show that there is more to this incident then meets the eye.
The 19 YOA (not 20) female was the one who called 911 on her cell phone at 0137 hrs. to say she saw two suspicious M/1's in the alley nerar 111th st. She said she was on the way home from shopping with her mother.
A little while later she lets two dogs out and when she opens the door to let them in she says two M/1's with hoodies force their way inside. They ask for the brother of the P/O who lives there. The P/O who lives there works first watch in 008, the brother works in 004.
They duct tape her to chair but take nothing and leave. Somehow she manages to get hold of her cell phone and SENDS A TEXT MESSAGE TO BOYFRIEND while still duct taped. The two brothers are at Keegan's bar on Western ave., after the one brother worked a side job.
Come on!!! You mean two M/1's are driving on the side streets of Mount Greenwood after 0130 hrs and NO ELSE calls?
I am not saying the P/O did anything wrong, but whatever dick has the case needs to take a look at the girlfriend who tried to put the case on an old girlfriend of the P/O who lives there.
By the way we need to hit Pig Alley next to Marist and the apartment building that the GDs have in Garden Homes between 115th place and 117th place Hamlin to Pulaski. I have spoken with a friend at CCSP because "Garden Homes is unincorporated cook county." Also the apartments at 119th and Central Park in Alsip are crawling. We are getting surrounded here ladies and gentleman. ALSO CLOSE THE F-CKING AG SCHOOL ASAP. Its just an invitation to break into our cars and our garages when we are at work and they are ditching school

Here's the deal there is a Sergeant in 022 and a lieutenant, both on the 2nd watch and both M/2's They are well known for causing trouble among off duty coppers, especially this SERGEANT who likes to believe the offender over the officer, a couple of PO's have already received bogus CR's as a result of this 2nd watch SERGEANT. PO's conduct themselves by example and I believe we truly follow our sergeants lead especially when screw off SERGEANTS like this one on the 2ND WATCH is F__cking good PO's over. However, WE the REAL POLICE and not bogus dog asses like this M/2 SERGEANT who like to put CR #'s on good hard working coppers, need to protect ourselves and our homes. Protect yourselves and loved ones by taking out these offenders, stay armed even if going to church or just going down to the store. We need to take out these shitheads even in our neighborhood, challenge these assholes they have no business being in Mt. Greenwood to begin with, give them a message that they will never forget. As a great friend once said to me "It's better to be judged by 12 then carried by 6!"

However, over the longterm property will go up. The current valuations are just in response to the unsustainable run up in home value. For example, I purchased my home for 196k in 1998. I refied in 2006 and it was appraised at 375k. Now if you subtract 32k from my value my house is worth approx 343K. So my investment has appreciated 143k. Yea, the rumors are flying but that is not the biggest issue. What was revealed is just how piss poor the police service in 022 is. This past summer I was driving on 111th and I stopped to assist a 99unit with a fight at McDuffys lounge. Not one, not a single other police unit came. I said to the officer "nice back-up" and he said "welcome to 022 on midnights."

Now, I understand that maybe you want to know what happened, but posting that BS on this blog doesn't help anything, either the investigation or the victim.
PERHAPS just a request for information might be in order.
I would hope that the people posting here would realize that this is an ONGOING investigation, that YOU DON"T KNOW what you are talking about, and you are causing a lot more problems than you are solving by posting BS about the incident.
Once again, it is being investigated quite vigorously by A/2. When information that the investigators believe should be disseminated becomes available, then it will be available... Can we at least let them do their job?
Currently, this incident is under investigation by A/2 detective division.
They are taking it very seriously.
I know that the detective sergeant requested some cars to do a re canvass of the area. I don't know what the post regarding calling for the street deputy is talking about, that is also total BS.
All i know is that the po works in 8 . 2 m 1 not armed duct taped wife 11p was related to a call earlier of suspecious mpersons who match description of these 2 idiots. canvass done at 8 am totally fucked up by the watch commander the street deputy was called to the scene by 5250. there was no beat cars on scene from what a dispatcher told me at 11 pm . there is a major cover up going on. sorry thats all i know boss

Word on the street is that the incident was more domestic related than a random target. The officers ex-girlfriend wanted her stuff back and the boyfriend wouldn't give it back. The ex-girlfriend than brought two of her M/1 friends back to his house. They allegedly tied up the new girlfriend and took back the ex-girlfriends stuff. The investigation is still on going and further accusations have not been verified. Will keep you informed!!!!!!

these detectives are not dummies. all of you have said that there have been no operation just cause or officer safety alerts. dont all of you think that if there was any truth or credibility to this story that one would have been issues immediatly. how about on more that one occasion in a two week period ive seen two m/1 officer in 2211s car sleeping near cork and kerry in the alley between the two buildings. i figured maybe they are tired no big thing weve all done it. so 4 nights late i revist the establishment and have occasion to go down this alley again and the same car with what appeared to be the same dogs sleeping.. I became somewhat enraged and walked to the window of the car..not even a flinch from both officers that are out cold. so, ive already been having plans to transfer to 022 for the past few months, but if it comes true now and I do get the spot i hope I get midnights...considering I have only 3 1/2 years till I retire and i will most likely be thier sgt....office.. you gonna have some problems.. hope you boys get your naps in because your not gonna have to much fun working on a late car in the 20 or 30 sector.

Mt Greenwood has long been ignored by the 19th Ward, Area and District. In the last Aldermatic race, this was one of the main topics. Has anything changed? No. Go to any neighborhood in Chicago and I am sure they will all say there isn't enough police in their Area/District. At least the people who care.We need to hire more PO's and the screening process needs to be overhauled. The fact that politicians, reverends and lawyers have made it impossible to do our job has had an impact on crime.We as officers are not safe here in the city. Whether it be our job, a target off duty, followed by media or someone just wanting to sue the City, our job has become impossible. The City and the Union are not protecting us and our families. What are we to do? Stop attacking each other, we have it hard enough already. We have a wealth of knowledge here. You all bring so much to the table via experience, education, military or other experiences in different PD's. So let's hear your real ideas.
How do we decide how many cars are a beat?
What can be done about securing more squads cars and computers?
Do we redraw the districts?
How do we safeguard ourselves and our families?
Who influences police policies? How do we keep reverend/politics out of decision making policies, hiring and arrests?
What do we do if employees are caught with sensitive documents like addresses?
We have an honorable job that is in need of your input. No bullshit, real ideas. If you were in charge, what would you do?
First off, I live in Mt Greenwood and Mt. Greenwood is an island surrounded by shit, but as Hiz Honor continues to tear down the projects, the rats have to scatter somewhere...It's just bullshit that they scatter to the good neighborhoods. It also doesn't help that there are "block buster" organizations who will help these shit heads obtain housing. But you northsiders have to remember that when the southside is gone to hell, they will move north next. It's also very funny that MANY northsider's are moving south to more affordable housing in a decent neighborhood. The neighborhood as to stand up for its self as a united community, or just hand it over, as they did at Midway, West Lawn, Marquette Park, Brighton Park, Ashburn...the Great White Flight. But hey, if we hand it over, wait 50 years for everything to be burnt down to the ground and then we can rebuy at 10 cents on the dollar!
As someone already said, we can look to Detriot for what will happen here. Not that the Mayor cares, he lives in his penthouse off Michigan Avenue.
I have called the cops (yes in 0022) whenever I see someone who doesn't look like they belong, ...and yes, they have shown up and made arrests. Ginger is useless, unless you are from Beverly.

What if this case is legit?
What do you fools think would happen if offenders were arrested and charged with this crime? Even in Cook County, the offenders are probably looking at more than 20 years in prison.
There are at least 15 people on this blog who claim to have personal knowledge of the victim and/or the investigation.
If some defense attorney was in need of a defense, any defense, he would have to look no farther than this blog.
If you think that you are anonymous just because you clicked the anonymous button, you are out of your mind. If you think that an aggressive defense attorney cannot supeona SCC records and find out who you are, you are bigger fools than you sound.
At that point, anything you would say would only sh!tcan the case. How would you like to sit in a criminal trial and be a witness for the defense?
What do you think is going to happen if SCC continues to post discussions of on-going murder investigations, etc...? You think a defense attorney might take this extra step if the charged offender is facing a death sentence?

I remember a raid on a fireman's house in Mt. Greenwood for selling dope to the GD's. What's up with that? As someone said earlier,transfer to the district you live in if you're not satified with those police. I doubt many of you will do that because you won't be able to "do" the things you do in your current district.
The sad thing about this whatever the story is that coppers either north siders or south siders hate each other. what's up with that. We have no one else both each other. Not to long ago shots were fired from the 660 Division building and the four north side guys stayed down stairs while I went in alone. The only copper to meet me inside was a copper from my south side district. We laughed when we saw all you north side guys standing in the lot looking up at us. Yea, but you'll say we're the fools for going in but that's because you can't understand the actions and thoughts of a real policeman, you just like to dress up like one but God forbid you do anything dangerous..And while I'm at it, hey Fr.
