Citizens Call Out J-Fled
- The rumors were spreading Saturday night. Neighbors heard that gangs with guns might crash a popular family festival in Morgan Park.
They did.
As CBS 2[...] learned, residents warned police, who came. But it didn't seem to matter, particularly for 47-year-old David Buckner. - "I didn't see it personally, but I did hear it came through the computers on Facebook," said one resident, who declined to be identified.
He says he hears gunshots two to three times a week, and when word spread there could be more Saturday, he called police.
So did neighbors, including Latoya Stokes, who was at the park Saturday night. She said felt safe when police showed up.
But people pulled out guns and fired them, anyway. It was, in Stokes' words, "the boldest thing on the planet."
Chicago Police Supt. Jody Weis said the incident reflects disturbing trend among lawbreakers.
"We are faced with increasing ... lack of respect for authority," he told reporters Monday. - Still, Weis tried to calm fears about the violence this summer, saying, statistically, crime is down in the city.
"Every category of violent crime has decreased," Weis said.
"It's not down over here -- I don't know what neighborhood he's talking about," countered the Ada Park neighbor who declined to identify himself.
Don't you get it yet? It isn't a lack of respect for authority. It's MANPOWER.
There aren't adequate numbers of police to respond to threats, credible or not so credible. Supposedly, the District commander was downtown answering questions yesterday. What did they know? When did they know it? How many cars or teams or extra personnel did they or didn't they assign to what had previously been a peaceful gathering?
Instead of addressing the problem from a political standpoint and doing the redistricting that should have been done 25 years ago (and truthfully, re-evaluated and done every 5 years anyway), the leaders of this city and department have been playing a numbers game seeing how low Department numbers can dip. Obviously, they've gone a bit too far, but no worries - Shortshanks has his patsy in place, speaking to the media for the past week or so, telling everyone things are OK, that it was worse a decade or so ago.
The citizens in Morgan Park know Shanks and J-Fled are full of crap. They're living in a war zone. They aren't believing any of J-Fled's fancy talk, color maps or "predictive analysis." And the gangbangers are just moving farther away from where the pitiful few cops are stationed, finding the holes in the thinner and thinner blue line.

Thanks for what you all do as always.
I grew up in South Shore during the late 70s. There was crime but nothing like this .. we still had block parties and everyone had fun. The bad families and kids of my time were taboo and were treated as outsiders if they didn't get their you know what straight.
Looks like that moral fiber has been lost or crushed by fear of retribution. What people don't realize is that if they all stand up together they can take back control. They need to help you help them.
Yet without more boots on the street their fears are justified, through no fault of your/their own you can't be there to back them up when they STAND. That is the mayors and his bought and paid for aldermens fault.
More 022 district crime being kept quiet.
How about the four fifteen years old children robbed at gun point on 5 August at Sutherland School. Then the six kids M/2 playing basketball at 106th and Seeley an hour later?
10 Caucasians robbed at gun point by the usual's. WTF
All the cars were over east, the middle class dont need no police.
Very similar to Obama getting on camera taking about the "summer of recovery"and how many jobs he saved and created. Remember folks, we are just simpletons to these awesome leaders.
WHAT? Weis didn't know this was going to happen and where? What about that new technology?
For anything to change, there is going to have to be a global attitude adjustment against crime. That means Alvarez, the courts, everybody. And it will take years to turn this around. You are dealing with at least one generation of ghetto rats that have NEVER had any respect for authority and another generation coming up. I've never seen it this bad.
Maybe Abbate could beat the piss out of another bartender. Maybe then Daley will get rid of Weis.
---not a cop
J-fail, you say you can't prevent or be responsible for "inside" violent crime, yet the crime report which YOU filed shows that 70%+ violent crimes are happening OUTDOORS where you say you can have some impact.
You CAN'T explain it away jackass.
We now hold warrants for J-Fled's arrest charging 666 felony counts of aggravated bullshitting.
I believe the problem is both the manpower shortage AND a lack of respect for authority, due to the fact that if we do our jobs and make the slightest mistake (and sometimes not even make a mistake) we are open to punitive damages from lawsuits.
GOTTA RUN!
ARE EVENTS NUMBERS UP?
jody is on t.v. talkin. bullshit. every speech is like he is reading from a script. the same old stats bull shit, your advisor is making you look like a fool, you have no idea, what the hell is going on.every statement' is a kiss ass statement.you have to leave your own men do'nt trust you cannot lead if you have no followers.understand you are making a fool out of your self .after you walk or run''''' away from this job you have to live with yourself and look back and say boy was i lead a stray.ran amuck. hood winked' bambuzzled''by my advisor.
The lack of respect for authority is brought about by you J-Fled. You make it impossible to do the kind of police work that needs to be done in order to send a message to the criminal element that this behavior will not be tolerated.
Pay NO ATTENTION to that man behind the curtain!!!!!
Off topic, but soon will be the main topic. Sidley and Austin, noted Chicago Law firm has advised state governments that they have no obligation to fund the pensions and that we are not protected by state constitution. They are recommending that the pensioners take a reduced amount now to avoind collapse of the funds. Troubling times are coming and the court fights will start soon. Illinois is last in the nation in funded pensions, 80 billion in the red. Chicago's funds are very close. And, Federal law prohibits us from collecting what is owed us under Social Security. How nice!!
Ok people of Morgan Park, when the bangers shoot in the air, you take out your guns and waste them! There. Problem solved.
Gee, Mr. Buckner. The charts all show that statistically crime is down. Sorry you became one of the statistics, but that's the risk you take in Chicago.
If the department and oec got more selective to what calls they would assign for service, there would be more proactivity. Some officers have just put it in cruise mode and just go with the flow because of the high volume of calls. They can't be proactive because the dispatchers are on that ass as soon as someone becomes clear and sometimes before they clear, especially with some of the dispatchers playing the gps game. Unless there is an incident in progress some of these reports can be done online. The reports are just for stat purposes anyway. How many burglaries are answered and the victim has no insurance and has no idea of the brand tv was taken. This is a prime example of a report that should be done online or through alternate response. Why tie up manpower on meaningless reports that will never have an offender in custody. How many domestics has an officer responded to and the person wants their teenage child out for being disrespectful? This sort of call is not a police issue and quite frankly is a waste of manpower. To summarize, the police department, mayor and aldermen need to stop babysitting people who are taking manpower off the street for incidents that are not criminal or have no chance of having an offender being arrested.
Isn't another one of those "peaceful gathering"s scheduled for Saturday?
But lack of respect/fear of authority figures does enter into it. And that's this adminstrations fault, too. Tie our hands with CR's and lawsuits, and see how eager we are to be proactive.
the falldown guy....is gonna fall.dont bet against the next sup being a black female/or male. dont worry about qualifications..its ''their turn''.the politics on this job stink. i need a hot shower!

That pension problem is coming at us like a freight train - getting hard to ignore.
Most can't afford to retire due to poor performance of stock market and realestate. Soon it won't matter as we will all be on obamma care.

J-Fled is actually Bagdad Bob in disguise!
"Bagdad Bob" quotes
"There are no American infidels in Baghdad. Never!"
"No I am not scared and neither should you be!"
"The American press is all about lies! All they tell is lies, lies and more lies!"
"They will be burnt. We are going to tackle them"
"Search for the truth. I tell you things and I always ask you to verify what I say.

"I truly believe this will revolutionize policing. But an exact science, it is not," said Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis.
"Based on those two sets of information, the predictive analytics and human intelligence, we will deploy our resources daily based on where violent crime incidents are expected to occur," said Supt. Weis.
On Monday, Weis said "there were seven homicides and 21 aggravated batteries reported in the city over the weekend. But the figure must be taken in context, he said.

Are the districts at dangerously low levels ? Yes. But does that mean you don't do your job. This attitude gives the lazy an excuse no to do anything and it spreads like wildfire through the district. There are many claims that management wont back you but I can't recall one instance where a P.O. was just doing his job without beating someone or stealing from someone and got in trouble. Can you police in the same manner as before? No. But you adapt and change. The bad Guy you stop and catch with a pistol maybe the one that was going to shoot a fellow officer . For the most part the workers are still out there humping and unfortunately they are in the minority.

I know you're a police officer and have imbued knowledge, but maybe, just maybe, there are some who disagree with you.
citizens of morgan park
ask district commander of 22 how
many officers are assigned to caps office , crossing guard supervisor,
his front office staff and other inside clerical assignments , foot posts while he has us working 1 man on midnights and afternoons
also 2 ssergeants are assigned to caps , assign the sgts and caps officers to street duty fighting crime not shuffling papers
"The lack of respect for authority is brought about by you J-Fled. You make it impossible to do the kind of police work that needs to be done in order to send a message to the criminal element that this behavior will not be tolerated."
Don't risk the lawsuit, punitive damages and prison. We will never be LEGALLY able "to do the kind of police work that needs to be done in order to send a message to the criminal element that this behavior will not be tolerated."
If it is not 100% legal don't do it.
Five Killed in Chicago Violence Over Weekend

Sun-Times Media Wire
Chicago - From Friday evening hrough Monday morning, violence in Chicago claimed the lives of five people and left many others wounded.
I moved to 100th and Prairie back in the late 1970's. I observed the increase of crime in that area around 1997. What took the cake was in 2008 I was sitting in my living room around 1530 hours and witnessed first hand a male subject pull out a hand gun (in front of a public school) and shot about 20 times in the direction of a gang ridden house and fled. This has never happened in the entire 30 years I lived on that block. I witnessed the decline in that neighborhood and could not wait to escape into a much better community that was concerned about the people.
I told you before, Chicago Police Department has become a Public Relations Department not a Police Department. The criminals are calling the shots. Offenders or their family members should not be able to sue if the offenders are offenders. This is crazy. Stop paying these people. These people will sue if Baby Bro just killed a citizen and the Police killed him. Their justification to sue is the Police should have winged the offender. STOP PAYING THESE PEOPLE. Let the Police be the Police and stop sympathizing with these family members. They don't care about Baby Bro. They now found a way to get easy money.
Jfed is Daley's control over the Police. Jfed and Daley will play with the numbers. I read a 24 hours report where a victim was shot in the head in a car, and the report read death investigation - not homicide. WTF If it's not on the news media, it will be called agg bat, death investigation etc everything but homicide. That's why the numbers are low.
Reduce the number of Aldercreatures at City Hall, esp Beale who cares nothing about his own neighborhood, much less about the city. His only objective is to be close to the mayor, so he can get some of the money that is floating around that no one can account for.
I have since moved away from this violent city. And I predict that things will get worse. People ask me about Chicago and I tell them to stay far away. The city is not safe to live or visit.

First of all, Mr/Ms Hair Gel, what do you care? It seems your concern is merely about your seniority number, not the health and welfare of your colleague. If he does leave, but they do not hire his replacement, your seniority number might change, but his leaving will have little effect on the benefits of your lower seniority number. Advancing fron 200 to 199, when there are only going to be 199 employees, is still being on the bottom.
Second, it is just like being in a dice game. HE CHOSE to take a pass on the 2010 dice game. HE CHOSE to play in the 2011 dice game. It was HIS CHOICE. It might still work for him and, then again, it might not. The time limit to jump into the 2011 dice game has not yet passed.
If he was NOT maxed out in either, or both, time and age for the 2010 dice game, it is somewhat understandable that HE CHOSE to wait for the 2011 game, but if he was maxed in both time and age for the 2010 game and he waited for the 2011 game, he was very foolish, but it was still HIS CHOICE to do so. When you choose to shoot dice, sometimes you win and sometimes you get fucked.
weis has already done too much damage to be brought back by daley if daley wants to be re-elected as it appears he does.
I hate to say this, but I wouldn't be surprised if Huberman is the next superintendant.
I hope I'm wrong.......

CPD officers are covered under POLICEMEN'S ANNUITY AND BENEFIT FUND OF CHICAGO which is NOT funded by the State of Illinois. A default by the state will not automatically affect our fund. The City of Chicago is obligated to pay the pensions. You can bet mayor mumbles would take a long look at that one but it is certain political suicide to snatch police pensions away to say nothing about the city really going up for grabs.
Gangbangers run their mouths online but also they are smart enough to plant false rumors online, in order to draw law enforcement off track. We need more Troops, Everywhere. Elections are coming, don't be satisfied with the status-quo, taxpayers and their families deserve full and professional police protection, and a quick response when in need. This isn't happening. REMEMBER NOVEMBER. VOTE FOR PROVEN CONSERVATIVE LAW-AND-ORDER AND FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE CANDIDATES ONLY, WHO WILL SEAL OUR BORDERS, AND BE TOUGH AS NAILS ON WASTEFUL SPENDING AND CRIME.

Shortshanks will do some polling. The results will determine which race supports him the least. That will determine the race of the next superintendent.
You better belive its manpower. I work in a slow district on the northside and we are woefully short. I can only imagine what the south and west side districts are going through. Seriously, get rid of all the B.S. teams and units. Gun and saturation teams should be the first to go back to the district. Why do we need a gun team anyway?

At least in 008 we have a commander with balls, who keeps some cars on the west end and does not allow them to be used for taking care of the animals over east!
Alexander is looking to push out kuemmeth and wants all 5 districts in area 2 to be black commanders.
Mike Alexander won't do it and they wouldn't give it to Glenn from 006. So that leaves jones from 005 who is a complete stroke or Davis from Alexander office, who is a nice guy but is maybe qualified to be a 911 call taker.
J-fled.... you are the fuel that contributed to the lack of respect for authority...sometimes the criminal element needs the type of POLICING that you can't read about in any law books in order to send a messege that their behavior will not be tolerated.......but we all know what you did to COZZI when he tried to control the dusturbed crackhead's behavior...
you J-PUD, and many fake reverands stood up for the criminals and hand cuffed the police...now we POLICE by the book and you see the results.
If you're going to redistrict and realign beats then you need to disband some units in the process. I'm all for having a city wide unit, but there is no need for all these Area Units or TRU/GEU.
We are over 4,000 police officers short! Soon we will all be riding one person cars!
The citizens in Chatham, Morgan Park, and other formerly decent neighborhoods know that the Mayor and Weis are full of crap!
The more Weis tries to justify crime being lower this year, week, day, month-- whatever-- the more ignorant, stupid and incompetent he seems. The citizens don't believe him, simply because it is not true!
Anyone with half a damn brain who lives in the city knows that crime is up. Maybe murders are down for now, but what about shootings, stabbings, robberies, carjackings, etc.?
I live in Chatham. You didn't have police officers killed, children playing basketball shot, pregnant women being carjacked in broad daylight. But you do now. Gang bangers who have moved into Section 8 housing in parts of the city where most people are hard working, and law abiding, and where violence was rare are now preying, terrifying and trying to capture new territory.
We need more police. Period.
And I and others thank you for the job you do, and hope and pray each and every day that you go home safe to your families.

You want to know why? Maybe because it's not as bad as everyone on this blog makes it out to be. I still enjoy going in to work every day, I work with great people and most of my supervisors are good too. Doesn't matter who is in charge, it really doesn't affect me and my watch one bit, and that's the truth.
If you have "years" to go, and your'e so looking forward to retirement already, stop talking your game and hit the road already.

You are right but the ghetto dwellers are used to having this type of "police service" and there is no turning back. Sometimes we go to a domestic and it's the usual bullshit (hibbity jibbity, "he disrespect me", "he got my baby daddy's baby", etc....) and we give out a code, they will call back again and again and again. And it will be "he got a gun, he outside my door, help, help, help" and then the phone gets disconnected.
It's ridiculous that there's not enough cops on the streets. We live by the United Center in the Westhaven development and are thankful for the wonderful police that have helped teach the ex-project dwellers how to act around normal people.
Just wait until school starts and class sizes are up. When the kids don't get the attention they need at home, they look for that from teachers. With 33 or 35 kids in a classroom, that's not going to be possible. So, the kids will look for that attention in the streets. And without enough cops to beat down the gangbangers, what do you think is going to happen?
Perhaps it is due to J-Fled's lack of respect for LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS.

New state law bans employer credit checks in hiring
Posted by Monique Garcia at 11:35 a.m.
Illinois employers will no longer be able to run credit checks on those applying for jobs under a measure Gov. Pat Quinn signed into law today.
Supporters say the move is aimed at preventing employers from turning away job seekers due to poor credit amid an economic crisis that has left many unemployed and struggling to pay the bills.
"If you lose your job and your credit is damaged as a result, and employers use your credit to prevent you from getting a job, this is a vicious cycle folks will never get out," said Sen. Don Harmon, an Oak Park Democrat who sponsored the legislation.
Under the new law that takes effect Jan. 1, employers cannot use credit history to determine whether to hire, fire or promote someone. If an employer is caught accessing such information, they can face legal action.
---
This under Gov Quinn's new program "Hire a Deadbeat"
Even deadbeats need a job I guess. And that traffic jam on the Intestates leaving Illinois? Those are employers not interested in hiring Illinois' deadbeats or former governors.
Need I say it, Republican for Governor in the fall.

When I asked my alderman after a community meeting about the crime problems, shortage of cops, etc., he/she said he/she personally witnessed Shortshanks giving J-Fled an "ass whippin'" last week. He/she thinks J-Fled is history.
Chicago Citizen
We don't need computer analysis to quell crime.
Hell, I could do it with just two people.
Bring back Russ Ewing to get all the criminals to come in and surrender and let Seiser handle all the paper.
Case closed.
You heard it here first. I hope you 35th St. former paper jumpers don't steal MY plan and go running to J-Fled like it was your great idea.
Move along now...

How nice!!

Sidley and Austin.....who actually runs that place? Who is behind that statement?
scc, for the sake of argument im gonna disagree a little bit. Scc, i completly agree with you about the manpower. We are way to short to cover the entire city let alone respond to all of the b.s. calls. However, we as a police department have been "de-balled". I dont think anyone here will disagree. nobody is willing to kick in a door anymore, handcuff anyone in public or put hands on anyone. everyone on this job is terrified of weis, cameras, lawsuits(which is idiotic to be scared by those), daley, civil attorneys, the public etc.. this department has turned into a bunch of crybabies and people scared of thier own shadow. every single person on this job is beyond paranoid of being fired or indicted....can I blame them???? absolutly not!! J fed and the bosses and states attorney will hammer you for any little thing. with us knowing that we will NOT go above and beyond for anything... as we lay down more to "stay out of trouble and collect that check" the bad guys rise up more and more and get out of control and now here we are... crime out of control and a complete lack of respect for the police...wies is right... there is a lack of respect of authority.. the reason they dont respect the police is because wies has given us no choice except to lay down. it will never ever get back to regular. once a copper is paranoid it will never ever change. you could make general patton the supt and coppers will still be scared... this department is dead and de balled.. never will it be like it was. this city will get out of control. there will be no hard nosed officers left to teach new recruits what your "supposed to do" out on the streets.. all the new recruits are going to learn the way to lay down and not be the police.... were doomed.
What kind of boss SPARs a PO nowadays?
______________ (fill in)
You think manpower is short now wait til change day. The sgts list is coming out Thursday with the academy starting Monday. It's only going to be 30 po's but it will still be 30 less blue shirts on the street (those that actually worked the street that is, ie J-Fled's driver) And just wait til you see the transfer order that comes out Friday. The patrol division is going to get even lighter when EB moves all of the people he didn't have time to get into OCD before he left. I have a question, weren't there like 60 shot and 8 dead this weekend? Why isn't EB on the hot seat? It cost DD his job, why does EB still have his? Can you say double standard
How do you teach a value system to this generation, I guess the Rev's are not doing their job but than again how did they become a Rev. after all.
i agree with the manpower shortage. but you can't deny the lack of respect as well. a few years ago, myself and others i know would get out and slap the shit out of people when you hear someone say "fuck the police". now we are just shaking our heads and laying low from the cameras....

Scare tactic by Quinn. Governor's office told them what opinion they wanted and that's what Sidley and Austin wrote. (Isn't law wonderful?) Meant to panic people into taking what they offer in the near future.
Don't worry, it'll never happen. Not because of the constitution, but because the judges will get to decide it. And they aren't going to have THEIR pensions threatened.
Jfled never mentions one type of crime statistic. Aggravated batteries. Why? Is the fear of crime real or just a media stunt? Who else can Jfled blame for the violent crime and assaults against police? Police always controlled the street. Now they have no fear and this puts beat officers in a bad situation. But, aggressive patrol with professional and courteous behavior? What does that mean downtown Ernie Brown? Jfled, lead the charge against crime on the street, not behind a computer.
Quit harping here on the 55 and out for next year. I am quite sure that as we nudge closer to the end of this year, you'll have way more than 100 applicants ready to pack it in and move on. This job is crap, the leadership sucks, and morale/public support has never been lower. I know lots of people in their mid to late 40's who wish they could walk TODAY.
Maybe Shortshanks will offer some sort of buyout of those people, because a whole bunch of folks who don't quite qualify for the 55-and-out want to bail quickly. I see manpower reaching even lower levels around the middle of next year; who knows, we might even sink below 9,000 actual cops who work the street...don't think it can't happen. Oh,and before I sign off here, Daley Weis and Masters (x3), fuck you very much!
Off topic, Derrick Rose cruising around Englewood last night in his Masareti. It's amazing, you can take the man out of the ghetto but not the ghetto out of the man..Yeah that picture of him flashing the gang signs was "just a mistake".
Hate to say this aloud again but its possible EB will be running this department soon. Shorty needs the vote that EB can guarantee him. And Shorty layered it with putting AC in 007 and PT in 011. That gives Shorty reverend control on south side and west side. Pay to play. At all of our expense. Prick.
OT: Great job by 024 / 020 today with bank robbery on Devon ave. 024 District Bt copper sees guy running down Devon and get in cab not knowing of robbery as of yet....Follows cab just in case, call comes out and 2451 along with others get it stopped and jagoff shoots himself in the head before being taken into custody. All went home safe... Great job 2451 and nice job assisting units...

HATE CRIME??? Oh I forgot, that doesnt apply if the victims are WHITE.
Jody, Mike Masters and the rest of saviors of CPD:
You don't have a fucking clue about policing a city. Get lost before you have even more blood on your hands. That 5 year old that just hot shot, his parents don't give a fuck about your stats and profiles.
"The rumors were spreading Saturday night. Neighbors heard that gangs with guns might crash a popular family festival in Morgan Park....residents warned police...'I didn't see it personally, but I did hear it came through the computers on Facebook,' said one resident..."
This needs to be considered, especially the way things are today in some areas -- if you tell me that there's going to be a gun battle somewhere, I'm sure not going to pack a picnic basket and gather the kids and go.
It's not right that people should stay home out of fear -- but it's very often common sense that they do so.
Every day is a frightening "block party" for many elderly people; will they get home with their loaf of bread and quart of milk past that "L" station crew, past that corner mob -- or will they be beaten to death while they're trying to get their keys out?
That is terror.
It's too bad about the spoiled barbecue...
If the media only new how much pressure the brass put on on their underlings to fudge the numbers and reclassify the real stats. All it would take is a real investigator under the freedom of info. act, to look at every violent incident and ask, "why did you guys change what this crime realy was?" We all laugh at how they "doctor" the real stats. But if you "play ball in chicago" you will get promoted under the "merit cloutorious" act. Funny how the media still believes whatever these clowns tell them. DUMMIES!

Was talking to a ol timer last nite at rollcall. Said he put in his PAR form for retirement 2011. Was told only 25 officers have submitted so far, and if they don't get 100 total, the 55 and out with benefits won't be honored. Which means they have to try again next year. He was pissed, and he wants out! He's got the time on and the years. I agree with him, what the hell is wrong with the others who don't want out of this dept! Everyone talks a good game, but then everyone balks at the chance. There is life outside of this dept, take advantage of it. Life's too short! I have years, and I mean years before I'm eligible, but at least I'm looking forward to it!

Hey, just check out the senority of the 9161 and you will see a whole crew of guys with 38 years plus. Come to 023 and you will see guys who can barely walk. There's a Tact Sgt. with 35 years plus that looks like he's 90 and a Biggest Loser contestant. He has no business on the street and is a safety risk. They even have a Sgt. on days with 41 plus years on. It's sad, but guess these guys hate their home life and don't want any return on their pension investment. Oh well, each to his own.
I dont know which neighborhood he is talkin about, because its OUT OF CONTROL everywhere ..

Hey shortshanks, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.....oh yeah yeah, don't forget your puppet, J-Fled.....
AMF
The reason there is a lack of authority, is because JFed Pole Smoker showed the world what happens when you disrespect the police......
Can you say William Cozzi?
My only hope is that these thugs brutalize the fucking liberal dick heads who scream about police brutality so that they will start to realize that is the only way you deal with force and gain respect is by force and a strong showing.
One can only hope.
The totals are still coming in; 65+ people shot in the last 5 days.

How many signatures are required to run for Alderman?
When does it begin?
I think I may have a few coppers lined up, depends upon how hard it is to get on the ballot. Let's all start thinking about getting guys slated, especially in easy wards.
CPD 2011, the True Blue Ticket,lol...
Three kids shot, one fatally within the last few hours...
So...
Did j-fled, the exempts and the policy group (aka The Funny Company) and their "predictive ANAL-ysis" super-duper computer aka Weisenheimer (The Funny Company yet again... those of you 50+ y/o Garfield Goose fans know what we're talking about ;^) predict this tragedy was going to happen?
We predict that in the next five minutes, yet another dog is going to squat and take a shit in the area of Madison to North Ave. and Western to Austin Blvd.
Who do we have to drive the pea-soup green '86 Caprice up on the sidewalk after to get our other $310k?
Ooops! Can't do THAT anymore! the days of the crazy, ghetto Po-leece are forever gone and the public has no idea how good they had it until they started listening to shorty and the media's refrain of "The Police are your enemies."
Good, rugged Policing sometimes involved breaking the teeth and will of hardened criminals... Now the criminals are gnawing the very ass off the citizens with new teeth paid for on the citizen's dime.
We laugh at the irony...
something has to give!

get busy, it's your neighborhood.
If the residents of the crime plagued neighborhoods voted - Daley would be out in a second. But they don't. Everybody else thinks the city is pretty and he's doing a great job.
Oh shit.
TO: There are many claims that management wont back you but I can't recall one instance where a P.O. was just doing his job without beating someone or stealing from someone and got in trouble.
It's not that management won't back you. If someone pulls a gun (say a toy gun) on you, you shoot him and he lives he sues the city and YOU. You might have to pay punitive damages, because some liberal jury will say, oh the poor guy got shot and it was only a toy gun. It's the public that is not backing us. When I start hearing that juries are refusing to award damages in cases like the above, then I will believe the tide has turned.

right! because with a background check the shitheads will be lucky to be hired at minimum wage vs making $2000 a week slinging dope. Right! they'd rather work and put on a uniform. SURE!
"not to worry. mary mitchell in todays sun times said that the gang violence and shootings would end if the young gang bangers had JOBS!!!!!!"
She may be right, but it would also end if they were IN JAIL, or dead.
I know there are reports of gang problems in the military, but whatever happened to judges "encouraging" offenders that appear before them to join the military?
Let's put that killing to good use!
Time for a Facebook and Myspace squad or mission team.
How about the media stop reporting the same 'ol same 'ol in these god-forsaken areas where people don't know how to act civililly, who don't have a moral cell in their body. Allow themselves to thin the herd. Maybe that will be a wake up call for the rest of the citizens to start outing the thugs who run the show. The rest of the law abiding citizens have seen and heard enough of this savage behavior.
At the same time, we have to make sure our own communities don't fall into such disrepair and don't allow that criminal element to take hold of our peaceful community. Let's start be weeding out the section 8 crap that is moving in and demand more police service in our own areas.
"Three words: optics, distance,

Roflmaooooo Oh this one is rich!!! If EB gets top cop in Chicago, I can see his new POPE I mean PIMP MOBILE. Leopard skin seats, whale skin tires with white walls, flashing disco lights inside and wig wags that blink to the rap music as he cruises along with one of his Ho's. Doing the ghetto slide with his armrest. Chains around his neck, too many rings and bracelets on his arms fingers, those highly stylish girlie man manicures, dressed out in FUBU with a wetbar in the back stocked with Crown Royal. And the vanity plate will read BLOWME.

You sound just like me when I had hardly any time on. I couldn't wait for those old dog-asses to leave so I could get some seniority. Then one day, I woke up and had 24 years on, was 40 lbs overweight (even though I go to the gym 3 days a week) and the younger officers seemed like they were right out of high school and were arrogant and acted like they knew everything. Guess what, some day you will be old too. And to address your second point, those with so many years on are terrified of being a Wal-Mart greeter when their money runs out. Everywhere you turn you hear about people retiring with money they saved all their lives for which is making zero in the stock market, their CD's are worthless and they can no longer live off the interest. In addition, medical expenses and the cost of living is skyrocketing, and you wonder why people are afraid to leave this job. HELLO, GET A CLUE!

citizens of morgan park
ask district commander of 22 how
many officers are assigned to caps office , crossing guard supervisor,
his front office staff and other inside clerical assignments , foot posts while he has us working 1 man on midnights and afternoons
also 2 ssergeants are assigned to caps , assign the sgts and caps officers to street duty fighting crime not shuffling papers
8/10/2010 09:40:00 AM
This poster is absolutely right. There is a disgustingly LARGE number of inside housecats in 022. There are probably 6 or 7 little blond girls working up in the commanders office. And dont even get me started on the caps office! There's about 10 do-nothing slobs working in the caps office. All these "police officers" show up at 9 or 10am, walk around the building for awhile, sit outside and drink their coffee and have a smoke, then around 1-2pm they're jumping in their cars heading home for the day! It's a total joke!
J-Fled isn't going anywhere untill his "pot of gold" paychecks run out. Even if shanks gives him the heave ho, he'll get the full benefits of his contract.
J-fled has learned to do things the shitcago way. Don't give a hoot about public opinion, hang around till shanks says "the party is over".
Shanks doesn't pick flunkies for their intelligence, they just need thick skin.
Derrick Rose could become Ben Wilson 2. :|

Nothing like riding both sides of the fence huh Bob?
You know what you said and who you said it to. Next time look around to see who is within earshot!!!

That man has always played both sides. He's an ace at making sure he's in positions to keep his son on the Mayor's detail making Sgts pay. He was Starks boy and did what he wanted because Dana was lazy. He tried his manuevers on Jackson and Jackson was smart enough to see right through him and launched him. Now he's back and able to take care of his peeps. Same shit. He is loyal but to his own cause, not yours. Watch out Mike. When will the snakes leave the building???
'OT: Great job by 024 / 020 today with bank robbery on Devon ave.'
Nice job? Didn't dude off himself in the back seat of his 'getaway taxi?' I guess one could say he made a citizen's arrest on HIMSELF! LOL
As far as your comment about the so called blondes working in the front office and CAPS office of 022nd District, you are so wrong. Our district has the lowest count of personnel filing such spots and we work our asses off. Often times we work loong hours (and do not put in time due slips) just so everything can run smoothly. You may see us leave for lunch but do you see us return and stay after hours? So before you make such comments get your facts straight. You have no idea what are job entails. Maybe if you were as concerned about doing your JOB, the streets would be safer! You little d*!ck heads!
