You might want to check the history of how many CPD cops have died flying the helicopter. There have been many.
Anybody can basically do SWAT. 99% of the time the City wants you to wait it out and NOT USE FORCE.

If they want to make a point, have them go to St Jude’s, every officer out there. Civilian dress or uniform, but instead of marching with their units why not march with F.O.P. Five thousand officers behind Donahue & his gang would send a clear message and embarrass the Superintendent more than a no show.

She is a retired FBI agent, with an attitude, looking for a job and he was the so-called expert that Hillard brought in to investigate police shootings and then bad mouthed the Department when he left.

There has to be many Gold Star families who read this site. They have to have an opinion on a boycott of St Jude's. Would it be justified? How do they feel about the way this dept/city is treating officers as of late? I mean their family member died serving the dept/city. How would that person feel about the dept/city today??

Speaking of helicopter pay, all other major departments LAPD ect, give their tfo/pilots an extra $300 to $700 a month depending on if you are the tactical flight officer or the pilot...

Remember what that parade is for now. It's not about us, it's about all of the fallen officers. Don't tarnish their memories with our own agenda. Remember what it's really about when you walk that final stretch with the pictures of the faces of all of the dead officers/friends on the signs that the recruits hold. Try looking into their eyes and say "I'm boycotting this because I don't like how things are now."...........Don't do that to them. It's about them, not us.

We make a mockery of it ourselves, what with all the laughing, loud joke-telling and juvenile antics that I have come to expect from officers in this increasingly unprofessional department. Maybe if we acted like adults for once the public would have more respect for us. It often appears that we have none for ourselves, even on this solemn day.

why should SWAT get SGT"S pay, how are they any different than other coppers, the last time I checked we all have the same color uniform.
