Nothing Good Happens After 2am
Once again, proving the above statement true:
- Kevin Jones ran for cover when at least two guests at a weekend party pulled handguns.
Crouching beneath a window, the 15-year-old thought the danger had passed when the guests stormed out of the apartment in the Gresham neighborhood. But as he stood up, Kevin was hit by a bullet fired from the street and he dropped to the floor, according to a witness and a source. - Police responded at about 2:15 a.m. and found Jones -- of the 6800 block of South Wood Street -- wounded. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 2:56 a.m.
And once again, one of those "indoor homicides" J-Fled says we can't do a thing to prevent.
Oh wait, this was an "illegal" party that J-Fled says is the root of all evil and we're going crack down on to stop the slaughter of youths.
Hold on, it was in a private residence, not an abandoned factory.

Geez, fighting crime is hard. Keeping track of all of J-Fled's variables is almost impossible.

J-Fled, this is a very complicated case. You know, a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-yous. And, uh, lotta strands to keep in my head, man.

Adding to that, youths under the age of 17 should be AT HOME before 10pm/11pm on weekends. Parents should know where their children are. I'm not going to say I was a a saint at that age, but no way was I out in the street or at a party at that time of night/morning.
Funny how the Scumtimes originally reported that this happened at 2:15 pm. Don't know if anybody else saw that online.
If the police would have broken up the party it would have been police harassment. Since the party went on (don't know if there were any calls to it), the police didn't do their jobs. A 15 year old out at 2am, why weren't the police doing their jobs? That will be the "caring" family and media's response. Sure Father Faker will have something to say since this happened 2 blocks from his church. Stay safe CPD.

If we were "out" that late, it was on the front porch or lawn with our parents sitting on the front porch next door!

I did, but why let the facts get in the way, right? Any later and they would have said that it wasn't a party at all, they were all getting ready for school and it happened over breakfast!
My grandfather used to say nothing good happens after 10pm or nothing bad happens when you are asleep in your own bed.
These little children today. They're just so active! Probably all that texting gets them wound up.
i disagree with you. i ve received a couple of productive phone calls at 2am. got to be on call at all times.
Again mama has no idea where her minor child is at 2:15am and mama don't care; he's out of her hair so she can do her thang.

if this would have happened in glenview or buffalo grove the parents responsible for the party would have been paraded in front of the tv cameras and charged with some kind of a criminal offense... all the kids at the party would have faced some sort of punishment from either the law or their parents....
Sure if the kid hadn't been out, then he woulldn't have been shot. It's that simple...KNOW WHERE THE FUCK YOUR KIDS ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we need to look into this a little further. The guy that died was INSIDE when he was shot, but the shooter was OUTSIDE when the shots were fired. So is it an inside or outside homicide? I think that just maybe J-Fled can start a new seperate catagory for these types of murders.
