Another One Bites the Dust
- In an apparent change of heart, former Chicago Alderman Arenda Troutman has pleaded guilty to mail fraud and tax evasion charges.
In federal court, she admitted to accepting bribes from real estate developers.
Troutman could face up to five years in prison when she is sentenced later this year.
Still no word on why the former aldercreature had copies numerous of numerous CPD Search Warrants in her possession and all sorts of CPD documents were located at her residence and in the possession of her gangbanger boyfriend. Anyone want to chime in on this unexplained bit of information?

Another reason why politicians ie; Mayor and Aldermen should have any say or control over the police department. We should be a city department that operates on its own and ONLY be in the business of enforcing laws, investigating and arresting criminals(corrupt cops/ politicians)and conduct ourselves under the color of law and not worry what political fall outs will occur from our police actions.
Only the the citizens can truly bring this change about by voting for terms limits and voting that the police department cannot be influenced by the mayor an city council.

Do you really need to ask how? Its pretty obvious someone from inside the department with access to the documents gave them to her. Considering the often slipshod BI's that were done until fairly recently of CPD recurits, its not real surprising that some bad guys slipped in.
we need to get rid of at least 25 aldermen...this should be the first,don't replace her and save some money.
Didn't another poster hit it right on the head when he speculated that some scandal (like this one) was going to pop now that hizzoner was out of town? Could it possibly be coincidence that he's always out of town whenever there's anything where he might be in a position to have a microphone stuffed in his face asking to have a comment on one of his political bretheren? I would hope that the scheduling of the plea agreement wasn't adjusted to coincide with his absence.
