An off-duty Chicago police officer shot and wounded her husband at their Far South Side neighborhood home in a domestic-incident early this morning, police said.

A: I'm goin down to shoot my old lady, you know I caught her messin' 'round with another man.
Look that one up,arrest report lists husbands tattoo as being a "cane and top hat". So did the fine officers friend belong to the same social club or did she shop around for someone with an ornately appointed GD star, or perhaps a nice pitchfork?? I'm sure her hubby was a magic enthusiast and that tattoo was just a tribute to his craft!! Eh,probably not and I'm sure the officer is of the highest quality and cut from the finest moral fabric!! Eh...probably not. We shoud just let her law enforcement record and career speak for itself..I don't understand "cricket speak" anyone? anyone?
What kind of shooting is it if the shot was fired from the within the doorway of the house (indoors) at a subject on the lawn (outdoors)? Or vice-versa? Are there indoor-outdoor or outdoor-indoor classifications? I really need to know, because when I make detective, I want my reports to get approved by my supervisor without complications.
Snarf! Snarf!
Was it her gun or did her husband have one and she failed to report it
'Love hurts!"
Gold Star Material! Get your resume in, pronto!
Was the husband a felon?
Sounds like she was taking legitimate police action although the circumstances were domestic related. It'll be interesting to see how they handle this. Don't know her but it appears she did nothing wrong by dept. guidelines. Shouldn't have been cheating though....
Another Merit Promotion in the making...
oh shit your husbands home.!!!I'll hide under the bed.

Uh, why would that be the case? If HE shot first, she had EVERY right to shoot him.
I don't care WHAT your issues are, you do not fire a gun in anger, or jealousy. A gun is a tool of our profession. It is not an irate husband's means of exacting revenge.
If he didn't like whatever her 'friend' was doing there, fine, divorce her. Picking up a gun is plain asinine. Shooting it is attempt murder. Her actions? Defense of life.
Again.... If that was me I would be fired on the spot.

Not true its who you know.
Some years back a female PO from 14 and her Boyfriend LT B from 18 had a domestic at his house she attempted to shoot him he got the gun it went off and shot her in the gut causing sever damage. yet happening? Make a long story short both are doing fine she came back they put her right in the gangs unit. Understand something Juice Juice Juice rules the day
Can I say someone might be out of a job soon?
By all means lets get rid of the entrance test to be a police officer. Like the test wasn't the most dumbed down joke of a test anyways. We can always hope for more outstanding examples of Police Officers like this one.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh 19B
Never any good news from 116th and Hell

I used to own a farm. Had several German shepards to keep the wolves from eating my chickens. Neighbors on the other farms suggested I get a couple of wolves and train them to watch the chickens, you know, they'd be a little better at watchin there own. The wolves ate the chickens. That's why I aint a farmin anymore.

Legitimate police action? Her lover broke into the house occupied by her husband, in fear for his life as some "dude" is breaking in, he shoots at him, misses, returns to his house only to be shot by his own wife. All at 1am. Why is she asking her lover to make an illegal entry into her husbands house at 1am? This is not normal behavior of an officer of the law. This "officer's" judgment is clearly not on par with a legitimate law enforcement officer. So please, this goof is as bad as Abate, Penny, and many many more Chicago Police Officers that have been hired in the past 20 years because of clout and law suits. 3 years and counting. I only hope another Department will have me after I'm done here.

only if you leave it off your application.
Dude got hosed
This department is a joke. I was at 26th Street the other day driving into the parking lot when I observed several Chicago Police Officers (In Uniform) standing around a pimped out Escalade. The ghetto music was so loud my truck was vibrating. Not to be out done a few rows over were some gangbanging Crook County Sheriff's doing the same thing. WTF???
