J-Fled, Resign Please

Shortshanks has to know you're dragging down his reelection chances at this rate. You've lost the streets and the innocents are paying the price:

• A young girl was killed and her young relative was injured when gunfire erupted Tuesday on the Far South Side, police said.

  The two children were shot by two men on bicycles about 7:55 p.m. near Indiana and 107th. The shootings came after an argument among teens.

  Yolanda White, who lives in the neighborhood, said the shooting stemmed from an earlier confrontation in the neighborhood. That argument then escalated to a larger dispute between others, she said.

  Gunfire broke out and everyone started running, White said.

  Another resident, Patricia Clay, said the incident began with an argument between two teen girls and a teen boy. Then at least 20 teens became involved in the dispute, Clay said.

With all of these named witnesses, we're sure the neighborhood will be coming out and cooperating with the detectives en masse.

In the meantime, we have something like almost 60 shot and 8 dead over the past 5 days, including an innocent man attending a picnic and this 9-year-old girl playing basketball.
