Taser, Taser, Taser!
- Police used Tasers in three separate incidents on the West Side late Friday and early Saturday, according to police.
About 8:45 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of South Pulaski Road, police used a Taser to subdue a 49-year-old man who matched the description of a person wanted in a robbery, according to Harrison District police. After further investigation, it was determined the man had not been involved in the robbery but had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in a different area, police said. - The second incident occurred about 10:30 p.m. in the 3200 block of West Lake Street. A 22-year-old woman was fleeing in a vehicle from a domestic dispute in which she injured another person, police said. When police confronted her, she refused to get out of the vehicle and police used a Taser to take her into custody.
- This morning about 3 a.m., police were chasing a battery suspect in the 4200 block of West Madison Street. Police discharged a Taser, but missed the suspect, police said. The man was eventually caught and taken into custody.

Goes right along with fires, everytime theres a fire in the city a fireman is always hurt. Might have only stubbed his toe on the curb, but it's reported as a fire related injury, go figure...
I hate this job, I am glad I took the day off tonight...!!!

Are you smoking something? There are plenty of fires were the media is never told of any injuries and how serious they really are. There are guys that are seriously hurt and off for months at a time and the paper will say nothing or say the injury was minor. Besides real firemen don't complain about a stubbed toe. If we layed up over minor B.S. we couldn't go to our side job in the morning.

A Firefighter that goes to the hospital for a "stubbed toe" is not being a crybaby but is being cautious.
Probably like the CPD GO that says any physical hurt is to be documented. It is for your protection. One never knows when a trivial injury may turn out to really be something. Without the paperwork, you are screwed.

As a PROUD, EDUCATED and HARD WORKING PUERTO RICAN, I can tell you little Luis G does NOT speak like a PUERTO RICAN...he sounds like the typical hood rat from Humboldt Park who never bothered to learn how to speak PROPER Spanish, OR English, for that matter.

How does the use of tasers in 011 reflect "management"? Sounds like the wc's take care of the paper if so many taserings take place there.
11 blows donkey balls! From the desk Sgt having you wait 20 minutes while he ignores you and when he finally gets to you he makes you feel like your a bother. W/C reading your arrest report for an added 10 minutes while he questions everything on it. Fucking bosses afraid of there own shadows. Treat P.O.'s like shit yet still want to make arrest. I work in 11 and can tell you the bosses suck just look at our fearless commander (Nuff said). P.O.s in 11 are the best in the city always helping each other out and offering help that i can stand by and say with pride. Z.F.

Teachers need a cut in pay.
Classes lasted 45 minutes when I was in school in the late 60's.
Classes are 30 minutes now but teacher pay has increased tremendously.
This means more pay for less work and still they complain and steal.
And the students are getting the shaft.
