J-Fed Publicly Spanked

We don't know what else to say about this that hasn't been covered here, in the comment sections or anywhere else for that matter. Here's the Sun Times coverage though:
  • A federal judge today chastised police Supt. Jody Weis for "sending the wrong message" when he refused at first to turn over the names of officers who have at least five citizen complaints filed against them since 2000.
  • But the judge wasn't happy that Weis had delayed turning over the list. He ordered the city to pay the legal expenses of the plaintiffs' attorneys.

“No one is above the law,” Gettleman said.

He cited a 1928 Supreme Court decision that said: “If the government becomes a law-breaker, it breeds contempt for law. It invites every man to become a law unto himself. It invites anarchy.”

No one is above the law? Gettleman must not have been in Chicago for very long. The contempt for law in this town has been going on for at least 100 years, probably longer. The current regime has made it an art form.

So, as with all other Department members who run afoul of the Court, Weis WILL have a CR# opened against him, right?

"Violation of any law", and all that...

To Jody. Please just do the city and the officers a favor and resign. You have done more to ruin this deaprtment in a short period of time than a hundred Medzianowski's and pacmans couldve done in a career. Just admit that you are in way over your head. You will at least earn the respect of the officers for telling the truth for once.

I wonder how IAD will investigate the CR number against J-FED for conduct unbecoming. I personally think that it should be sustained with no time off. However, he should have to pay the legal fees of the plaintiff's attorneys as the judge set forth.

Anarchy? These days, anarchy sounds awful good to me.

SCC, Let's not forget about the two pieces of shit that had to offer up their two cents! Flint Taylor says he felt manipulated, are you fucking kidding me? Mr. Taylor, you piece of human garbage your entire miserable life and so called vocation is based on manipulating the system and this useless city law department into lining your pockets. How dare you claim you were manipulated, FUCK YOU and your ambulance chasing law firm, I hope you get hit by a CTA bus!
Secondly, Alderman Ed Smith can't figure out that defying a judge's order does make sense in our case. It's no secret that if our morale gets any lower we will hit China. I realize that federal judges have a tremendous amount of power, but they're not fucking God. For Jody to make any form of stance would have made a statement that he actually cares one fucking iota about the rank and file. In true Jody form though, he bent over and took where he usually does. Worry about you own alderscum Ed, It also didn't make sense for Troutman or Tillman to become common criminals either!!

Barry's "change" is bringing about socialism. THis could very well put this country on the brink of anarchy. Anarchy in the streets by the small but vocal and violent lawbreakers who are egged on by community activists, phoney reverends and activist judges who now have a friend in the White HOuse. This will eventually bring about a response by heavilly armed, hard working tax paying Americans. Americans who believe in the Constitution and the vision of the "founding fathers". Store up your ammo, have a little gold and be ready for the path leading up to the end of days. Remember, Chalkie is on the side of Right not Wrong.

If he's serious about looking out for the Officers' best interests, revamp the entire CR process. Use the rules of the affidavit fairly! Go after those who out & out lie when making their complaint. Don't force the Sergeants to jump through hoops to identify the Officers when the complainant refuses to sign the affidavit. When the affidavit first came out, if the complainant refused to sign the affidavit, THE INVETIGATION STOPPED! There was no further investigation needed. Then the brains running this operation said you had to make every attempt to identify the "accused", whether the affidavit was signed or not! This is ridiculous! I've had arguments with my DC regarding identifying previously UNKNOWN Officers, for this exact reason. The Commanders/Deputy's state that because without a signed affidavit, the finding is UNFOUDED, it can't be held against the Officer. My how things have changed! I hope all you gold stars who ordered us to identify Officers when even you knew the beef was bullshit, feel like shit now! But I know you could really give a shit because it will not affect you in the least. Except when you complain that activity is low, we need curfews, etc...
WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND!!
BE SAFE!

Not enough info to determine if you got fucked.

They wanted to put me in BIS for being on the medical too many times in one year. A commander (who Jody dumped in the Big Purge) stood up and wrote a report and got me out of consideration for the program due to me having a life threatening illness and all. I am since better but that is one of the few times a commander did something positive to help me out.

In my opinion they need more people down there at FOP to deal with the steady daily barrage of stuff from officers and management. Just my opinion.

This case is reason number one for why CR complaints should be shredded and unavailable in a much shorter time period.

G. Flint Taylor and his law firm will use the not-sustained CR's as proof the department keeps officers who generate lots of complaints on the job.

G. Flint Taylor will convince a jury that the not-sustained complaints are a sign something is very wrong. He will treat each of them as correct and reasonable and legitimate complaints about a police department out of control.

We know how full of shit many of those CR's are, he treats them all as bona fide cases of wrongdoing.

Remember, G. Flint Taylor is the lawyer who litigated the Fred Hampton Black Panther case back in the day. He sees police as the enemy.

Let make sure I understand this correctly: j-fed refuses to turn over a list which had in different form been turned over to plaintiffs in multple previous suits, claiming that he was doing it for the good of officers' morale, is found in contempt, costs you and me $50,000, and is still employed?

If this guy has 65 Crs and only 64 arrests in his/her career that may be a bad sign. If he/she has
65 Crs and 1000 arrests or a 6.5% CR average he is doing great police work. Buuuuuuut, you have to consider other variables, such as; contact cards, anovs, movers, and all calls of sevice per day/event #s generated. Unfortunately, even if you made a formula the results would be bias since complaints are taken on line and every goof that has access to a computer will complain about someone every day.

Let me see if I have this right.

Morale is non-existent so Jody has to manufacture something to prop us up right?

So why not a non-issue? Nobody can run for judge, or stay on the ticket, unless Daley OKs it. So the front end is stacked cause the judge will do what Daley wants him to do.

So you create a non-issue and prop up Jody. Make him look "stand up" and backing the troops. So now you have the back end stacked.

Best of all it not only cost you nothing but you can move on and still fuck us on this contract.

The job is pretty much young, dumb, and fullacum, in this day and age so a certain % will buy this happy horseshit. As long as Jody still lets them run around with their plastic squirrel rifles.

Which...last I heard...was heading to Town Hall meeting right? Oh man, I love this job.
