Jimmy Jackson set to retire this spring along with Peterson.
Word out of IAD is Lt. Andrews will be cleared of all wrong doing along with officer Sherry and Ochocki (SOS) and 023 dui king(Fiorito).
There is suppose to be a house cleaning coming of all inside pets and those at callback, they want more cops on the street and they will take anybody.
Inspectors told to hit the streets starting next Thur and hit roll calls on northside, J-Fled thinks that will motivate officers.(more like it will make them hate him more)
Masters will move to CPS after March to assist Huberman if he does not run for Mayor.
FOP Donahue will work for Cook County next year in a cushy roll and will assist Tom Dart during his campaign for Mayor hoping to get a nice spot if he wins.
Daley thinks Ald. Waugs is in the best position right now to become Mayor.
Daley hired a collection of smart people to see if his son has a chance of running for mayor in the future.
Daley ready to ink deal for his autobiography with a big check for his advance. That along with the 1.4 million he has left and he is sitting pretty.
Maggie Daley's cancer is worse then family is letting on.

Starting in November all Tact. Lts will no longer have take home cars along with 50% of Intelligence and Narcotics officers.
Also starting in Nov. more foot patrols , J-Fled wants more cops on foot so citizens can see us and the illusion there are more of us. We may want to bring carnival mirrors also to make us look bigger and taller.

There is only one street Inspector, Sadowski, who is detailed to 004. He works 2 days in 004 as WC and 2 days on WC road trips.
The inside Inspectors are busy doing time keeping audits, District safty (fire drills)checks, court audits, etc. Very unlikely they would be sent on the street.
New Inspectors must be Capts.
One thing is for sure, we as Chicago Police officers need to stick together on a mayoral candidate.

Friend in personel told me that starting at end of this month, CPD will start accepting applications for new police recruits. This is an online application process, with the power test, psych, BI, all done and then a new version of a test will be given in the middle of the process or at the end. So no more initial exam to start it off anymore. Lets see how many lawsuits comes out of this process.........

Hot off the presses! Promotions and hirings will cease until new mayor is appointed. Lists will be kept up until decision by new mayor. Aunt B considering job with Merchandise Mart in security and may retire after election depending on outcome. She feels she won't be made new Superintendent. J-Fled definitely OUT! He was tenatively offered OEMC job prior to Mayor's announcement. Now the Mayor doesn't want to do any moves with personnel because he's leaving. He's going to take it easy, take care of his Wife, and bow out gracefully. Also, if Dart becomes Mayor then Anita Alvarez will be in trouble. Dart does not like her and would have his people campaign against her. Finally, J-fled may move some exempts around. TRU commander was told to clean up his unit or he will be dumped in 30 days. Ryan may be wearing lieutenant bars soon. One last thing, swipe in will be the norm for work and OT. Other departments currently doing this are seeing a drastic reduction in OVERTIME! This will effect Detectives the hardest. No more "spinning the clock" guys. We all were too greedy. Stay safe

Younger Daleys multiple discretions were all Emmanuel needed to exploit to force the Mayor out. My husband despises the Mayor and I am indifferent towards him, but be careful for what you wish for. Emmanuel is downright creepy and power-hungry. Vote for "anyone but him " should be the rally cry.

Peterson already is set with his head of security job for a major Chicago sports team. Where have you been? He had that job for a couple years now with perks and good pay I'm guessing the license is for that.

Terry Hillard's dumb ass took the same exam, along with the security license option, and flunked it at least twice.
What I like about the state exams is none of that clout cheating crap don't count. You pass it and get licensed or you don't. You get your test scores within a month-none of that political BS the city is notorious for, as Hillard , to his dismay, found out.
How can a guy with thirty plus years of big city police experience,and a former chief of detectives for the second largest police department, responsible for security the country's third largest city,fail two detective and security exams? Maybe Cecil Partee should have taken the tests for him like he did for a certain mayor.

Feds will not go any further. It will not look good for the Liberals, all that money that was paid to fix cases. Too many reverands and lawyers involved.
Some of the rumors have a touch of merit. Dicks will be made for sure at the end of this year and next year. Sgts are coming at the end of this year as well.
Test coming down is total BS!!!!!!!!!!!!! The city is over 600 mil in the hole and are not going to spend a few mil on tests. The Dicks list might get to #500 on the list before it comes down. The city is not overly concerned about that list. The Sgt list isn't even to #200 yet. That test is not coming down until it gets past #300. What should have been said is the city wants to get rid of all promotional exams. Lt test done after this list, BANK ON IT!!!!!
The city will try to get rid of the dicks and sgts test as well. FOP will fight tooth and nail not to let this happen. To those who hate FOP, remember they do fight for some things. He was tenatively offered OEMC job prior to Mayor's announcement. Now the Mayor doesn't want to do any moves with personnel because he's leaving. He's going to take it easy, take care of his Wife, and bow out gracefully. Also, if Dart becomes Mayor then Anita Alvarez will be in trouble. Dart does not like her and would have his people campaign against her. Finally, J-fled may move some exempts around. TRU commander was told to clean up his unit or he will be dumped in 30 days. Ryan may be wearing lieutenant bars soon. One last thing, swipe in will be the norm for work and OT. Other departments currently doing this are seeing a drastic reduction in OVERTIME! This will effect Detectives the hardest. No more "spinning the clock" guys. We all were too greedy. Stay safe

The 10:27 AM poster used my quote. It's God's truth and you know it. Why hasn't FOP attempted to defend their asinine choice for the rally venue? (HINT: Because they can't)
Do you have a problem with that? If so, kindly explain.
Anyone who reads this knows that a huge rally outside City Hall during the next City Council meeting would have MAXIMUM EFFECT because:
(1) hundreds, even thousands of citizen bypassers could join us, (2) public transportation center of city,
(3) aside from the City Council, both Antichrist Daley and perhaps our next mayor will be present,
(4) our paramount problem is a critical shortage of manpower and the inherent dangers it poses to both citizens and our fellow police officers, not the despicable, shameless liar and coward J-Fled,
(5) ideal location for media coverage,
(6) compare circling the block at HQ vs. City Hall. City Hall has exposure on all four sides. Only HQ exposure is across the street from the "bottle gang" at Church's Chicken,
(7) there is no rush. Why can't we get our act together during the monthly FOP meeting a week from Tuesday (9/21) rather than to go off half-cocked without input from the membership, and
(8) albeit, a less than scientific vote showed that an overwhelming number (87%) want the rally at City Hall, NOT HQ.
Frankly, I would like to see huge demonstrations at both locations on different days. However, the morale of the coppers OTJ is so beaten down, a poor turnout at HQ would lead many to believe a rally at City Hall would be hopeless. Why try again?
FOP has never explained their choice of venue. WHY? I DEMAND to know WHY.
I would also suggest EVERYONE go to the march on Wednesday, regardless of any other issues.
We can then plan to march on the hall at the next city council meeting, or the one after that. Since the news is out to the media about the march, a poor showing would not be a good thing at this point in time.
I do agree with Northside, there really isn't a reason to rush, and city hall is the better location, but why cut your nose off to spite your face? Go to 2 marches...

Wow, what a bunch of lug heads, please think before you touch a keyboard, first off, all these specialized units won't get disbanded and manpower sent to districts, they have and always will need a large group of coppers to move around on a moments notice, you couldn't mobilize them from the district that fast. I see in tghe future part time coppers working in the districts with full police poweres, before you call me a MUSH, do your homework, we have a weak ass union whose knees buckle under pressure. To me it doesn't make a bit of difference, I'm gone in a short time after 35 years of being here. C. Rahm (Ron, ha ha) is presumably running for Mayor of Chicago. Brady is running for Governor of Illinois.
D. I agree, police and other liked minded people should avoid Democrats! The Democratic Party of 2010 is NOT the Democratic Party of the 1950s and earlier!
