Toddler Third in Polls

"Big Hog Balls" Beavers sure seemed to back the wrong horse in this race. Or maybe just the wrong end of the horse? Todd is bringing up the rear:
  • Faced with widespread voter dissatisfaction, embattled Cook County Board President Todd Stroger trails Circuit Clerk Dorothy Brown and Chicago Ald. Toni Preckwinkle in the race for the Democratic primary nomination, a Chicago Tribune/WGN-TV poll shows.

Brown had the support of 29 percent of likely Feb. 2 primary voters, ahead of Preckwinkle's 20 percent, in the poll of 502 likely voters. Stroger received 14 percent and Terrence O'Brien, president of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, had 11 percent.
Hopefully, the trends hold steady. First Stroger. Then Shartshanks.

It would be great if Erkel finished last in the election, BUT, I can't help but think that the three opponents are nothing but "shills" to pave the way for toddler to slither in for another term. Politicians of the Democratic persuasion in Crook County are not to be trusted !

It ain't over till its over !!

This is Chicago, its not the number of votes a candidate receives, but the person who is counting the votes. Stroger will when in a landslide.

That creature of an Alderwomen, Toni Preckwinkle is a joke and would be far worse than The Toddler Stroger. Either way we are screwed.

In one atricle backing by race is broken down for all the candidates.
The only stat. missing is the number of blacks who supported O'brien.
Why was that omited ?

We are totally "screwed". The reason why our property taxes went sky high is because Mike Madigan refused to allow Jim Houlihan's tax cap legislation advance through the Illinois General Assembly. Why, you ask.....because Madigan runs the little Toddler along with Daley. Duhhh, they control the jobs. They wanted the increase in tax rev to help pay all of their phony "democRATs" in thier B.S. jobs. F'U' SHORTSHANKS, F.U. Mike Madigan...The wonderful Irish did it again took sides with the MUTS....

I'm sure shorty has had talks with all four of them, telling each of them that they have 100% of his support. That way if any of them wins the whole thing they owe him.

Vote for anyone but a demo-rat.

Dottie Brown is the one known for using the classic shakedown of her employees to pay into her warchest to get her elected. Nothing changes.

LOL...yeah, electing a semi-literate racial placeholder like ol' "D. Brown" will really help.

God, this county is collapsing. Atlas really is going to shrug.

Good point! Ch.7 and Dorothy Brown were saying that race is not playing a factor in the polls, because whites are backing a black candidate, like they had backed BHO. Yet in this same story they say that over 90% of the blacks are voting for a black candidate as they had backed BHO. They also mentioned in the story about the black "Reverends" who were trying to get a couple of the black candidates to drop out and one lone black candidate run so they don't split the black vote and (God forbid), let a white candidate slide in.
This city, county and state all Blooooow!

Be SAFE!

Brown is as bad as Stroger if not worse. Hopefully there will be a decent Independent or Republican that is worth voting for. If not, Prewinkle is the lessor of 4 evils here.

Again, some of you may have issues with the guy, but Garrido may actually jave a chance to break up the Machine's hold on this spot. Take a Republican ballot during early voting.

toddler is holding on to the last ''race'' card in the deck. he ll come out at the last second and say '' blacks are being cut off from receiving ''free'' medical services. all those ''rich'' people should keep feeding my mini obamacare machine. i will take/tax the rich and give to the poor...until we are all poor. then they will all need my divine wisdom.

SCC, this is why you need to get behind the candidacy of Lt. John Garrido, who is on the Republican ballot for Cook County Board President.

You have repeatedly asked for sworn officers to step up and run for office against the Chicago machine. Well, John is doing just that. Regardless of any personal feelings towards him, all police officers should unite behind his candidacy and back his campaign.

To whomever said, "I know SCC will not print this" and "I dare SCC to print this," we've don't allow anyone to "dare" us into printing something. We publish what we feel deserves daylight. Too bad you "dared" us because your post made sense and was pretty well written. Try again without the "dare" and see what happens.

Hey SCC, no dare but you failed to mention anything about Greg Bella's article in Nov.'s Newsletter about us only being short 592 officers, he said we're 11,500 strong. What say you SCC? Does this not deserve daylight to you? I remember when Daley and Weis spoke those exact same numbers, you were all over them. Kudos to you. Is the Fop off limits to you? If so why?

FOP isn't off limits, but we aren't flying off the handle at numbers we can't verify. We try to be the voice of reason.

Actually, we've been working on something that ought to be ready by Monday. Keep reading.

Take a Democratic ballot in the Primary and vote for the weakest candidate.

Then vote Republican in the General Election.

We can turn county government around!

OK; I didn't realize SCC doesn't accept Dares, and for that I apoligize, I wrote and I said something to the fact that the County Board worked when George Dunn ran it, He retired and slated John Stroger for the spot, and he won, he was a true gentleman and ran it well, This spot has been deemed a spot for the Black Politician to head up and I think I said that Todd screwed up when he aligned himself with Beavers who saw the opportunity to try and run the board. He didn't do well in the Police Dept or as an Alderman, the Mayors spot has always been deemed a White spot with the brief stay of Harold Washington who had many White friends. It's a shame that Todd has aligned himself with bad actors and thinks that he can retain the spot, it should not happen, he knows nothing about politics, and his track record proves it. Thanks for the opportunity to correct my prior Blog.

that is the strategy, but there's one problem: how to define and determine the 'weakest candidate'.

what if, just days before the primaries, the "toddling toddler" has the lowest ranking in the polls. would that make him the 'weakest candidate'?
