At least 37 juveniles were arrested Friday night for disorderly conduct at a South Side park in the city's Avalon Park neighborhood, officials said.

This sounds good BUT, be very careful with the current President and Atty General and Mayor. When the #'s of arrestees turn out to 99% "Of Color" they will turn on you. This could become a major diversionary tactic, to fire up voters of color in an election year. Remember something, Bill Cozzi is in a Federal Penitentary and the New Black Panthers aren't. To quote President Obama, don't act "Stupidly".

You must not be the police or your reading comprehension sucks. The First line reads 37 juveniles arrested... Since when do we have complaints signed for juveniles? Oh wait a minute, you are the dogass who responds everyday on this blog that you are not doing anything on this job or arresting anyone unless on signed complaints. Take a little initiative dogass before the savage takes over your home front.

I was ecstatic because midnights had to process them. By the way, all of the arrests reports were fucked up. Maybe the desk Sgt and WC should read the arrests reports before they approve them.
Edge mission's violate the constitution. Boss's get promoted p.o. gets civil rights beef. If you do an edge mission note in report the supervisor you ordered it.

No EDGE Mission. They have been out of control at that park for weeks and finally everyone had to go. Hopefully it will make it easier for the next car to respond there.
What is not mentioned is that right after the youths were arrested and all police resources were yanked from the same area to process the arrests, a drive by occurs. Smoke and mirrors in full effect.
I bet the lockup people were jumping in joy for this detail.

The grace of god looked down on us in 2 this year. The rain clear the streets and the park. I would also like to thank all the outside units gangs & safe city to name a couple. It was nice to have the help on 1st watch.

Wow! We work with a bunch of morons. Doesnt anyone kno theres no complaints for juv. Arrests. Most were d.c. And there was some adults included . Hell, even the helicopter was flying around on this one.
note to all of you saying that juveniles don't need complaints signed on them. True you are, but there still must be a complainant for a disorderly conduct/breach of peace arrest.
Not sure what type of disorderly they hit them with.

First off, midnights processed all 37 without one beef, I was there.
Second off, did you ever think arrests are made because the community demands that it be done, and we have a job to do? The majority of the neighborhood consists of middle class and retired good folks. The other part is that your dogass would have stayed in your car after the fifth call and coded it out, actually you probably were the dogass that did that. Thus, making it alot harder when the police get there and have a job to handle.
P.S. It has nothing to do with any commander, so get over yourself dogass.

I'm glad to see there is some pro-active P.O.'s in the force
when its all said and done ,only people with money will pay. we pay more for car insurance, credit, and other items, because others abuse it. do you believe you can collect money from the protected class. dont you have a sticker? do you have tnsurance,plates,drivers license? get the picture,are you a citizen?
Kids just getting together to play basketball or do some bible reading.
let me guess the officers then had them processed at the area.
They waited for the parents to show up. 2 or 3 hours later all the JUVIES were sent home and told not to be bad anymore.

As another poster pointed out, many people in that Avalon Park area look forward to the intervention of the police. Many of the residents support the police and the actions they take to control the criminal element in that area. Depending upon the makeup/the actual District in question, middle class/working class African Americans could give a rat's ass about the race of the officers that respond. Their primary concern is how effective those officers are in reducing the number of violent and property crimes, "quality of life" issues in that District and others. The focus should be on the background, education, class of the residents, not the color of their skin. People with a reasonable amount of education don't get hung up in the issue of race in relation to the services they are entitled to as tax paying citizens. Avalon Park has been a problem for years. The need for strong police responses is welcomed by the people who matter. Trying to lump everyone in the same group just because they live in the area or have a "tan" does not dismiss the fact that it's part of the job description to deal with diversity, regardless of how difficult or distasteful that might be.

You're absolutely right! When I worked in Englewood, we'd assist department of revenue as they were getting threatened or beat up. Now I live in Lincoln Park and they blanket ticket all of us. Even with the requesite items on my vehicle, still got $180 in tickets this week. Thanks Department of Revenue!

Brave comment there cowboy! Have you ever heard of the U.S. Constitution? the Illniois Supreme Court? Do you watch those streaming videos at roll call? Do you read those training bulletins from legal affairs?
Our own Chicago POlice Department tells us that we the police cannot sign the complaints for disorderly conduct (only can do so in specific situations). The illinois supreme court ruled a person cannot be disorderly in a police officer's presence. a civilian has to be the complainant. even on a juvenile arrest, there is no complaint but that does not mean there is no complainant. a complainant has to be listed on a juvenile arrest report.
Get a clue before you put down the officers who would like to do something about that park but don't. the "good middle class citizens" of that community won't stand up and say, "enough" by signing the complaints themselves.
If they don't care enough about their own community to stand up, sign the complaint and go to court, then you shouldn't do it for them. They will laugh, and probably testify against you in civil court, when your name is listed as a defendant in a civil case.
Work Out Here and You Will Learn.... 1st - The Sup was not out at the scene or the area for that matter. 2nd - Two Sgts. Ben & Vuj ordered the arrests due to number of calls in the area for a week straight. 3rd - All processing was done by Sgt. Ben's TACT Team. 4th - We do not need complaints juveniles. 5th - Almost all of those arrested had 006th Dist. addresses. 7th - Calls in the area dropped.
GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU TYPE AND LET PEOPLE KNOW HOW STUPID YOU ARE. WORK YOUR DESK JOB AND LEAVE THE POLICE WORK TO THE POLICE.
