You have it wrong my friend. Poor Joliet (great stadium, lousy beer) didn't make the playoffs. The Gary Southshore Railcats (great stadium, great beer, lousy neighborhood) won the Northern League Championship the day before the Thunderbolts won theirs.
Don't worry about traveling to Gary. They have more police around that stadium than they do in Bagdad. They don't want the average guy getting jacked.
Minor league baseball is a great way to stretch your dollar.
