- Gov. Rod Blagojevich ducked out of a news conference Wednesday morning without answering questions about why he granted a pardon to an official with a private school that received a $1 million state grant after a fire destroyed the historic church where it was housed.
As the state was moving to give the grant to the Loop Lab School in late 2006 and early 2007, its director, Chandra Gill, was granted a pardon and expungement of a conviction for a 2002 aggravated battery charge after a fight with an Urbana police officer.
So after giving away a million dollars to the wrong people, and then promising to give away another million dollars, the Tribune finds a full pardon buried in the original million dollar giveaway to a connected official of the school.

OK, first pardon someone who committed battery to a cop. Better get that endorsement from the very Rev. Jesse Jackson, who is a black-mailing scammer himself (i.e. my son better have a beer distributorship NOW)
Second, give that woman money (1 million) that was originally supposed to go to the "church". Which brings up the question, why is the state funding the re-building of a church? Hey, my Catholic church has some re-building issues and needs, can you fund that too Blago? No, better bleed the parishioners and forget getting any money from the Arch, because that administration is full of thievery in itself.
Now, the woman who was "pardoned" by our gov gets 1 million for the "school"....where did that money go? anyone check that ex-felons bank records...how about checking what kind of car she drives, how about the clothing and jewels, go to the boats lately??...wouldn't doubt it's a very expensive lifestyle that has been further funded by our own state.
Third, let's give away another million to the church that was supposed to get the original million.

I've sent Blago four letters about Mette. Nothing. I've been told by at least five or six other cops that they wrote him also and heard nary a word. The Chief of Police of the town where we have our summer place wrote a very professional, tasteful letter and hasn't heard zip. Of course he's from Michigan so what does Blago care?
