Snow Kills Crime

And we're sure J-Fled took all the credit for it, completely bypassing Tommy Skilling. But you knew the streak couldn't survive for long:
  • A man was shot and robbed of a snowblower in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side early this morning -- the first shooting since this week's blizzard hit on Tuesday, police said.

This week's storm kept crime down so much that the shooting was one of the first serious crimes reported to police since the storm landed, Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis said. There had been no shootings in the city since around 3 p.m. Tuesday, when the snow first hit, according to preliminary data.
At least the crime was seasonally appropriate.

I can't believe that J-PUD was talking about crime being down during the BLIZZARD. I heard him talking about it and it sounded like he was taking credit for it. This guy is truely a mental midget.

What? A man shot in Englewood for his possessions at 0140 in the morning? Hard to believe. He probably was a theft offender and was relieved of his prize by a higher class of predator. Rules of the jungle.

With crime down due to the snow, how come the Crystal Ball Unit didn't predict this? I know... their Ouija Board blew away during the storm.

Regarding J-fled & Shortshanks, I'm reminded of a quote by Abe Lincoln " he can compress the most words into the smallest ideas of any man I've met " Small men, small ideas ...except when it comes to scams & thieving.

I know that few members of the department seem to respect the current superintendent because he was a former federal law enfocement officers. But, lost in all of this is the success and respect that Tim Mccarthy has as chief in Orland. So, it can be done. It depends on the personality. Orland is in no way comparable to Chicago in size, but I think the skills are transferable. I think McCarthy would make a fine superintendent of CPD

The reason so few CPD detest J-Fled has nothing to do with the fact that he is a former Federal Law Enforcement Officer. Most of us have worked on cases w/Dea, Atf etc and we get along just fine. Then again we have never felt the need to call any of those hard-working, intelligent men and women "_-FLED". Enough said. As a well-traveled retiree I can honestly say without reservation that there are no coppers anywhere (except maybe NY and Boston) like fucking Chicago Police. You are THE BEST! Never forget it. You fearless bastards.
