More Daley Waste

If anyone in the media had done their jobs, or there were any whistle blowers in the administration, there's no telling how many tens of millions, maybe hundred of millions may have been saved over the years. Here's another brewing scandal:
  • In March 2004, then-Mayor Richard M. Daley announced a deal that promised to save taxpayer money, reduce natural gas consumption and bring “green” jobs to Chicago.

But taxpayers might see red when they learn how the deal turned out. More than seven years later, the initiative has been quietly suspended amid problems with some of the equipment — and acknowledgements by city officials that taxpayers will probably lose money on the deal and never realize the energy savings that Daley touted, the Better Government Association has learned.

The arrangement centered on solar-powered hot water heating systems made by North Carolina-based Solargenix Energy LLC with technology designed at the University of Chicago.

The city agreed to spend up to $5 million on the eco-friendly systems, and install them on more than 100 public buildings, such as firehouses and police stations, yielding an estimated $7 million in energy savings over 30 years.

In exchange for that commitment — and an additional $1.7 million no-interest loan through the Daley administration — Solargenix agreed to open a factory in Chicago, employing at least 15 workers, and build the solar equipment there.

But hey, the connected folks got their money, so screw the taxpayers. In fact, if you switched some of the players around and changed the name of the company to Solyndra, Rahm might feel right at home presiding over another "green technology" failure.

Solyndra got what...$535 million dollars from the government while Rahm was in Washington?

A half-billion dollars baby -- and guess what?

Solyndra blew through that money in less than one year I believe and has filed for bankruptcy now.

That must of been some fine background and technological feasibility studies done before handing out that money eh?

and guess what else?

Why is Bill Daley in a hurry all of a sudden to return to Chicago? That's in the press -- he says right after elections.

Ignoring all the other money, $1.7 million for 15 employees!!

For over $100,000 per employee I can start any business you want.

I love (hate) that government bodies try to attract companies with selected tax decreases. Well, if a tax decrease helps business A, why won't a tax decrease for all businesses be beneficial. Oh that's right, the politicians can't selectively help out the connected.

Going Green is the latest scam to come our way. Why can't these fucking blood suckers be held accountable for their theft? Some mope goes into a 7 Eleven and robs the place for $65.00 he gets 7 years hard time. What the fuck!

Richard "Ricky: Simon is Daley's next door neignbor and friend.
He also is mentioned in the files of the various organizations that follow organized crime in the Chicago area. He was named by the CPD as the prime suspect in the disappearance of his stepfather's girlfriend back in the 70's. His stepfather was the head of the Janitor's Union at the time.

You can tell alot about an individual by those he associates with!

Several years ago, some city electricians at the airport came up with an idea for co-generation of electicity at the airport. They spent hundreds of hours on their won planning this.
In this plan, the facility would cost NOTHING to the city, the city would them pay for the generated electicity at a cost lower than comed. This would alsoo reduce the costs to the tenants and airlines and supply a stable source of power in bad weather.
Well they were called into the bosses office, and gues what? They were told if they ever submitted another plan, they were fired.
Still, this is the city that works!

Check this out: I may be wrong but I think Simon was a Chicago Police Officer back in the 70's and also owned a couple of bars on Rush and Division Streets. I believe one of the places was called Stem Christy.

I still say they're gonna need to cremate Daley and scatter his ashes when he dies. Otherwise they will spend millions (of taxpayer money natch, not any of "their" stolen funds)) with permanent security to prevent folks from taking a giant shit on his grave.

Like the graft-constructed police station itself is going to last even ten years without sliding off into a chasm in the earth or something.

I call bullshit. All this stuff is bullshit. You'll never realize any savings from any of it -- NOT WHEN YOU'RE PILING ANOTHER 150 MILLION PEOPLE IN HERE ON TOP OF US BY 2050. For every penny you "save" on paper the chain immigrants will soak up ten dollars worth of "services."

Here, the "anchor baby" principle at work in a very big way.

WIFE OF MEXICAN DRUG LORD GIVES BIRTH IN CALIFORNIA

AP – Tue, Sep 27, 2011

"LOS ANGELES (AP) — The young wife of Mexico's most wanted drug lord has given birth to twin girls at a hospital in northern Los Angeles County, according to a newspaper report.

"Emma Coronel, the 22-year-old wife of Joaquin Guzman, crossed the border in mid-July and delivered her daughters at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster on Aug. 15, the Los Angeles Times reported on its website Monday (http://lat.ms/nyfqmn).

"Coronel, a former beauty queen who holds U.S. citizenship, returned to Mexico after they were born.

"Birth certificates listed Coronel as the mother of the girls, but the spaces for the father's name are blank.

"Coronel is believed to be the third or fourth wife of Guzman, the 54-year-old multibillionaire head of Mexico's most powerful drug-trafficking gang, the Sinaloa cartel. The couple married the day she turned 18 at a lavish wedding in the highlands of central Mexico in 2007."

...and there goes the nickel saved by your shitty "energy-efficient" mercury-loaded Chinese light bulb that wipes out the nearby AM radio with its buzzing and interference.

Well -- who got the money?

Ha. Aha. C'mon, it's not like they were shoveling it into a furnace, just gone. Someone has lined their pockets here.

This is the money extracted, nickel by agonizing nickel, from old people afraid to turn on an air conditioner -- or even a fan -- because of the cost, afraid to even open the window because someone might climb in...

Talking "eco-friendly" -- these new electric hand dryers they're putting in places like Target store washrooms are unbelievable. "Saves on paper towel waste" -- and it's not heated air like it used to be, either, but just a real high-velocity blast. Frightening to an adult, let alone a kid who'd want to use it.

The thing is so loud it hurts your ears, and it obviously fills the whole restroom with an aerosol of whatever someone has on their hands.

Lemme outta here.

This world is being made more and more unlivable by the day.

It seems like everything the environmental nutcases come up with is more effective at reducing our standards of living than helping the earth.

The Green movement is just a way of making people feel good about returning to depression-era living.

Simon worked for outfit associate Ben"King of the Janitors" Stein as a driver while working as CP at the old East Chicago Station. He was the last one seen with one Karen Koppel,Steins mistress who was trying to shake him down since he was still married. Simon supposedly met with Koppel at the old Flapjaw's saloon 810 N Wabash and Poof, she was never seen or heard of again.
Simon refused to testify at a grand jury investigation and nothing became of it. He is on leave from the CPD to this day.
Simon was later appointed to a supervisor of part time deputies in the Sheriffs Dept. by Jame Dvorak. This guys life is like something the Cohen Brothers thought up. Amazing.

Yeah, the poor can enjoy their flickering new 7-watt curly-bulb -- but the Green thing is also a sop to the extremely affluent who can feel good about their new 10,000 square foot house with the two-story-high waterfall in the bathroom because the flooring was put in with "solvent-free adhesives" that actually cost three times what the regular stuff would, and similar such minutiae to point out as they give these interminable, shameless tours on women's-daytime-TV-genre programs.

...and in general, it's all just Sanctuary City, garbage-"multicultural," lowest-common-denominator. Have to have cameras all over because "someone might do something," and "security guards" with bell-curve 59 IQs.

Door handles everywhere have to be those weird square things that you'll sprain your wrist trying to grasp -- usually on a door that's twice as heavy and three times as hard to push open as the old one was.

City's answer to homelessness -- tiny little benches in the bus shelters, with cleats nailed across them for good measure so that a desperate man could not even curl up there.

Ends up, of course, as single reserved seating for one morbidly obese person.

Etc.
