Instead of running out and buying gold/silver while they're deep into historic highs, I propose going to the library, checking out some books on inflation, investing in an inflationary environment, learn what stagflation, biflation and deflation really mean. Learn how they impact your life, how you can get ahead of them.
The people running around hysterically insisting that we put all our money into precious metals are invariably people with lots of opinion, but little actual knowledge.

Public opinion is (unfortunately) formed and pushed by the Media. The Liberal loving Media hated President Bush and took every opportunity to slam him, and so, pushed his "approval rating" down. People were afraid to say they liked the guy or were neutral. History will be much kinder.
The Media cannot stop slobbering over President Obama and his numbers are still tanking. He will be the worst President of our time, and I think people are catching on. History will be much more honest than the current Media that gets 'a chill running up their leg' when they talk about him.
