Zekman Ticketed

From the comments:
  • Thought you may find this interesting ... Pam Zekman was in 006 yesterday. It turns out she was trying to film something directly inside the Police parking lot. A quick thinking tact Lt. ordered her off the property to which there was some hesitation on Zeckman's part. The tact Lt. then issued Zeckman an ANOV. Zeckman then promptly made her way inside 006 where she spoke to persons unknown.
Anyone want to guess what Pam was looking for?

Anyone else want to guess how fast that ANOV was non-suited in the commander's office?

Ok , Zeckman did not get the anov the camera man did ( for blocking the driveway). Zeckman was at least 60 feet in the parking lot doing some kind of story on the fbi task force in 006 when she was told ( by the Lt.) to remove herself from the lot because she was trespassing. Pam came back a few minutes later. The Lt. when told about this confronted "Zeckman" and said a bounch of stuff (with a high voice)about how she was violating the same laws that the 14 Yr. old police impersonator violated! she said that she had permission from the commander !! The Lt. looked over his shoulder at the commanders parking spot and said your lying the commander is'nt even here!! ( as we learned later she did have an apointment with him but she was 2 hours early with no permission to be in the lot). She asked the "great" Lt. what he did here, he stated that I lock up getto ###### ## #### and you are no better than them ( No swearing I promis)!!!!This confontation lasted quite a few minutes I am shure the camera was running....I think. Pammy looked looked like she was starting to cry. Really, There was a tear! The "great" Lt. asked someone to get him an anov book. He wrote it then they left. I heard they went into the station after that but no details from me. I had to hit the street. NO NAMES HAVE BEEN CHANGED TO PROTECT THE GUILTY!....... ( by all rights he could of should of locked her ass up. Then theres the the little tingy about the CTSSL report THING SHE MIGHT want to concern herself with. both of em

Refusing a Direct order from a Police Officer is a Crime.

So is Trespassing on City Property.

Priceless!!! As much as Zekman getting an ANOV brings a smile to my face, the reality is the commander in 006 probably non-suited it.

If he/she did, shame on you.

If he/she didn't, kudos for having a spine which most brass (including J-Shmuck) lack nowadays.

Anybody know how loud she screamed FREEDOM OF THE PRESS? LOL!

As for what the ANOV was written for, that's an easy one. Since she's proven herself time and time again of being Daley's lap dog, she got written up for being off her leash.

I am a incorrigble, self-admitted pamophile. She gives a bad name to Pamela. Mind you. I'm not talking about past or current CPD members. My all-time favorite lady lives a few hundred miles away. Her name is "Pam".

Only very, very special ladies should be allowed to use that sweet name. Zekman sure ain't one of 'em.

Refusing an order from a police officer is only an offense if it involves traffic. But, not leaving property after you have been given notice is trespassing. However, there have been court cases in the past where trspassing is a difficult case to prove when it is a public building .

Thats bullshit!!! she was in an area that is clearly marked for police employees only and failed to follow verbal directions to leave... She used her official position as " News Media" to escape from criminal charges, sounds like official misconduct to me. If the " police" were to enter her studio that is clearly marked News Media only, and they asked us to leave and we didnt, see how fast they would sign a complaint for criminal trespass to property, and see how fast the ASA's would approve charges of oficial misconduct.. I should have been a fuckn fireman. No honor in this field anymore... Watch out for eacother, ( no matter what agency), cause no one else is!!

Well you are correct that it is in the books but.....
You have to keep up on things smart guy. That section of Disorderly Conduct was rescinded. Has to do with recent court challenges I guess. About a month ago Legal Affairs came out with a teletype which is posted in all C/O books. Don't get guys into trouble by giving them bad info. Its real short and states "do not enforce this section of the law.

BULLSHIT!!!!

All that needs to be done is:

a. proper signage IE No Trespassing
b. Warning from Agent,owner,mgt,
or in this case Police.
c. Reasonable time for the offender
to leave.
d. After getting warning and return
ing,as was written here,she was
subject to arrest.

Many many many cases have been WELL proven for CTSSL on "public" property.(CHA ring a bell??) I should know. 503 CTSSL arrests in 2007 with 493 CONVICTIONS.

A way around the public building issue is "the defendant was creating a disturbance thereby prohibiting persons the peaceful enjoyment of the facility" Verbatim. Trust me it works.

FYI, on the corresponding form, ANOVs can indeed be "Administratively Released." It's not called a "non-suit," but it's the same exact thing. All it requires is the Unit C/O's signature.
