Game Time!

Of course, we hate Green Bay and have no attachment to Pittsburgh aside from some paint that bears its name, so we don't really care much. The Pack was favored at last count.

Game time trash talk for now.

The food is awesome; the beer is cold!! Hate both teams. I give a shit.

Let's see if bad-ass-crime-fighter Sheriff Tom Dart calls a halftime press conference to announce all the square pools he raided today.

Pimp.

As annoying as they are, maybe the Packer Fans might just be right. It is a mutual bond between good people and a classy organization. Bears fans are predominately over served suburbanites who have never played sports in their lives and don't have the same emotional bond with their team.

Seems like mike mccarthy needs to crack that whip, so to speak.

It was great to see that once again network Democratic executives at FOX hired a card carrying Democrat to sing the National anthem and Christina Aguilera totally butchered the anthem. She not only butchered the anthem, but forgot the words. What country is this silly bitch from? Did she ever think of practicing the National Anthem or at the very least request a teleprompter like POTUS. Such an embarrassment to this once GREAT country. Even an Eqyptian knows their National Anthem.

The City of Green Bay, Wisconsin (aka "Titletown, U.S.A.") would like to extend to all Chicago Bear fans a warm welcome to those who wish to visit and see the NFC Championship Halas Trophy, which will be on display in the Lambeau Field Atrium, 1265 Lombardi Way.

You can also see the 2011 Lombardi Trophy, also at the home of the 2011 WORLD CHAMPION GREEN BAY PACKERS.

Cheer up, Bear fans. You guys did real good. No body picked you guys to do better than 8-8. Your defense was scary good at times.

Yeah, too preoccupied with her screaming 'style' of singing to bother to learn the words.

God, how do you NOT make sure you know the words to the anthem you're being paid to sing? Gee, I know the words and nobody's ever offered ME a small fortune to sing it.

I was embarrassed for her. Her 'performance' was an insult.

I got a 2nd chance at age 17. After that I have had a 25 plus year career on the CPD without a blemish. Don't knock second chances. Some people make the most of them.

It's the 3rd and beyond chances that are the problem. One arrest followed by a model life is OK, a 56 page rap sheet is something else.

So what, it is still GREEN BAY. A hick Wisconsin town full of people who decorate their car with duct tape and call it Wisconsin chrome.

That's the only thing people have to do in Green Bay, go down and jerk off while looking at that trophy.

The Bears signed the CFL's top receiver to a 2 yr contract yesterday. He is 6' 4" Andy Fantuz and should be a welcome target for Jay Cutler next season. Hope he works out.

If by "hick town" you mean a working class working city that has stable, low crime neighborhoods, housing that is affordable by working class families, reasonable real estate taxes, a public school system that can teach kids (in English!) without worrying about security, and where the kids actually want to learn and graduate at about an 80% rate, that city workers and residents have no qualms about sending their kids to? And is not overrun with gangs?

A non bloated political structure that does not send an aldercreature to prison on a near annual basis? That is not all wired up and mobbed up with insider crony deals? That is not broke. That actually tries to run itself efficiently. That welcomes business to come there and does not do everything to tax them out of existence or the city limits? That actually is functional democracy? And is NOT a "Sanctuary City." And does not cater to the LINK crowd?

That its premiere shopping area is not becoming a wilding jungle that smart people avoid?

They have art museums and theaters. Movie theaters where the people behave and don't gang fight in the aisles.

While the political structure has ties to the community, there is no major voice from the "store front rev-runs"

And if you drive down the street with a deer strapped to your car, you are not spit on.

Yes, I do (sad to say) live in Chicago. Green Bay is too cold for me. But Chicago is a cesspool that, as a city, is failing. Socially, economically, financially, politically dying. And with the pols looking more to get rich and take care of their friends, the future does not hold out much hope.

Tell me again: What is so great about Chicago???

Maybe Green Bay supports the Packers more because it is the only pro sports team in town. And they win!!

The bears were a healthy and rested team and couldn't put the Packers away when they needed to. The bears didn't deserve to be in the SB. If the bears couldn't beat a team that had important starters out, let alone a 6th seeded team. The bears are shit and will always be shit.

Thank You-I agreed with your entire post. I even drove up to GB with my family for the Super Bowl. Stayed at a water park for the kids-The Tundra Lodge was A#1. Free food and discounted drinks during the game.....A quick walk to Lambeau after the game...Couple of beers with the fans in front of Lombardi's Statue. No Worries about purse snatchings, me or my kids getting "wilded" upon...Wonder what the difference is?? Congrats Green Bay, and Thanks GBPD.

It should also be added that the football team is community owned and because of that interacts contimuously with the community. Try going up there sometime during the late preseasons and watch them workout at the practice field across the street from Lambeau with the players riding the kids bikes to and from the locker room before and after practice. They are nothing like the arrogant organization that is the Chicago Bears.
