Funniest shit about this group is that Dan K Webb is on the Board of Directors, you know the guy who defends Ryan, I mean could it get any funnier than that ! Ow yes, hiring the most ineffective Police SUpt in the history of the city of Chicago, can't wait to see the financials for this non-profit. From a CCC publication dated Sept 2nd, 2008: "The Chicago Crime Commission has serious concerns regarding the integrity and
professionalization of the Chicago Police Department (“CPD”) personnel" and then of course they hire J-Fled proving they are no friend to anyone but their own batman and robin wannabe selves.

There is not one law enforcement professional (term used very loosely) in the group (Jody included). Huh???

Should the Tribune choose to delete the TRUTH, I ask that you the reader form an opinion on the agenda of the Tribune. Any evidence of the corruption and/or censorship of facts by the MSM?

I received a phone message from Chicago Crime Commission (CCC) Chairman J.R. Davis while I was unavailable. Rather than play "phone tag", I returned his message stating that he (or anyone else) may contact me via eMail at cpdfop7@yahoo.com

Before HR218 (LEO CCW) a way that certain retired bosses could keep carrying their guns was to get them an exec position with Chicago Crime Commission.

Funny thing about the Chicago Crime Commission: Its function was to keep tabs on organized crime, but they never looked at the City Council..

Not very surprising, really. The Crime Commission has its roots in the Prohibition Era, when it was perceived that the CPD was just not up to the job of taking down the Outfit (given the Outfit's political clout, not the most inaccurate idea ever--when the pols get in the way, it's hard for cops to do their jobs). They're a bunch of self-appointed cop-jock sniffers who like to make charts illustrating their deep knowlede, and pontificate to the press. Weis will fit right in.

And, don't anyone defend the fact she occasionally has to drive to some 'fill-in' assignment around the city. 7:36 a.m. CDT, July 5, 2011

Former Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis has a new job.

The Chicago Crime Commission announced today that Weis is taking a position as the group's new deputy director. Weis is slated to appear at a news conference Wednesday to discuss his new role.

Weis is a former FBI agent who took over as Chicago's top cop in 2008. He resigned earlier this year when his contract came to an end.

7/05/2011 07:59:00 AM

Who is doing the writing at AP these days? Love that last sentence.
FYI, Associated Press, Weis did not resign. His contract ENDED. It was NOT RENEWED. He packed his little boxes and he left. Resignation was not part of the scenario.

THE GANG BOOK published by the C.C.C. is an excellent source of information and real prize if you can obtain a copy. If I get my hands on any future copy I will remove his name photo.

But I just lost a lot of respect for them for this boneheaded move.

This guy has presided over the three sorriest years in my long history with the department. He was brought into the Chicago Police Department so that a criminal conspiracy could drain the city of resources to line the right pockets.

The real question is: WHY IS HE STILL HERE AND WHY IS HE IN THAT POSITION?

It’s not just for the money. After almost a million from our tax dollars wasted on him plus his F.B.I. pension I doubt it is for solely personal gain.

It is not for his expertise. His three years as Superintendent showed he has none when it comes to Chicago, law enforcement or the management of an organization except as a hatchetman to cut it down to size and the consequences be damned. I belong to a law enforcement professional organization which has several F.B.I. members and they knew him as a goof. His nickname there was “Cro-Magnon Man”. Weis never tried to join; there are too many K.M.A. Club/C.P.D. members who would blackball any attempt. I will have to speak to my friends in that organization who work for Chicago Crime Commission.

Probably what he is here is to somehow continue what he was doing over the last three years. Maybe adding the Cook County Sheriff’s Department and all other law enforcement to his targets. Maybe produced more Cozzi cases.

Stay safe, we can’t be too concerned with this goof. Our biggest concern right now is we have to put pressure on our aldermen to hire more police.

Off Topic, but important.

Trying to catch up on my posts and there was some discussion in the section THE NEW THRILL on carrying a firearm in your vehicle.

Whatever you do or carry never have a weapon loose tucked in the seat or placed in a door pocket.

It should be on your person, preferably exactly where you carry you duty weapon.

Since that is usually your hip, go to the dealer of what ever make auto you drive, no matter how old the car, and ask for a SEAT BELT EXTENTION. The Parts Department may have to order it but it is a freebie because it is a disability issue. You might even get one for the squad car you drive.

Stay safe, use the extension properly and it will safely accommodate your holstered weapon with good fast access.

That leaves Chicago. And he already bamboozled Chicago once and didn't even get his hand slapped, so he figured he can rip us off again.

Considering Emanuel badmouthed Weis and made it clear his contract was not up for negotiation, it's shocking another Chicago entity was willing to take him on. They did kind of thumb their noses at the mayor, now, didn't they?

I have no doubt that the FBI SAC called that idiot JR Davis and demanded that the commission give that inept boob j-fled a job. Any movement towards relevance that the crime commission had been making in recent years was just set back 20 years. Good going Davis.

Jody's probably just waiting out the housing crisis like the rest of us suckers.

He probably couldn't sell his condo for anywhere near what he paid, so he's taking this part-timer to pay some bills.

LOL!

Weis in taking a 75% pay cut to only $74,900 a year. Desperation for a failure seeking redemption.

Ohhhh Maaaan!

This shit is too damn funny!

We all know this sad, sorry, misshapen failure should have been swinging from a scaffold for Treason against The United States and 3000 counts of accessory to Murder and multiple counts of Obstruction of Justice for his role in "putting a brick" on intel that could have prevented the 9-11 terrorist attack.

Not to mention j-fled earning our undying ire and disdain for compounding cowardice and failure to act that left Detective Joe Airhart a head shot and dying hostage hostage. We still say j-fled was hoping Joe would succumb so the uncut and unfiltered version of what happened wouldn't be told. That's feeb-think for you... They get to burn and bury their mistakes, if not just pay them to go away.

The public is painfully clueless if not willfully ignorant of this and msm resolutely keeps parroting the line about "Coppers didn't like him just because he was an out sider and wore the uniform."

We wholeheartedly resent and take issue with this ongoing portrayal of Policemen as ignorant and unsophisticated. WE KNEW WHAT J-FLED WAS ABOUT BEFORE HE HIT CPD'S DOORSTEP!

Whenever we took pains to mention this in other media sources, our remarks/posts would be hastily scrubbed and or the comment board would be closed.

Thus we take it as a verification that msm knows that The Police KNOW the real deal about j-fled.

We looked at breaking (wind) news and were appalled by the clueless j-fled fan-boys (either j-fled himself or the feds) rotating their dentures about how he "reformed" CPD. j-fled didn't do shit but what he was told and that was to reduce head count and skew/spin crime stats.

That unsellable condo is fuckin' his ass up...

No secret he was running around like a demented wienerdog/pug crossbreed sniffing every ass and humping every leg he could to keep himself in the public eye and somewhat relevant instead of manning up and leaving.

this fucker will overstay a party... You can turn the lights out escort your guests to the door and lock it, thinking everybody was gone, only to turn around and find this prick sitting on the sofa with his party hat still on...

Will you people ever learn! Weiss did NOT destroy the CPD, it was DAley Daley Daley! He took the merit promotion ritual to the extreme, he made exempts to further his political social agenda without regard to ability. All of the Departsment's problems are at that pricks feet!

This is off topic but I was down at the medical today and the first floor of HQ smelled like a turd.

There is a restroom in the lobby, maybe someone going to the medical section has some gastro problems. Not worthy of too much discussion, but sharpen the eyes to match the nose eh?

There are now 17 comments on the Tribune link "This one." on the top line of this SCC blog. They must have put the comments back. Two comments are by retired Sgt. Northen.

The restroom is on the east side of the lobby and the medical section is on the west side of the lobby. There is a long distance between the two. If you could smell a dump from that far away, you must be part canine or you brought the aroma with you after making the dump.

BREAKING NEWS!

"J-FLED will continue to fight crime in Chicago."

I still cannot believe a reporter on the 5:00 PM news actually uttered those words.

And since when does the hiring of a 75K a year Deputy Director employee merit a press conference? Plus, they turned the press conference over to the new Deputy Director so he could expound on his vision for the future of crime fighting in Chicago! WTF!
