Officer Safety Alert:
There have been numerous interactions between the Latin Kings in Garfield Ridge lately and its citizens. This has culminated in an attack on a fellow Policeman behind his garage at 2:30 am on Sun the 4th around 57th and Austin . The off duty copper went out to investigate a loud domestic behind his garage and ended up being surrounded by 5 Latin Kings. He asked them to leave and after they told him they didn’t give a fuck he was the Police, commenced to attack him. The fight continued until the 008th District arrived and placed all five in custody, two charged with Agg. Batt. to the Police and 3 charged with mob action. Copper had a trip to the emergency room for a possible scratched cornea and had taken multiple blows to his face and the back of his head.
The good commander of 008 put a “Just Cause” on the Latin Kings.
This is ridiculous where we have come in this city in regards to respect. The event culminated in the Copper being handed a CR# by the visiting Watch Commander (not from 008) because the piece of shits said they were just pissing in the alley and were attacked by the pajama wearing copper.
The probable cause hearing for these vermin is 13 Oct 09 in Br. 48-4. If you have the time please show up and support this copper as I’m sure friends of the Kings will be there.
So what "boss" took a CR number from five self identified gang banging shitheads who admitted pissing in the alley and turn it into a beef against the off duty? It's amazing.

The operation just cause was issued for 4 days and I can tell you that absolutely not a whole lot of shitheads were arrested.
This has been the case for every Just cause issued city wide.

From his pleas to stop!!! and the dirt bags yelling and screaming as they were kicking his ass, it drew the attention of a second off duty officer to walk out to the alley and investigate the commotion.
Upon this second officer witnessing this beating, the second officer immediately called 911 on a cell phone. The second officer never knew or realized it was an off duty officer laying on the ground being beaten.
Only upon arrival of #008 district personnel did the second officer find out it was a fellow officer down. If it was not for the second officer to call 911 the first off duty officer would have been killed just like the fenger high school student teenager Derrion Albert.

This garbage is going on city wide not just certain districts, I just heard about a copper who is IOD working in the land of the misfits (Call Back) that got a CR for refusing to take a suspicious person report and giving his star number. This officer had to actually go to IAD to make a statement. WTF hello IAD there's no such thing as a suspicious person report and I'm told that the complainant was calling it in 8 hours after the fact.
Now when IAD couldn't prove that this officer violated any rule, they psyched him. Hey thats a great way to spend more of the tax payers money. How much do you suppose that fitness for duty test cost the department?

There was def. a fight goin on but from what I saw and heard, the copper was holdin his own. If this 2nd off duty cop witnessed the incident why wasn't she interviewed and put on paper. I heard that 2 Cook County Sheriff's Police Officers in northwest suburban unincorporated Des Plaines were attacked by a group of kings. Similar circumstances too, I heard the County cops were on duty, responded to a disturbance and were surrounded by LKs when they tried to place one in custody. 2 of the kings pushed the cops and told them to go. I'm told that the fight was on and other cops came deep and several kings were arrested.
