- A chirp from a little birdie is that shortshanks is looking at a long term lease of Lake Shore Dr. for a few billion dollars... It'll be essentially a toll road. Can you imagine getting on at 31st St. and getting off at Roosevelt Rd. but you gotta pay a finn or a sawbuck?? We figure when he's done selling everything (including the bottled stink he stole from some dogshit) he'll present another nonsensical monetary offer a 5th Av. & Cicero whore would be ashamed to accept then turn around and blame the "ungrateful & greedy" Police who should be glad to have a job and honored to take an ongoing attempted contractual ass-fucking from him & his minions.
And what's this about Daley claiming the budget is balanced for the next three years and he has a $350 million "rainy day fund" to cover shortfalls? Hey Shortshanks? It's pouring. Where's our goddamn contract?

What's ridiculous is that the Mayor states the City has a 350 million rainy day fund tucked away YET, he asks city workers to take up to 20 days off UNPAID when that won't put a significant dent in his shortfall.
What I want to know is WHAT QUALIFIES as a rainy day? The fact that the economy has tanked and we are taxed and fee'd up the wazzu is a RAINY DAY.
Apparently the Mayor is saying that City workers, their economic condition, their families, food on their table, their children's education and receiving the salaries that they were hired for is not important enough to use the "Rainy Day" fund!
Just goes to show you how much he respects the job of the people that work for this city. And he's trying to get the unions to concede to this lunacy and unnecessary attempt to pocket his workers earned money. The money he receives from this screwing of workers is miniscule to the budget deficit but he is the boss - he makes the rules.
I still wonder just what a rainy day is to him.
Who is going to be the last Dept sold by Daley, Police Dept. or Fire Dept.? With every thing sold off all we will neee in an accounts manager, someone just out of college who can crunch numbers.
After we sell off all of the captialism in this city we are then in line to be socialist just like Obama's plan for the rest of the country.

CFD academy recruits paid a unannounced visit to the CPD academy Friday. They came to pay respect for Officer Valadez and to make ammends for hosing down CPD recruits in the past. The CFD academy staff are very sharp. They came in full force with over 100 recruits prepared for physical challenge. Academy only had 22 CPD recruits Friday morning. Most of the CPD staff were caught off guard and could not support their recruits. The rest of the CPD recruits were out of the building. CPD recruits were ordered to quickly leave a scenario class, take off equipment, quickly change into sweats to meet CFD recruits. What a sight. 22 CPD recruits standing next to a huge CFD class with all of the staff members. Again, a intimidating sight. Then a certain commander had a brillant idea to engage in physical challenges. CFD had their best recruits and again punked CPD recruits. Twice they embarassed us. Let it go, CFD. You are creating real anomosity between us. Bad enought no one supports CPD. Now CFD recruits punked us twice. The day before a funeral. Great timing. CPD staff was not happy. Again, pay back is a bitch. One day!

In 1983, the Stuttering Prick ran in the Democratic primary for Mayor against Jane Byrne, the incumbent, and Black candidate Harold Washington. The polls showed that if Daley stayed in the race, not only could he NOT win, but he would split the white vote.
His arrogant refusal to withdraw cemented the victory for Harold who ran against Republican Bernard Epton in the general election. Epton came within 40,000 votes of becoming Mayor of Chicago.
A decent Republican candidate will beat Daley.
Can you begin to fathom how unbelieveably beyond fucked-up traffic in this city would be? As it is now, there is no way to drive around without traffic being virtually bumper to bumper even during off peak hours.
Once the stuttering gnome gets his network of redlight and speed cameras in place you'll have to leave home an extra two hours early to get to work... What qualifies as a rainy day is the day one of his kids, nephews, real estate developer buddies or connected friend starts up another fly-by-night business called "Advanced Rain Removal Service" in which the service will be paid in advance the sum of 350 millions dollars to dry out the city, barring any further rain that is.

Were you there? I was. The CFD and CPD recruits have been going back and forth good matured for years. The CFD candidates came over the academy to pay respects to our fallen Officer. They all did calisthenics together and there was a race between the oldest CFD and CPD recruit. The CPD recruit won after both of them collided and fell down. Our Gym instructors had the CFD candidates do a crawl as they hosed them down. It was a good show of comradeship between CFD and CPD. All the CFD bosses there were good people. You were obviously not there or drunk because it was a good day for both CPD and CFD. Oh, by the way there were only approx 65 CFD candidates.
Can we order an audit for the City of Chicago?

Elements of city government are already talking about "congestion pricing", in which an Ipass-like transponder will lift a few pennies here and there from your account whenever you pass through downtown. I can imagine LSD being a test case, under the excuse (lie) that the road cost so much to police and maintain.
