Cop injured, one carjacker dead.
UPDATE: Coppers from 011 evidently had a hand in this happy outcome, but that isn't surprising as Districts sharing zones often end up backing up and assisting each other. A fine job was done by everyone as related by a number of e-mails and comments.
- Chicago police fatally shot a carjacking suspect and wounded another in the Lawndale neighborhood Thursday evening, police said.
A police officer was struck by the stolen car and suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, police said in a statement.

Is this a truth in sentencing penalty (3 to 10 years as quoted)with credit only for time served while awaiting trial or is the sentence subject to day for day good time which can effectively cut the sentence in half or more in addition to the credit for time served?

Desire Rogers is an employee in the White House. Her JOB is to determine who gets into the State Dinners, not to attend them herself. In fact, NOBODY from her office was present with clipboard in hand at the entrance. And now, the Secret Service took the fall for her, kind of like what happens to you guys (ahem, Bea Cuello, cough).
Evidently, all those "pajama parties" and late night wine soiree's with the First Lady has made her a little too comfortable in her relationship with Michelle Obama and all those magazine covers has gone to her head.
She fucked up. She's incompetent or her priorities and responsibilites as social secretary has taken second place to her ego.
Why Sneed has her nose up Rogers ass is sickening. But, then again, it's Sneed. How someone could spend their days and nights sucking up to losers and assholes in exchange for a story is pretty pitiful.

I met both coppers today for something, they did everything neccessary. Nice guys. They did great work....as trained. Never hesitate. God is on your side.

Secret Service had an invite list. They obviously decided to go the PC route when a well dressed white couple showed up, and never challenged their lack of an invitation, (or names on that list) and allowed them entry.
USSS were the gatekeepers, and they messed up, simple as that. Thank God the reality show wannabees didn't have any sinister intentions.
Sneed is a piece of crap, but don't think for a minute that she wouldn't have thrown Rogers to the wolves in her column if things pointed that way. Don't forget the hack job she did on Dana Starks, she's a hack gossip columnist, nothing more.

a number of Area's responded. 3 and 5 and 1. Area four had an Xmas party that night and was just finishing up a police shooting in 13 fromthe night before....had no manpower left AS in most police shootings other Areas will lend a hand...and they did Great as always...heard some Area 4 Dets and supervisors left the party and responded straight to the scene.....We need to stick together.
