Once Again...

...someone hired by an outside contractor finds easy pickings inside the "secure areas" of a police station:
  • Don't forget to mention that one of our citizenship-challenged female custodians here in 011 boosted a 1/W copper's iPhone out of the men's locker room last night. Victim PO was able to track phone via GPS to her residence in 004. She opened the door to return the phone but "refused to come out to be arrested" (another testament to how college/hairgel fucked this job up beyond repair...but this is a topic for another time).

She was processed when she showed up for work in the morning, then had the nerve to bitch about not being read Miranda in Spanish (she WAS, I was there when they were read to her). Moral of this heartwarming holiday story???? What else have these bastards lifted from the station?

Out checks, personal identifiers, interdepartmental mail, WEAPONS have the potential to be swiped. If mentals and others hellbent on causing chaos wasn't enough, we now have to keep a more scrutinous eye (as we always should've been) on the hired help. It'll be interesting to see if this broad has a criminal history.
This comes up every few years. Your best bet is to never leave anything of value in a locker, and that includes gun(s) if you're headed on vacation. Everyone knows someone with a safe. Use it. Stations are the most unsecured places on earth and we aren't just talking about the lobbies.

Good job to the officer's who were smart enough to arrest her after she left her residence. Last I checked, in order to arrest someone inside of their home you need an arrest warrant. Unless there is exigent circumstances or hot pursuit you cannot violate the 4th amendment and just arrest someone in their home without an arrest warrant unless they voluntarily surrender to arrest. Good job by letting her come to work and then arresting her, now the case will stick without a motion to quash arrest due to a violation of the 4th amendment. In case the brain surgeons on this job forgot what the 4th amendment is, it is unreasonable search and SEIZURE. Good job Hair gel "college" officers, don't let anyone tell you different

Before online ANYTHING, direct deposit, etc., I've heard of people getting their paychecks "stolen"/misplaced. Same goes for magazine subscriptions and the secondary/gumar cell phone bills and anything else coppers dont want mailed home. (the desk guys would always seem to intercept the Playboys before they ever made it to the lockup guys that subscribed!) Too many people have access to the desk/mail/report drawers etc. In area 5 the States Attorneys from the courts are always coming in dropping off and picking up their inter-dept mail which always seems to get lost/mixed with our CPD mail. Recently, all the sworn medical re-enrollment packages were left out within arms reach of citizens coming into station to make reports. Long story short...theres ALOT of sensitive and very personal information that can be easily grabbed by other p.o.'s, civilian employees, maintainence people, court/S.A. personel and even the public at large. Then its fun and games for the sgt or WC that gets stuck initiating a CR when someone's check goes missing. Blanket CR# on everyone on every watch, tac team etc that has access to whatever was stolen???? (don't forget the area det's, theyre always around the desk area too). Or how about when the a**holes were taking out parker books and hanging bananas on ex-wives cars and their new jockers, etc halfway across town!!! (I forget exactly how that scandal played out. More bullshit for p.o.'s and supervisors to have to deal with, like how many people had to drop paper for accessing the arrest reports of the two guys from 023 and their onduty sexcapades???? Can you say WITCH HUNT?!?! I wont even get into how many times the janitors were suspected of lifting shit from locker rooms, common areas and storage rooms. Susoecting is one thing, proving is another animal alltogether. Altho, having a GPS'd cell phone kinda makes it hard to say you didnt take it!! BOTTOM LINE: station security SUCKS ASS and lets hope the worst that happens in somebodys phone or OT check winds up lost/missing. We dont need anyone getting hurt or killed when some crazy f**k decides to start actually shooting that loaded ar15 that he waltzed in with.

now watch at court she will have P/D "for free" and a interperter too (provided by the court)
besides what's a female janitor doing on the mens side any ways?
she will say she "found " it on the floor and was planning to turn it in
as all of you know

if some one wants in and they have time and imagination they will get it
and top of that

All our personal information is left for all to see including other officers. We're a police department and our checks and tax forms are left in a bin for anyone to see or grab. Even if no one takes it, is it anyone's business to even look at someone's tax information or direct deposit print out with everything you have deducted? This department is beyond incompetent.

A uniform check of mine was stolen somewhere along the line. When I attempted to retrieve it from the check box in 012 it wasn't there. I reported it to the union and did the required paperwork. It took 6 months, numerous calls to FOP and finally me threatening to hire my own attorney before FOP finally got me my money. Turned out someone cashed the check at a bank and of coarse the surveillance footage was too grainy to make out the Off. The city reluctantly issued me a new check but threatened if they found evidence i had anything to do with the missing check it would be deducted from my pay and made me sign a form swearing i never received it. This was under the old FOP regime. I signed up for direct deposit immediately after which I never wanted to do but felt was the only way of preventing a reoccurance. Checks are supposed to be haded out and signed for but has never been done in 012.

Hey dummy, when the offender is standing there with the proceeds that she herself took (with victim officer also on scene with a positive ID of proceeds) AND she admits to taking the phone, AND then hands the officers from 004 her phone through the door that is now cracked open, you can legally place her under arrest.

That's IF you're smart enough to know the law, quick enough to make a decision without someone holding your fucking hand and not a coward when it comes to put your hands on people.

Let me guess...YOU were one of the "coppers" from 004 on scene that couldn't handle business. You got punked-out by a cleaning lady that doesn't speak a lick of English. She'd no doubt make a better street-smart copper than you.

In 025 while working the front desk, a woman came up to me and said "I work here as a custodian and this is my first day on the job can you please page someone?". I was curious how can you not know the name of your boss or contact person? So I asked if she had any id. She said "no, I don't have any id on me". The Sgt. on duty told me to page the custodian's boss and if he verifies verbally that she works here then legally we can't do anything about it. She can work here. This is how fucked up this job has become. Let someone come into our police station without an id. The next day when she came to work, I again asked if she brought her id and she said "you got no probable cause to be harassing me. They already did a background check on me and I passed".

There is another CPD slam piece in today's Sun Times by none other tht Neil Steinberg. Well Neil, I'l take the bait.

I know as you wrote that article you would be here gleefully searching for comments.

You want to talk about race, call us racist??fine. But LET'S talk about race. Are you scared?

We as the police know who commits a huge majority of crimes in Chicago. Male blacks. I know that is an uncomfortable thing to say but it is true. And the crimes they commit are the ones that impact good citizens the most, Robberies, Burglaries and so on.

Let's take the media for example. Because it is a touchy subject with the P.C. crowd, whenever you folks are forced to confront the subject of crime and race, you go to where you know you will get a sound bite or quote that is safe, will blame the government, and not give you the truth. You go to the "Criminologists" from U of C., Cease Fire, or the "Victim's" family/friends. They will NEVER give you the truth. And it's not just the police who have the opinions they share.Anyone in public service eventually gets that way.

The safe route is to blame some government entity, and the police are the scapegoats.

If you went on a drug call and they answered the door with product in hand, handed it to you and began to close the door, would you go back and type up a warrant? You are a moron. FYI... We stand accused of much over the years but you'll NEVER be able to accuse us of advocating "doing nothing" especially when a P.O. is the victim of a crime.

"Cowboy Shit" notwithstanding, right?

You'd be content with telling a fellow P.O. "Sucks to be you, here's your Form 54 for your property & your VIN, the warrant officer works 9 to 6 if ya want one." when you laid eyes on the offender and actually took custody of the property in question from the offender?

No the Duff family would not tolerate these misfits, they actually were praised by Area 2 when they had the city contract and say what you want but the stations were nice and clean under Windy City Maintainance, a Duff Family enterprise, now they have this Aqular firm that is incompetent

I've never worked in a place where the criminal history or criminal activities of the custodial staff were not brought to light--after the people worked in our facilities for years. Hiding in plain sight. Think the janitor in Area 5 was wanted for child porn or something. Nothing new. Consider Daley's decision to give convicted felons 2nd and 3rd chances.

Who are you kidding? Daley put the Felons on the city payroll policy in place; to insure that Patrick, himself and the rest of the family couldn't be disqualified from being on the public tit.

That's nothing! They hired that convicted, rapist, pervert Allegretti that worked in 17 as a parking ticket supervisor. The CPD fired him, after he was convicted of rape. Then after firing him for rape, the city hires him back, as a supervisor who interacts with the public.

This whole city is fucked beyond belief.

Good job to the officer's who were smart enough to arrest her after she left her residence.

The scary thing here is that this Officer believes with all of his heart that he is right. You have to wonder how many offenders he has let go after they reach "home base" and he is no longer allowed to arrest them. Going along with his thinking, that means that no offender can be arrested in their vehicle either. Guess that explains what has to be a very low number of arrest from this PO.

Judging from some of the responses to our "little scenario" by some legal road scholars, we figure the destruction of the CPD we knew from childhood to our current near senior citizenship has plausibly been completed.

Why be angry?

why be outraged?

Why fight?

Why have the desire to kick the door off the hinges, hold the resolute bull-shitters hiding inside at gun point, stride in and snatch the covers off to reveal the funky crime of rotten muthafuckahs having their way with truth, decency and integrity on the pissy mattress of fuckery in a town called Chicago? Then dragging their decayed asses out into the sunlight so all the world can see them for what they are and call them by their REAL names?

Why agitate?

Why the desire to see the doers of fuckery swing for their many crimes against the public and the men & women of this Department?

Why bother passing on what the guys from the 30's & 40's passed on to the guys from the 50's & 60's
who broke us in?

Why nurse a keen hatred for the doers of fuckery (clout, media, politics, dumb, no integrity sticky-fingered muthafuckahs thinking THEY invented this thing called trying to be slick) who have had an active hand in setting the stage to where so called Policemen can post some of the eye watering responses we're seeing here today?

This shit is disheartening to say the least...

You know it is funny, but over the years I have heard this particular misconception of the law or Constitution many times from residents of the Ghetto.

"I don't like Gingrich, but he's right -- no federal funding for Sanctuary Cities. Co-operate or get cut off. That'd stop this nonsense dead in its tracks."

This is the only thing that will get me to vote for FigNewton...

But then, I'm over 50% American Indian...ya'll are Friggin Illegals to me.
