Not to beat a dead horse, but please send us more officers in 006!!!! Tours are becoming unbearable now. The backlogs from the do-nothing Days crew are astounding! We cannot handle all the jobs that Days leaves us on top of our own b.s and Capt. O'D missions.
Can the 3rd watch 606 teams be utilized more? They are so fucking worthless when a domestic or real disturbance are concerned anways. Punk ass snot-nosed kids running around trying to look tuff. That's all they are!

The tribal ritual of the "End of the Summer" celebration has begun. It appears that the south side Tribal Chiefs are currently encouraging their tribal members to out show the west side Tribal Cheifs. As I drove to work yesterday, I observed many of street corners crowded with tribal members doing a "execution dance". As these members raised their blunts filled with spiritual weeds and lifted their golden bottles of 40 ounces of pure passion beverage, these members toe danced their message of "KILL KILL KILL". I am sure once this celebritory period ends, the violence will slow down also.

Back when the whole watch of police officers weren't afraid to go out and have some drinks after work and bond together, crime didn't stand a chance. Now we have Jody "Alcohol Free" Weis as our boss. So officers no longer go out after work, no longer share street stories and information and become good friends who back each other up! (Hic-up, burp, fart, I am all good to go, I have a cork in my ass!)
It's time to take the furry drinking handcuffs off our officers. Let these boys and gals drink together, have fun together and even have sex together! A happy hungover work force is a productive work force! It wasn't that long ago that almost every bar stool at TR'S Pub was filled with hard working street cops. Now most of these stools are either empty or filled with some funny talking Irish turkey bird who just got done digging ditches. Not only has this cut into the amount of drinks purchased for me, it also gives me a headache when I hear people talking english that you can't understand a fricken word they say.

Who is this "Chalkie" you speak of? I spent a beautiful day surrounded by fellow bitter/clingers at the "Sandwich Fair" in,...you guessed it, Sandwich, Illinois. Reasonable prices, interesting exhibits, good food,and tractor pulls! To top it all off, I actually got off filling my gas tank in Hinckley, Illinois at $3.69 per gallon. I met nobody named "Chalkie" there.

They found by listening to the troups fighting on ground level and adopting their suggestions and input on what was successful worked. Wow what a novel idea. The Police Department can't fire anyone because over the years the clout babies who screwed up got a slight slap on the wrist and usually promoted. You can't pick and choose who gets fired for the same or similar offenses. Same (Fair) treatment for each and every member of the CPD. That's all any of us can ask for. Discipline is understandable as long as we receive it equally. To beat a dead horse, Cozzi was wrong but, received a just punishment which he complied with. Now you want to stick it up his ass. Pull out the IAD and OPS files of similar cases where the officer received either a reprimand or a small suspension. The SAME punihment MUST be equally applied to ALL members.
Go into data warehouse ,victim search, pop in 01-jan-2008 and the date you are checking. Then throw the UCR code for homicide in it and voila, you have the totals. But I don't believe it is completely up to date and accurate, like if a vic of a shooting dies a month later. But it will be close to actual totals

I respect your passion and work-ethic, if it's genuine, however you need to realize something. Yes, there are some hard working people who don't have the economic ability to leave the ghetto. This said, you have to realize that the overwhelming majority are either going to hate you for impinging on their "rights" and arresting the poor dopeslinging honor student, or for impinging on their rights and not protecting them enough by arresting the dopeslinging honor student. The ghetto reverends have succeeded in getting across the message...it is someone else's fault, either way. The ghetto catch 22, you are caught in it.

Try Mr. MushMouth who fills in on Zone 12. Was a semi-regular, but we all beefed so much he finally got moved. Don't know what's worse though, the ones who won't speak clearly (Fulton & Fullerton are a fair distance from each other), won't turn up their volume or my personal favorite the party that breaks out down there at shift change and it's so loud you can't hear the dispatcher even if they are speaking correctly.
To any dispatchers monitoring - PLEASE, turn your volume up. It would cut back on the ear-drum splitting feedback when the cars respond.
Also, specifically to the Zone 12
1st watch dispatchers. Just because you're in a bad mood when you get to work don't take it out on us. Yes, you may have just sat down but we've been working the whole time. Plug in, sign in & try to look your monitors BEFORE you start squalking about not knowing what the units are talking about. And the excuse of I just sat down really doesn't hold a lot of water at 2300 hours.
Dispatchers should have an early and late start for each position (1 has a 1400 start the other 1500). This way at least 1 person already has knowledge of what's been going on prior to shift change. This will never happen though because it makes too much sense.
