We probably would have had to spend a few bucks to replace police ammunition after we shot him someday soon. Taxpayers would have had to foot the bill for his hospitalization after we shot him. Daley would probably have Corp Counsel cut him a check for some imagined slight after he recovered. Killing him was probably the biggest favor the "offender" could have done for society, no matter how inadvertent it was.

The press is doing their usual rip job on the police again......WBBM 780 am is reporting that an off duty Sgt was involved in a fatal traffic crash, and an investigation is underway. While true, the obvious implication with the way it is presented is that the Sgt was at fault. The other party in the crash died of a heart attack at the wheel of her car, and not due to injuries. Her car crossed into the Sgts path from a sidestreet with the lady having a medical emergency, possibly dead at the wheel.
I have never yet heard that a news reporter was involved in a fatal crash, and implying that the news reporter was at fault. Which profession has the code of silence that the press loves to point out? Theirs is far stronger than ours. Too many bit%^#s on our job now, both male and female, for us to stick together in a group like that biased profession.

I know some parents are afraid of putting hands on their own kids for fear of getting locked up. I was embarrassed once as a PO when I was ordered by my sgt to arrest a hard working mother who gave her kid a well-derserved ass whipping. Thank god the dicks, etc saw it that way also, but it could have gone the other way, especially these days with the new police.
It is very easy for non working officers with ten minutes on this job to critcize hard working police officers. I have personally worked along side Dana Alexander in various capacities amd I can honestly state that he was and still is the "real police". Unfortunately, many of you new generation coppers don't know what the real term of being the "real police" really means. So before you start writing about this job, try working this job and just maybe you will appreciate what a real policeman really is and you will appreciate the title.
Too many bit%^#s on our job now, both male and female, for us to stick together in a group like that biased profession.

Let's remember that all of our leaders must speak positive about all types of crimes and criminals. It is sad for anoyone to lose their life in our streets, regardless of their race, gender, or beliefs. Dep. Chief Alexander is a decent guy and no dummy. I worked for him in 004, and although my time there was turbulent, he treated me very well in spite of objections by his less distinguished Tactical Lt. M.R. Yes, I disagree with his sentiment in this case, but overall a good guy, who I am priveleged to have worked for. Give the guy a break, those of us who have worked for him respect him and this is the best measure of a man on this shitty job.

Dana Alexander is an idiot!!! He tutes his own horn at every meeting he is allowed to speak. The Superintendent looks as if he is about to vomit everytime he is in his presence and he starts speaking. If he knew what the fuck he was doing, 004 would not have lead the city in crime every single year he was there. He also did not make any impressive numbers while assigned to Narcotics as a Sergeant and especially did not do shit when I worked with him in 011.
