For What It's Worth

A number of trolls and tiny brains continue to accuse our writers of manufacturing the "What J-Fed Says" post. We don't stoop so low as "sock puppetry" to provoke debate. There are plenty of rumors and more than enough conspiracy theories in this Department to make a fringe militia group proud.

We reached out to a reader/contributor of ours, a very high-ranking person, who has never been anything but honest and forthright with us. A person who has the respect of a bunch of people here and all over this Department. And we asked if he thought the "What J-Fed Says" post was mostly BS. His reply? The post was "fairly accurate" and he had received confirmation from his own people as to the content and character of the tirade.

Believe what you want, but we try to keep at least most of what we post in the realm of reality. We have stated time and again that this is a minimally monitored site and we cannot, nor do we intend to, prove that each and every visitor, reader and commentator is a Chicago cop.
  • Are there media types reading and questioning? Absolutely - we could be credited with writing a sizable percentage of the Sun Times articles on any given day.
  • Are there civilian trolls here baiting coppers with bullshit and other provocateurs looking to rile up the masses? Constantly.
  • Are there bosses checking in to see what people are saying, stealing ideas, attempting to discover identities so as to sabotage careers or even attempting to re-write history to make their legacies look better? Definitely.
We aren't going to say there aren't agendas being exploited here or axes aren't being sharpened - people throw rumors out constantly to see what happens. But we don't need to make shit up - we make no promises about whether others stretch the truth. Someone said it best in a previous comment section - all this proves is that we're never going to run out of material. And that, ladies and gentlemen, terrifies downtown more than anything.

Well once again it shows the beauty of this site. Could the posts that appear here be complete bullshit? Of course they can. But what if they're not.....ah truth is a relative thing. When a "rumor" of such magnitude turns out to be in fact "the truth" then only the naysayers are the ones with shit on their face. Each post must be taken for what it is...a possible truth and fortunately most if not all the posts on this site are true. Gotta love it!

SCC is the voice of Freedom, truth and justice against the Chicago way, the most corrupt police department in the country led by patronage hacks, and merit appointees who have stolen promotions over legit police officers, destroying the once greatest department in the world.

Th blog is read by those in power who live in fear that masses are going to revolt and they will be outed. Please US attorney out the management of the corrupt CPD.

How many merit appointees have been promoted after being suspended for planting evidence, violating civil rights etc. How come the arrests of several merit sergeants for driving under the influence, shop lifting or worse yet domestic violence is swept under the rug???

SCC is the freedom fighter, the voice of those off us who took this job as a vocation, not a patronage job, the CPD should not have been turned into a mini version of Streets and San, who you know determines were you go.

Fear merits fear.

People's opinions are shaped by their experiences and everyone is entitled to their own. No one respects a person who walks around high and mighty like they are doing some honorable deed every day looking for appreciation and all they really are is a salty selfish individual who apologizes for nothing and justifies their poor treatment of others with the support of officers who are so one sided and either know nothing and I mean nothing about who the person is other than they also wear a uniform or they support him or her despite their shortfalls and/or misdeeds just because of the uniform. The let's see how we can lie about a situation and get away with aspect of it is disgusting. It is a moral dilemma crossed with pure ignorance and low regard for anything they attempt to represent. There are good people out there and there are bad people out there both in and out of uniform finding safety in a system until they get caught up. It is one profession where the line between black and white is very thin and very easy to cross, especially when no one else is watching. There are people who know the truth whether you want to believe them or not. Most don't even want to bother with putting the truth out there because it's just not worth it. Until this is acknowledged rather than defended the trust is gone for anyone who has seen how ugly it can truly be. We were brought up to trust the police, right. It is a sad day when that belief is taken away from you. There was a day when I would give the benefit of the doubt in most circumstances, but not with Chicago Police, not anymore. I've lived too closely to it for too long to know better and I don't like what I have seen.

You all need to stop and take a good hard look at exactly who you are supporting, what that makes you and how people perceive you now or in the future because of it. If you don't care, then don't expect a lot of positive accolades. You only have one good name. Disassociate yourself from the people who don't and you will be a much better person and department for it. We all go to work and have to deal with bosses, for the most part bosses we can't stand. I would rather stand next to a boss who dedicates themself to a larger cause and be part of a solution rather than a person or people who give me a bad name. All the negative talk based mostly on fear of the unknown is extremely counterproductive and proves there really is no team or even common cause. So what if people get positions and salaries based on who they know or better experience. It is the way most of the world runs and the Chicago Police Department is no exception. If you don't like it grab a mit and get in the game or just be happy with the well paying position with good benefits you have. Lots of people are out of work these days.

For those that live up to the high standards required of the position intelligently and with high regard for conduct and treatment of other human beings that it requires, I commend you for all that you do. God will have a very special place for you in heaven some day.

Stay Safe.

Bullshit???well tell that to the 019th District coppers still sitting in call back for not taking on heavier than whaleshit clout made Sgt Robert Murray when he ordered them to arrest a couple of latinos from Barlycorns Tavern and then opened their squad car door and beat one handcuffed guy about the head and face. Sgt off duty and presumed dui as he drove off after yelling at stunned yuppies on sidewalk "anyone else want a piece of this I'Ll kick your ass just like I kicked theirs? or words to that effect, not verbatium I admit because the story is old news....oh yeah old news that WOW, never hit the newspapers...NOW THATS CLOUT! but for this blog one would not think this is a true story....urban myth? Tell that to the 019 on duty cops still stripped and under house arrest...bet they wish it was just some bullshit on the blog.

The city is looking to hire 50 parking enforcement aides for $2690/month. Job posted yesterday at city of chicago career site. Revenue must be way down for parking tickets.

Off topic but worth mentioning...

The city has offered a whopping 1.1% pay increase to date. I was thinking about how microscopic that was, but then I actually calculated the daily amount it would mean to each officer. Stay with me here...

$5,888.00 monthly per last contract
Page 99 in your FOP hand
book if your scoring
(with ten years on)

X 1.1% = $64.78 each month before
taxes.

$64.78 X 0.75 = $48.57 after taxes

$48.57 per month/20 working days=

$2.42 per day!!.....

Thats what the city is offering...not even enough to buy a cup of Starbucks coffee...no wonder that female officer demanded free coffee...

Just remember friends, when you are told to "measure up", or "we need numbers", or my favorite, "if I don't bring in heads, I will lose my spot", my question to all the "workers" out there is this...If you are aggressive, and get stripped or fired as a result of your activity, do you get to keep your spot?...

Finally, to all of the good officers who work the 1st watch in 16, most of whom are 99 most of the time, the question is, when will you all call off for a day (evening). What are they gonna do, send you to midnights?? Just make sure your at home when the good Sgt. comes by. Have a kleenex in your hand. Sneeze on him/her. Have no booze on your breath. Want to get their attention?? Want to work 10-4 on midnights, like you should? We get three days. If everyone called off, the goofy asshat w/c on midnights would curl up in a fetal position and stick his thumb in his mouth. Just thinkin....stream of conciousness...I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin...

The SUV' must be some reason to get them!

I know they are easier to view the officer driving and his passenger with a pin hole camera (from a screw)on the counsel or dash or head area.

The Chevys' were too tight not enough panaramic view and the Fords were worthless to update and whatever other reason to switch out.

Corruption and jamming the PO takes prescedence here remember y'all. Your safety and the economy my ASS!

By the way you know what else is down?

-the County Jail population saving taxpayers millions in housing costs.

-the need for ASA's and independent Lawyers in our County

-the overtime /court overtime particularly since no one goes anymore. Big savings too!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Can't think of much more but.....

Seems they are creating a unit around the Secondary Employment monitoring per the General Order that came out.

Probably want to monitor your comings and goings (A& A's ) hold people accountable for DUCKS by inspectors and be able to track you better.

Maybe not necessarily double dipping though that too probably but the leaving early or coming late due to travel times from your secondary job!

Quality control you know.

Maybe a way for the department to check how many Tac and Gang guys, Tru guys, (and Detectives I would guess) that work side gigs RATHER than locking people up and going to court like they should!

Is this for the dpartments Merit considerations process?

This can possibly be a new angle to be evaluated by WHOMEVER in checking how practive an officer is in courts as well as the street)

We shall see!

Give all the bosses ticket books and let them start writing. There salaries are a hell of alot higher than ours. Let them cover the cost of their paychecks for doing nothing.

......Hey White Shirt Apologist Company Puke, The Well ran dry because of mismanagement, malfeasance& blatant corruption.............

HMMM.. automatically assuming me a white shirt?? PULEEAASSSEEEE..

Where have YOU been - besides Huck Finn's protecting the donuts???

The last highspeed pursuit you were on was when you found out they had a 2-for-1 special.

This state is one of the leaders in loss of jobs. That means less tax money collected because people have LOST jobs and maybe had to take a job paying 1/2 what they used to make. Less salary - less payroll taxes to the state.

Hey - I am as tired as you are on poor leaders. They WASTE taxes.

Think your financial situation is tough? Take a 50% cut and lose those platinum health/pension benefits city workers have. Then you can bitch.

Apply to be a CPS teacher - you whine like one. But wait, you need a degree for that.

Seriously . This is NOT someone from HQ talking. The Illinois economy has been dismal for many since 9/11 And the Press is clueless.

Just advice from someone outside == All of you better start watching CNBC and other business news channels instead of Deal or No Deal and American Idol to get a clue. The dollars are not there anymore.

Holy Disturbed Batman!!!

Some might say we are just letting off steam.

I assure you that it is my goal and objective to prosecute any city employee, lobbyist, citizen or politician who violates any rule violation, ethics ordinance, or state or federal law to go to jail; lose their pension and rot in hell. That's my promise.

Why? Because it is time...corruption has destroyed our American way of life. It is our time now...goodbye whores and die!
