- A Chicago gang leader who prosecutors say oversaw a sophisticated and brutal organization with at least 10,000 “soldiers” in Illinois — even while he was in prison — that beat, shot and extorted money from rivals was sentenced Wednesday to 60 years in federal prison.
Fifty-one-year-old Augustin Zambrano did not speak during the hearing and displayed no emotion when U.S. District Judge Charles Norgle imposed the maximum sentence that, because federal guidelines require he serve at least 51 years, means he will most certainly die behind bars.
Calling Zambrano, an unimposing man with short, graying hair, “a leader of this barbarian organization,” Nagle said that in court filings Zambrano had shown no remorse and had not accepted any responsible for his role in the Chicago-based street gang.
A happy ending.

No, a happy ending would be his elimination from the face of the earth.
As it stands, we have to feed, clothe and house him for half a century. Oh - and spend more money to fight his expected appeals.
Even though this case was federal and started years before Mcstupid was here im sure he will try to take credit for it.
Since he's not going to be simply shot, see if they got an empty "pod" at AdMax in USP Florence, Colorado -- and put this motherf__er all the way down at the end by himself until the first parole hearing when he's 102 years old.

Give it about two months and you will see a lot more bodies dropping if this guy gets his way. The feds better work quick getting this guy under control and in custody because this fool wants to own and run all of the chicago streets. He wants all of chicago. Whenever I hear of a guy like this being sent up for a long period, I cannot help but imagine a scene like in "GoodFellas." But instead of cooking Italian every night, they are eating Chile Rellenos and drinking shots of tequila.
How many times do we need to see this media propaganda before you get it.
The first time around with much pomp and circumstance the corporate media wants/needs to send the message that there has to be respect for the laws, instilling fear into the public at large that the criminals will be punished.
This is done with bold headlines on the front pages and featured videos on the news.
THEN, the appeal is filed, the sentence is overturned or reduced to almost nothing.
Sometime the right people get the right campaign contribution I guess and all is forgotten.
That news is barely covered with a 3am story on a Sunday night in 5 point type so as to not draw attention to it all.

For one that goes down there's ten more that rise. So, no real happy ending the name of the game is the same the face just changed. Unless stricker times come from the judicial system then these type of criminals will roam free for a long time like always.
