More Dead
The second multiple-death event down south in less than 7 days:
- Three people are dead after a shooting occurred outside of a restaurant in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood Saturday night.
It happened in the 8700-block of South King Drive at about 5 p.m.Two people died at the scene and a third person died later at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Police said a vehicle pulled up, at least one person inside opened fire and the motorist drove away. Nobody is in custody Saturday night.

I really hate to see those type of crimes in or around Chatham.
I expect it at Altgeld, Roseland etc, but up until relatively recently
Chatham was a safe neighborhood.

I counted at least twelve dead this week. Even with the new east coast math we gotta be ahead of last year.
Amazing 16 killed in Area 2 in 5 days. Each district got 50 more police offices. Each Tact team in Area 2 has an extra tact car, 6 instead of 5 car called the F car. So how does one explain the increase in crime in area 2.

Be carefull out there guys remember the nature of this crime the offenders killed three people this is a brazen act if you should happen to on view something like this remember that you are, at that point in time the only thing standing in between them going to jail, if they killed three people at one time I am pretty sure they will not have any problem turning that gun and firing at a police officer, these individuals have a different mind set remember who they are they will do whatever it takes to try to defeat escape.

Then, we will not need more officers.

Supposedly one of the 3 deceased had an I.A. for murder and was urged by the neighborhood to turn himself in before the neighborhood took its own measures. Sucks for the other 2 people.
On a side note, does it seem like southside gangsters may have been spending some time atthe range lately. Sure they still suck at shooting but seems like when they hit it has been more effective. ie more dead people

Chatham used to be a good area.
That Chatham triple-killing: Per the news media the shooter walked up to the car very close, fired multiple shots, killed 3. He then fled down an alley into a waiting car.
Hmmm. sounds kinda like a professional hit. Or at least someone who knew what he was doing and why they were being hit.
Any word on the what the story is on the victims?? This doesn't sound like a random act.

It is not true, stupid. How many times has someone on here told you that each homicide victim is associated with a homicide U.C.R. It has been said multiple times and you keep posting this.
You are simply wrong. We are not counting CASE REPORTS of Homicide, currently. We are counting VICTIMS of Homicide.
Each victim whether a victim of an agg batt or homicide in the same case report are associated with the individual UCR codes.
Sometimes Patrol fails to associate properly and temporarily there are MORE victims for homicide than there should be until the associations are straightened out by the Detective "Bureau."

Come on. The Indian Head park murder was an aberration. One murder every 50 years or so. It was truly horrible, and it can happen anywhere for sure. But it's a regular occurrence in areas like Englewood, Pullman, the gardens, Gresham and other minority communities. A very sadly regular occurrence, but regular nonetheless. I'll give you an example of the difference:
The recent quadruple in the gardens came about because there was a store there which regularly received and sold stolen property. That store exists because the community there LET IT EXIST. Everyone out there knows that you can get hot stuff there, and at a good price. No one calls 911 to say "they are selling stolen merchandise at such and such store". You know why? Because the people there want a place or need a place where they can get stolen stuff. So, that store, as they often do, turns into a place where arguments over the payment for those stolen goods can and will (and did) lead to an argument. That argument, in that community, turns to gun play, and four go down.
That won't happen in Indian Head Park because the people there would not allow that store to exist. No store, no arguments over the money for the stolen shit, no shootings, no four on the floor.
A community gets what it wants, or allows or desires. And when it happens, like in the gardens or on 87th and Stony the other night, then it's "how can that happen here?" It happens because too many people, and I mean the people who live there allow it to happen.
So save your dime store sociological explanations for a group who might buy your bullshit. We've seen too much to buy that nonsense.
