The Future?
The Ann Arbor Police Department will now allow people to file police reports for minor crimes on the Internet through the department’s website, officials announced Monday.
According to a statement released by the department, people now can make police reports for harassing phone calls, theft, vandalism, identity theft, lost or damaged property or private property crashes by visiting www.a2gov.org/police.
The statement said these crimes were chosen because “these reports typically do not require a police interview or follow up investigation but they are often needed for insurance claims or other matters.”
We have almost no doubt this is on the way. It would impact crime stats, too, if they make it just complicated enough to frustrate the computer illiterate (elderly, poor, minority, etc.) And if they combine this with a 9-1-1 revamp of calls that police will no longer respond to? You're looking at a double digit "drop" in crime percentages.

so if you don't have a computer, we can supply a free lap tops like those free cell phones. oh and an internet provider for free. and electric for power, for free, as we cut down the size of our police force.
O.T.:
Hey, what happened to the crossing flags?
Have they been stolen out of their buckets, or have the funds for the program been mismanaged before the purchases were even made?
As for the future, how about putting out buckets of handcuffs so that offenders can walk up and arrest themselves
So I'm guessing no option to click on "Y'all need to get dis muthafucka outta here befo' I kill his dumb ass" in the drop-downs?
This oughta be comical.
"The statement said these crimes were chosen because “these reports typically do not require a police interview or follow up investigation but they are often needed for insurance claims or other matters.”
There seems to be a growing incomprehension that people report wrongdoing because it is wrong, and they want some acknowledgement on the part of society that something bad happened to them -- maybe even with the forlorn hope that their property will be found and returned, or their assailant arrested and punished.
Every place isn't "What's in it for me" town like this f__ing city seeems to be so much of the time.
Be kind.
We can do this here in Chicago also to a certain degree.
I found this information under clearpath.
Can I make a police report online?
You can make an online report for lost property or theft less than $500. Click on the Online Crime Reporting link in the left column of this website. Other police reports must be made by calling 311 from within Chicago, or (312) 746-6000 from outside Chicago. To make a traffic accident report or a missing persons report, you must personally visit a district police station and make such a report in person.
Oakland has it too
http://www2.oaklandnet.com/Government/o/OPD/s/scr/index.htm
You can bet it's coming.
We already have this for crim damage and theft jobs...
In my 24 plus year career with this department, I have never and I mean never seen it this fucked up. From our incompetent and inexperienced leaders, to low morale, faulty equipment, theivery and mismanagement of pension funds, hiring freeze, no districts bid openings for 6 months and counting, shuffling of crime numbers and statistical lies from the superintendant, broken judicial system here in Cook County and the violence towards the police. I am going to retire sooner that I had originally anticipated. I cant and wont take it anymore. Good luck boys and girls. Stay safe. Watch your back and your partners back. Family first. Fuck this department, the sneaky corrupt Mayor and this savage shithead filled city. I'll send you a post card from my modest 2 bedroom summer home I've been paying for all these years thats far away from this hell hole we call Chicago.
Chicago can add:
-I want my baby daddy/husband to leave report.
-My kid(s) bein' disrespectful report.
-My boyfriend/kid stole/took my car to the store w-out permission report.
-Everyone got a gun report.
-My kid wont go to school report.
-My kids a jag so the whole neighborhood came to my house to kick his/her ass report.
-My friend wont share his/her crack report.
-My favorite, "my boyfriend wants anal sex since he got outta prison, but I want him to stop" domestic call/report. This really was a call.
All I can say is thanks to them and all the extra attention they need from the Police, we ALL have job security. Police, Fire Depts, Hospital staff, Liquor stores, drug dealers (both legal and non) tax payers, Democrats, JJ Jr., Lawyers, Psychiatrists, Social workers, the Media, etc, all included.....
We all appreciate the calls. Keep dialing those free 911 phones for your friends to come. We will give you all the reports you want/need, the smile included is also free.
Under computer illiterate (elderly, poor, minority, etc), no problem!
It seems all the poor & stupid folks I encounter as a beat officer know how to work Facebook.
Just fashion the new system ala Facebook and the victims could pen their own police reports with a first hand account of the incident documented in their own parlance. It seems all the poor & stupid folks I encounter as a beat officer know how to work Facebook!
"And he dun said woo woo and he then jumped on me yankin' out my weave".
Just make sure the public can view these reports, install a "Like" button and allow comments and this this f-ing thing would be golden!
The Future S.C.C.? Not exactly try the past and present! I've been approving...scratch that, rejecting online reports since at least last summer! Its called coplogic, we already have it!
While walking down my alley I noticed some new cement was poured. As I looked a little harder I noticed a imprint in the cement that stated that Mayor Rahm Emanuel did the work. I inquired about this and was told that any poured cement or repaved street will have a imprint located in two areas that were redone. Emanuel is pushing the aldermen to use their funds for these projects so he can have thousands of these imprints all over the city. He makes me want to puke!
The future. A new asshole inspector came to 18 today. Checked uniforms and threatened to give people a day for not wearing a seatbelt. What a stroke. 39 years on the job and his last hurah is fucking the lowly, unappreciated, disgruntled, working cop out of some money. Just retire Prick. You're working for nothing. You're maxed out. Be happy you had it so well. Leave people the fuck alone. Cost someone a day and see how many movers and parkers are written.
And when the next circus train or Zoo has an escape what will they do?
Watch the animals on cameras and pass out water dish's to the people and put an add in the paper for police officer testing so the people can leave their houses after waiting five years for the list and another five to train these people how to do the impossible quickly and efficiently ?
I don't think they will wait!
The vicious cop killing and stealing two legged savage wild animals ARE out there NOW!
If the taxpayers leave, we leave, or at least I'll leave because all that will be left of Chicago will be piles of corpses, ape chit and neanderthals. Darwin was wrong the ascent of man cost money!
We can't make them be good, we can only make them wish they had been good during their incarceration and baby we better pay that tax first!
Great! Now I can look for my insurance rates to go up to compensate all the payouts from insurance fraud...
It's actually pretty funny when you think about it. Citizens will be filling out their own case reports online which will likely be much more thorough than the ones written by most of the coppers on my watch.
Never happen here. The entitlement bunch won't stand for it. They are too used to having everything done for them. Besides it would be racist.

You can already file some reports on line go to chicagopolice.org and check it out
If CPD incorporates this, O.W. Wilson's gravesite will explode.
Homicide? Just drop the body into a dumpster outside of the police station that is closed between 7pm and 7am. Then have someone go online and describe in their own words what happened. Imagine the savings. No paramedics. No swat teams. No detectives. No court. No jail time. Talk about saving tax dollars. Why not even go furthur. Get rid of the slugs in the city council and make Racoon Eyes der Leader for life. Impose a curfew from dusk till dawn on the entire city. Those who would be exempt are politicians, their families, connected contractors, and all wealthy entitled mutts.
SCC, it's already here. Somebody posted the link in another thread. You can do it in Chicago--as long as you answer a couple of questions...maybe someone has the link. But it's here.
Oh, poor baby. Did the big Inspector scare you when he told you to wear a seat belt? Come here. Mommy will hug you.
there was an escape from 008 lockup about 0045 hours. one p.o. took a restroom break and second p.o. was escorting arrestee into cell when arrestee over powered p.o. taking the master key to all exit doors for lockup the officer was then locked in a cell. p.o. returns and discovered partner locked in cell.
can't wait for the civilians to take over.
Many years ago when John Thomas, the former 1st Deputy, was a detective at A/4, he envisioned jokingly, of course, COP IN A BOX. Just like McDonalds, where citizens could pull in and speak to an unseen person whose voice came back to you like he/she was speaking through mashed potatoes.
It was at these locations where crimes could be reported and you could pick up an R.D Number at window #2.
Want fries with that?
Already here, player.
Wonder if they'll get the spelling of "woo, woo, woo" correct.
I think it's a great idea... However, many reports can be done by calling 3-1-1. The problem is many of us still get called out for unnecessary jobs any!
Straighten out 311 first, then the dept can advance to modern technology.
Back in the day, when 018 had dozens of street prostitutes, there was a "whore car" responsible for locking up the hookers every night and keeping them from stealing all the naive, drunken tourists' wallets.
Some of those girls were street whores at night but were college students during the day and were clean, bright and articulate. Often, they would ask to TYPE THEIR OWN arrest reports and court complaints in order to make certain they could make the last transport of the night to Women's Central Detention at 11th and State so they'd get a continuance or bonded out at Women's court. Back then, if they didn't get downtown before the court call, they had to sit in jail for 24 hours until court the next day, costing them customers on the street AND causing them to miss school.
Damn, I miss the old days!

What does being poor, elderly or a minority have to do with being computer illiterate.
Enjoy less than 9,000 CPD by 2015

You left out one thing. All the so called police on this job that don't dona fucking thing. You know the "I ain't doing shit anymore" people. I agree with you with the other problems on this job but the attitude I see in officers today also contributes to where we are at. As well as the me me me attitude. Too many people concerned with what others are doing or have, and if they don't have or can't do it they cry like a little baby.

People keep complaining about no openings for transfers between districts. Has anyone ever looked at NYPD for how they handle seniority bidding between precincts?
There isn't any.
Period, doesn't exist. You have too either kiss the ring or else step in shit.
NYPD Officers have little of the use of seniority that we have and now that we have an NYPD boss just guess how it is all going?
Sweet does this mean I can work from my home too? Wouldn't mind answering calls via the internet along with checking out porn and playing some Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. That is what a department should be.
We have had online case reporting for CDTP and misdemeanor theft for more than a year. Obviouslyit has not made an impact upon you or you job so dont worry about that.

6 more months for me and adios. I was going to stay longer, until 63, but now no way that will happen.
I want OUT ASAP. And I will get it this summer. Oh, and unless Goofball Quinn gives me a tax rebate, I will leave Illinois and take my 457b and pension with me. My house is already sold.
Fuck you Quinn, fuck you Madigan, fuck you Cullerton, fuck you Emanuel.

It's a true shame that we had to pay another company to do our online reporting IT. There are people on this job that are qualified but we give out millions to another company for this simple stuff. No wonder they are getting rid of ranks.
1:45am Fuck this Inspector! How about sticking it to him by, wearing the seat belt, going to your jobs on a timely basis, wearing the uniform properly, doing some actual work......No just keep being a dog ass and when you retire, tell your family what a wonderful cop you were!!!
We have 311 in Chicago. Ever try to file a report for a minor crime on 311? Sometimes it is good and sometimes you talk to a totally disinterested police officer who tries to either talk you out of it or tell you you can't file a report because youwaited too long ( one week). There is no sense in sending a police officer to take a minor report. It ties up manpower and lets face it, no one is going to investigte the minor stuff in the first place. Even 10s of thousands in credit card theft is not investigated by CPD.
When can the citizenry start pulling their own event #'s? Things are soooooo fubar'ed right now, I actually look forward to going to work each day, just to see those grim faces worn by those in supposed "Command". LMAO.

So wear you damn seatbelt! While I agree that inspectors can be a pain in the ass with petty things, they absoultely SHOULD go after people for not wearing seatbelts and vests. If you're too clueless to be mindful of your own safety, be thankful that someone else is. It may save your life someday.
remember this everytime we give good citizen a hard time about doing a report at The Desk!!!!
I find it ironic that nobody read the paper and saw that our morale was boosted by two tact officers being put in the Fugitive unit for their outstanding work. I say good for them, but Morale booster? Listen McJersey, just because you gave 2 coppers a dream spot, that will last oh who knows how long, and you took SOME of the dicks who worked the case out for drinks, DOES NOT BOOST MORALE, for the other 8000 cops on your budget. You are not one of us.
Sounds good to me. Perhaps now they can start screening out all the bogus nonsense or civil in nature calls too?
Who was the Inspector ?
How dare he check uniforms when our XO , District Station Supervisor and Sergeants don't care how we look .
Next thing you know , they'll expect us to show up on time , swipe in and out .
OT - Captains/XO's will be rotated every year from Units & Inspections to Districts .
Looks like the 23 sell outs will get their reward next year .
I foresee us also responding to less of these silly calls. This administration wants us on the street at all times. I'm not even sure if they care about arrest.
Sounds like a great idea, I can’t wait to report media reporters for deceptive practices or the mayor for harassing the citizens with a belligerent government bend on stealing every last dime from their pockets.
Bargaining Table: The Chicago Teachers Union said it would give Chicago Public Schools its formal demands for a new, four-year contract by Feb. 1.
So I'm guessing no option to click on "Y'all need to get dis muthafucka outta here befo' I kill his dumb ass" in the drop-downs?
LMAO!
12:15 nailed it. Don't just assume minorities are computer illiterate. Many,if not most, have those fucking "smart phones" attached to their ear all day. Yes, some are more literate than others. Bottom line is equal access, which means free computers and internet. Remember that one of Obama's goals on his first campaign was high speed internet access to all. We all know what that means. Great priorities. No wonder this city, state, and country are so fucked up.

they're target spots for pet owners to direct their pets to poop on.
Why stop at online reports? Have self arrest forms as well.
Name...(the one you choose to use today)
Sex... (the options for that will take up a whole page)
Offense..(one charge, "attempt" since no one is ever guilty and they never actually did anything)
Bond (coupons will now be accepted)
Sentence(lol...yeah right, this is Cook County)
Just pass concealed carry and give everyone a lap top. No need for the police.
it has been here for about 6 months already. all lost and under 500 reports can be done online and reviewed by ARS.
Don't worry about this happen here....ever. the city of chicago wouldn't be able to maintain or keep the system up and running nomore than a couple of months
No change in the ghetto districts.
They lost their subsidized phone with internet access so therefore can't do the lost phone report over their phone.
People can't even read instructions on what to do with a parker, much less a mover, and you want them to file an internet report?
Citizens will be filling out their own case reports online which will likely be much more thorough than the ones written by most of the coppers on my watch.
And for all those incidents now where no one is willing to spend the time to take a report, there would be an opportunity to create a record of those incidents.
R u kidding me? This should've been done years ago. Paperless, my ass. They need to work on what calls we actually need to respond too, and what cases we follow up on. The 11 year old who hits the other 11 year old on school property?? Just cause the school wants a report, and mom wants to prosecute. These cases are ridiculous. The whole call taker and report process needs to be revamped.
I want one of them H V numbers.
This coulld be exciting....
One day, at the end of a felony of say, a carjacking suspect, just wheel the vicitm past..."yeap that's him".... Ok Sage, positive ID....lets get a rope....theres a good tree..... yeeeefuckinhaaaa
OT. This sat 1/14. The funeral for longtime gang leader i mean reformed gang leader and community activist Jerome shorty freeman will be held at 67th & hermitage in englewood. Lets see how much courtesy tony gives to this piece of shit and his piece of shit family and gang followers
reporting minor crimes and traffic accidents on the internet makes sense , it gives beat officers time to patrol their beat instead of driving from call to call
next quit sending us on BS child won't go to school , kids playing baseball in the street ,kid won't eat breakfast , husband came home late etc
D.I.Y already exists to some degree.
The badly needed overhaul and BIG media campaign to go along with a reboot of 911 dispatch procedures as to what calls The Police will/will NOT respond to?
Incur the wrath of a monolithic & loyal democrat voting bloc?
Ain't happenin'... Not with the current administration. The catered to constituents would cannibalize the whole of Chicago elected officialdom at the notion of not having a compelled/mandated Police response to referee their foolishness.
Think of how OEMC is under "civilian" control anyway...
Congrats to the two officers from 25 who were rewarded by the Supe for their hard work in the death of Officer Lewis. Having been a supervisor there for a few years there were many great officers who were hard chargers and did a great job like KO & KG. It's a shame that many of these good officers will be in the trenches for that much longer with the lack of future promotions. I am sure this goes for most districts but having worked in 25 I was able to appreciate great police work by the officers in 25. Thank You guys and gals! I hope someday all of you will have a chance to move on and up in the department.
O.W. Wilson who ? The idoits running this place could not spell his name if you spotted them all the letters.
There is no way that the residents who live in the 003rd district will actually do something themselves when they could easily dial 911 on their free Obama cell phone and have the police do it for them. Remember Chicago is a city that caters to the underpriviledeged.
They stole my computer.... How am I going to make a freakin' report??????
Please name the jagoff inspectors on here! We must share this important information!
fyi
i am a detective
we already get reports that are generated in this way. chicago is cutting edge in crap like this

Was i seeing things or was that Ernie Brown's Lt. Karyn M. getting out of a city car this morning at 35th street. You mean to tell me that this COMP STAT Lt neeeds a city car with city gas? For what? The newly appointed XO's don't even have a city car and they might have to respond to a legit emergency within their districts from home. What is Karyn going to respond to? The Chiefs call from home?
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Oh how true. This is why people get upset. There are different rules for different people. There is no way this Lt. should have a take home car. Why does anyone have a take home car when they have no patrol duties and or DO NOT respond to emergency situations. This is just a flat out perk for a Lt that is a waste of money and a car that could be assigned to personnel who could utilize it for a police function and not as a peasonal vehicle because this Lt works for the superintendent. They are cutting costs and budgets everywhere else on this dept so why not with this car and numerous others that are assigned to NON EMERGENCY RESPONSE PERSONNEL. Why should the city pay for this LT to travel to and from work. Leave the car in the lot and if the Lt or anyone else in that office needs a vehicle for a police related function, they have one at their disposal.
This is a good thing. Why waste police resources on reports that will go nowhere. most of these kind of reports are about getting insurance reimbursement anyway.
not a cop.
People keep complaining about no openings for transfers between districts. Has anyone ever looked at NYPD for how they handle seniority bidding between precincts?
This isn t NY fuck stick. We have a contract!
Murder stats are up over 100%. McDrunky was seen doing the naked snow dance on Rush street last night. It's not going to help at the next Comstat meeting.
"Superintendent, please step to the podium and explain your failure to reduce homicides. What strategies have you used? How many times do I have to tell you: time of day, day of week and motive?"
OT: I have to say that the demise of the department is evident when you drive by the police academy, you see citizens letting their dogs pee and poop in the LAWN all around the academy. When did the academy grounds become a park? Hey citizens... would you like it if dogs pooped in front of your office? Come on now this is really disgusting. Can you not have any respect for the police or for a public building. IT IS NOT A DOG PARK!
Ever since the late 19th century, the Chicago City Council has tended to suffer from a rather poor reputation: ineffective, low ethical standards, an old boys club. Back then, men such as Alderman "Bathhouse" John Coughlin were known for using their offices to create wealth for themselves, while furnishing the Levee, a red light district on the Southside, with a wide variety of naughty entertainment.
Today, most of the aldermen are less colorful, but reputational issues remain. For example, since 1970, 31 aldermen have been convicted of crimes, while the city council has largely failed to serve as a legislative check on the leadership of Chicago mayors. With that in mind, it seems appropriate for Chicagoans to put forth a modest proposal for reforming our city government.
First, we should dramatically reduce the size of the city council. Currently, with 50 members, Chicago has one of the largest city councils in the United States. A more appropriate size would be 17 members, each representing approximately 159,000 constituents. This would make a Chicago alderman's representative duties similar to that of New York and Houston legislators and less than the 250,000 constituents that a Los Angeles municipal councilman represents.
This reform would have several benefits, including strengthening the city council's power relative to the mayor. With larger political bases, it is likely that some Chicago alderman would grow in stature and that the council as a whole would become a more effective check on the executive branch of the city. The shrinking of the city council would also lessen the chance of "rubber stamp" votes on important issues, such as the $1.2 billion parking meter deal -- later known as the parking meter fiasco -- in December 2008.
In addition, with a smaller city council, the position of alderman could be converted from part-time to full-time, and the salary of each representative could be more than doubled from its current $110,000 level. This structural change would draw more talented individuals into city government, reduce the temptation of corruption and actually lower the overall budget for the council.
Second, we should set term limits for every elected official in Chicago city government, including the mayor and the aldermen. This proposal is based on a view of human nature consistent with that espoused by the British politician and historian Lord Acton, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." A study of our long-serving mayors of Chicago also supports this idea: the majority of their accomplishments occurred during the first decade in office, while their fatal flaws tended to surface near the end of their mayoral reigns. Similarly, the historical record indicates that nothing good is accomplished by aldermen who have stay in office for decades. With that in mind, two terms of six years seems appropriate for the mayor, while alderman could be limited to three terms of four years. These new term limits would encourage our city representatives to bring vigor, ethics and innovative ideas to their offices, knowing that a return to the private sector was inevitable.
Finally, we should push the city council to stop paying legal fees for aldermen who are under criminal investigation. Although there is no formal policy on the matter, it has been the Finance Committee's custom since the early 1980s to pay the legal fees of aldermen accused of criminal acts. This inappropriate use of taxpayer money should stop now.
Chicagoans should have the opportunity to go to the polls and vote on these proposals -- a smaller, more incentivized city council; term limits for all politicians; and a requirement that aldermen under criminal investigation should pay their own legal fees -- in a binding referendum. Let the voters decide.
Illinois and Connecticut tied as the worst state for retirees.

Hey stupid, learn how to use the department computers. A list of all X/O's and inspectors is right in front of your face. But I guess you will be back on the blog bitching when you get written up for no seat belt, the Hawks stocking cap or your 49 minute lunch.

I'm no fan of inspectors or nor am I an inspector but he is a jagoff for doing his job enforcing the rules you are supposed to follow? At least the so called "jagoff" gave you a warning before he just wrote your ass. I guess you were brought up by never receiving punishment for wrong doing and agree every little league kid deserves a trophy no matter how much he or his team sucks. Do your job, wear your uniform properly, and look professional and there won't be a problem. And if you get written up enjoy your day off. Add it to the weekend(at least the time off won't be denied).

Are you fucking kidding me? Are they PPOs, for one I never leave my partner when escorting a prisoner into the back, I even find my partner when its time. Officers have been killed escorting prisoners to lock-up or on hospital runs. You never have less than one PO bring a guy to the back, At times, I've seen four POs escort guys back there. What a fucker, its bathroom time, and your partner could of been killed.

The Crook Co SAO is completely unable to prosecute drug crimes (among others), so they've created a half dozen "diversion courts" to divert cases from the stats books. Decent arrests that never result in prosecutions, because diverted cases never become criminal prosecutions.
"Drug problem? What drug problem?"
Big cases, big problems; little cases, little problems; no cases....
That's what electronic reporting of crime will do -- wipe out the stats.
I remember them talking about having citizens doing that here. I think they floated the idea in the news about a year back. Never heard about it again.
This isn t NY fuck stick. We have a contract!

What does being poor, elderly or a minority have to do with being computer illiterate.

I'm trying to figure that one out myself.
You forgot one important part of the internet reporting. The CHARGE to file your report "officially" and print a paper copy with the official number. Link, credit, and debit all acceptable. Surcharge for debit or credit cards for "processing" fees. Wait and see!!!!
Its all about revenue.....
We all appreciate the calls. Keep dialing those free 911 phones for your friends to come. We will give you all the reports you want/need, the smile included is also free.

you forgot the crackhead/prostitue (or name whatever maladjusted behavior) niece (or name any socially-challenged malcontent) stole my LINK card report.

Thank you for solving a mystery that has puzzled many veteran members. They have long wondered how JT rose to the high-ranking position of First Deputy Superintendent. Now we know. He was not thinking outside the box or inside the box. He was thinking about the box and it's possibilities. Now, years later, we are all working in the box, but a slightly different box than the one he envisioned. Thank you, and RIP JT.
Self report all you want, but ya can't stop the shooting and killin in Filmore and Englewood.
PS
Will there be a "drop down" for downtown "wildings" by the usuals?

"Back in the day, when 018 had dozens of street prostitutes, there was a "whore car" responsible for locking up the hookers every night and keeping them from stealing all the naive, drunken tourists' wallets.
Damn, I miss the old days!"
amen......did the same......worked the whore car in 018, straight midnights for a couple of years, no weekends off.....had a blast....the girls knew more about my family than I did (I saw them in court three days a week, more than I saw my family), but they were a tremendous source of information re: what was going on on the street (not much different than now, I would suppose)..

Couldn't agree with you more.
According to the Mayans the end is near and we don't have to worry about the future.
you see citizens letting their dogs pee and poop in the LAWN all around the academy.

Why do the people who work in 025 always post on this blog how good cops they are and how they deserve better/more. Ive learned from my time on this job that the people who need to be told they're special aren't. Good work but it's your job, please don't come on the blog looking for praises because you are barking up the wrong tree. Stay Safe.
O.W. Wilson who ? The idoits running this place could not spell his name if you spotted them all the letters.

Next time the inspector show's up at roll call and does some threatening about infractions step up and ask him if he writes up the the equipment in the station that doesn't work and that when you call to get it fixed no one comes out.

This is a very interesting article about the obvious disrecpency of race reporting. mostly from Britian, but a few stories about the states.

I guess in 6 months you won't still be getting your 1% raise huh?
Contract stays in effect until a new one is reached. I hope you are still in the academy because you don't know shit.

Yes, but think how much we would've paid had he been successful.
We got off cheap.
"They stole my computer.... How am I going to make a freakin' report??????"
Go to the library, but not on Mondays!
And now the insurance companies will disallow claims because a PO didn't view the damage etc??????? How long till that happens?
"People can't even read instructions on what to do with a parker, much less a mover, and you want them to file an internet report?"
No, we DON'T want them to complete a report.
No report = No crime = lower crime rate.
"And for all those incidents now where no one is willing to spend the time to take a report, there would be an opportunity to create a record of those incidents."
If you're going to do the report yourself anyway, why would you go through the drama of calling someone to do the report?
"Oh, poor baby. Did the big Inspector scare you when he told you to wear a seat belt? Come here. Mommy will hug you."
That's right! He's only some geek with a pen.
You're a police officer. You've faced people with guns and knives who've actually tried or have been successful in killing other humans.
He can't hurt you. Fuck him.
"Every place isn't "What's in it for me" town like this f__ing city seeems to be so much of the time."
This attitude starts at the top and goes down the chain.
It's pervasive throughout Chicago/Cook County.

Hey stupid, learn how to use the department computers. A list of all X/O's and inspectors is right in front of your face.
--
I said name the JAGOFF inspectors, Jagoff! Where on the department computer does it tell me which inspector is a jagoff and which is not a jagoff? Or are they ALL jagoffs? WTF man? Can't you READ?
A new asshole inspector came to 18 today. Checked uniforms and threatened to give people a day for not wearing a seatbelt.
Oh my GOD! Wear your uniform properly! You must be one of those "entitled" new guys. Get over it bitch.
An Inspector came into our district today, we sat down and had tea and biscuits with him. He was a delightful chap. Cheerio my fellow Bobbies.

Hey jag...they caught people responsible for the MURDER of a fellow officer, and that's not enough to earn a "good job" from you? Wow, you must be a fucking superstar! And if they were just "doing their job" like you, why the hell didn't YOU catch anybody? Good work like thi should ALWAYS be appreciated and recognized. But go ahead superstar...keep making those class X arrests. I'm sure that's the only kind YOU make, right? Unbelievable. And since you can't come down from your pedestal, I will say a big fat NICE JOB to the officers from 025 whose hard work led to the arrest and charging of police murderers. And, no, I don't even work in 025 myself.
As for the future, how about putting out buckets of handcuffs so that offenders can walk up and arrest themselves

Too funny! I almost spit my lunch out!
Inspectors are worried about our uniforms and appearence when they should be thanking us for putting our lives on the line on these "f" up streets that many dont care and cook county aint willing to prosecute!!! Hey how about this Mrs. Inspector why don't you do stops and bring in some bad guys, instead of putting your own under the bus!!!what a joke dont want to name names but initials are C. white!! REasons like this is why moral goes down and p.o.'s dont give you much more they just provide enough to get by there 20 yrs in and out!!!!
only JO's are the police that can't wear the proper hat , shave or clear from a job .
Inspectors never mess with the clean shaven working police , in proper uniform .

Believe it or not, yes they do, but like anyone else, they have no control over Rhammie not opening up the purse to fix the stuff. Took 90+ days to fix our sallyport control computer. They do write up unsafe conditions they see. lights out, cleaning crews shit stored in the hallways, etc...
