SOS Continues

Not happy with the ongoing 023 debacle, the media drags up SOS again:
  • In a federal courtroom last week, the voice of a jailed former city cop could be heard over a speaker-phone.

“This is the 26th extension, your honor, I can tell you.”

It was Jerome Finnigan, a onetime member of the now-disbanded Special Operations Section of the Chicago Police Department, and he was talking about how federal prosecutors asked to postpone indicting him in his criminal case for the 26th time.

Finnigan was speaking on his own behalf in court because after his 2007 arrest, the city has steadfastly refused to cover his court costs in civil cases.

He’s acting as his own lawyer.

So they drag up SOS, throw in a big old helping of Burge, quote Flint Taylor and other plaintiff lawyers and for what? Finnigan isn't costing the city any lawyer fees. We don't even know if the currently filed civil suits name the City as a defendant, seeing as how nothing that SOS was accused of can even remotely be considered as anything but illegal.

So is there even a purpose to this article? Or is it just the regular piling on?

We are talking about the media in the 21st century. They know of no other way. There is not an investigative reporter alive today. All they know how to do is jump on the band wagon and bring up old bs. A plain old simple pile on the bs because for some reason bs about less then 1 percent of policemen is more important then politicians stealing and patronizing merit bs thru out the city payrolls. Not to mention if your connected to the mayor, you obviously get away with cold blooded murder and major thefts from the city pension funds.

26 continuances are considerably excessive. Either prove the case or dismiss the charges. This would never happen to any other alleged criminal. But, of course JF was once a cop so what happens. The good old pile on. Would you expect nothing less of our lopsided legal system created by the same baby boomers that hippies protesting the Vietnam War. These are the same people who went on to become CEO and VP of many of the Fortune 500 companies that have systematically destroyed the economy and the patriotism of this once great proud country.

I love how Michael Savage always refers to the vermin in the media. For awhile I was convinced this was strictly a Chicago phenomenon, but over time I've found it's actually more of a National think-tank within the media. Unfortunately, I'm just shy of convinced that our great Country is poised to fall, and not just fall, but straight up nose dive and land on it's chin. I hope not, but I'm slowly preparing for the fall out. Between the middle east burning, japan, oil prices, a predicted food shortage, our military spread too thin, Obama's sorry indecisive ass, and China licking it's chops, I think we're fucked! Not too mention our Country is over run with pansy ass Liberals!

Finnegan desires to make a deal but cannot explain his relationship with an organized crime figure. That is why indictments have yet to be returned.

Check out Columbia College on Michigan Avenue. There is another whole generation of media slime being nurtered there. The Socialists will make it, the rest will work at Starbucks or put metal on their faces and become bicycle messengers.

The sad part of this is that while 42 Short and his band of thieves raped, pillaged and looted this city like it was their little personal piggy bank, the media refused to print/broadcast anything about the shady deals, save for the hired truck scandal what 5-6 years ago? It just shows you that there is absolutely no investigative reporting in this city unless it's authorized by the little 5th Fl. prick himself. It's just easier for those journalistic bottom feeders to re-hash the past than to actually have to look for a story.

Remember, ALL Law Enforcement Officers; YOU, are hated by the mainstream newsmedia Vermin, who are just puppets for their Socialist masters, who live off the tragety, dispair, and catastrophes of others. They virtually never run any stories on good work done by Cops, [only whn beneficial to them, like on slow news days], or show the true portrayal of how it is to be a real Cop. Remember this at Election time, as the Mainstream News Media is SOLIDLY Democrat. And further remember that when on duty, you are being monitored , watched, and recorded. A healthy dose of paranoia is a good thing to have these days, as you are at least sometimes if not always being spied on while you are out trying to do your job. Therefore, it is more important than ever to follow all rules, regulations and laws. It is imperative to your survival as police officers. If you are incapable of doing such, you should probably find another job, which might not be as good, but is better than being in prison.

Apparently "Justice delayed is Justice denied" does not apply to Chicago Police officers! As a nation we are in some serious trouble, and the justice system has been compromised. Under what basis does the U.S. Attorney justify this immoral delay in prosecuting Finnegan? This is clearly turning into an imprisonment without trial, not unlike what we have done at Gitmo. The difference there is that those prisoners are in another country, Cuba a socialist/communist dictatorship, while Finnegan is in Chicago. Oh, I forgot, Chicago is also a Socialist Dictatorship. Never mind, I am sorry to have mentioned the truth.

please remember the actions of a few members do not represent the hearts and pride of the majority.

So JF has been sitting in jail for over three years, waiting to be charged? he is in jail but has not been formally charged or indicted? three years and no arraignment? obviously the U.S. Constitution does not apply to police officers in this case.

this is ludicrous, outrageous, if true.

either charge him or release him. like one poster said, if they had a case he would have been charged. heck, since JF was arrested, they have charged and tried both burge and blagojevich. makes one wonder where this is going. . . .

NO, Not necessarily so. If you've ever worked on any long term investigations with the Feds, you would know that they are known to hold back years and years, until they are finally ready to throw a net over the whole investigation and round up everyone involved. They are methodical and meticulous, and do take all the time necessary to put the final nails in the coffin.

Another delay is that the Feds are trying to strike a deal with a female North Side pawn shop owner who is supposed to be the key witness against JF. She was his mistress and allegedly bought and fenced several of the items that were stolen from the houses on search warrants. She initially lied to the FBI which is problematic, but the plea is supposed to be worked out soon
