Another 2 Homicides

  • Two men were shot and a third man beaten in two separate incidents on West Side early Saturday morning, according to police.

In the Little Village neighborhood, a man, age 24, was shot and killed after being beaten during a possible robbery attempt, police said.

The man was found in the street on the 3000 block of West 23rd Street about 3:30 a.m., near an alley between Albany Avenue and Whipple Street.

  • Another man, age 20, was shot in the head and killed in the 200 block of North Lorel Avenue about 4:40 a.m., police said.

The victim was identified as Matthew Zavala, of the 2100 block of West Monroe Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Too much pressure in Harrison and Englewood mean the violence and property crime is going to pop up elsewhere - like it did last night.

Oddly enough, 7 & 11 are winners on the "Come Out" in Craps.

Conversely, there are no winners in CPD's version of this game.

Not when we have McWhiskey & 9.5 as "The House". The odds are not in our favor in this particular Numbers Game.

Cha-Ching, Cha-Ching...

Calling out Rahm and and Quinn on their "safety of the children" bullshit!

The State of Illinois recently went to the extremes of passing a new rear-seat seat-belt law for all passengers...all passengers except for people riding on the CTA AND School buses right!!

You see the school bus companies told Springfield that it would be just too costly to put seat belts in their school buses to "protect the safety of the children" and lord only knows why the CTA isn't made to comply.

So much for the safety of the children!

Doesn't matter if it saves just one live or hundreds of lives. The lobbyist paid the legislature with campaign contributions and they got their seat-belt law exemption in return. How else would you explain it?

Not a single word from Hizzhonor the mayor either.

He's too busy working up his speed trap camera revenue generation machine while putting out propaganda about protecting the children.

Once the children get on a bus though it's f---k the kids -- seat belts cost too much. It would hurt the bus companies profits right Rahm? It would hurt the CTA too right Rahm?

The reason I bring it up is that ten people were injured Saturday night riding on a CTA bus.

Did they have their seat belts on? Ha. Were there any kids injured? Don't know but there very well could be.

If a CTA accident happens during school travel times it could of been much much worse however Rahm and Quinn don't give a sh^t. I mean how would they fine the people on the bus for not wearing their seat-belts? It's about fines and generating city revenue it's not about safety for our kids.

Much easier to nail those middle class drivers with passengers in the back seat right?

I'm waiting for one of those CTA buses that are allowed to run on the expressway shoulder to crash dumping about 50 people through the windshield, maybe then they'd wake up.

Watch for the lawsuits.

It's our lives and livelihood but to the mayor and the Governor it's just the cost of doing business.

Safety of our children? You're full of s--t mayor. Os that disrespectful to write like that? Well I figure it maybe someone talks to you in your own language you might get it!

How about the big press announcement of all the Federal help and inter-agency cooperation ? Does this point to a Manpower shortage ? Or did J-Fled make a courtesy call and get all his Fed buddies to lend a hand to the under-staffed CPD. Gee I don't know sounds to me like you guys are a little short on manpower to actually do the job..........

The city has covertly deployed more and now recently even more manpower to the south and west side of Chicago. In the mean time districts in the north, northwest and southwest sides are turning into garbage. Property crime especially is increasing in the north, northwest and southwest sides of Chicago.

"Too much pressure in Harrison and Englewood mean the violence and property crime is going to pop up elsewhere"
I do not understand this, Both the Mayor and previous mayor and the last couple of Sups have said that manpower is NOT that important. So then the reasoning of sending in extra manpower to 007 & 011 is flawed and has nothing to do with the crime reduction. Why not just put in more cameras? If they claim later that the extra manpower worked and kept crime down in 007 & 011, then the logical answer to that is to HIRE MORE POLICE. Get the Department back up to manpower levels or higher!!!! So the REST of the city can also feel safe and enjoy the benefits of crime reduction, or they are saying to the citizens of Chicago, we know what the problem is, but refuse to fix it and make the citizens and their property safe.

I had the same conversation with an old friend who is now super educated. They make a big deal about how they stopped crime at a park. All kinds of caps awards. When I asked him why he thought it was such a big deal he said he reduced crime at the park. WOW That's what and education gets us.

I told him he was a goof and that pushing shit 1 block over isnt problem solving. We haven't talked since then... I was once proud. Now only ashamed.

The easiest way to put it is this...crime in Chicago is fluid! Flood one area with the police and the shitheads move to another area. Anyone up in 016 notice the rather fequent occurence of robberies along Irving in the last few weeks. Dope sales around Austin/Addison? Or the Stash house on the 5500block of newport? Wake up people, as McStash and McMayor tout the ghetto as being crime free "agg batts" and "homicides" are going up in areas where the police used to be.
Lets be honest though....who really cares about what happens in the nice neighborhoods, as long as the voting base of these Democratic asshats get what they want?
Mean while the President is still trying to take away more rights of the people by dictating what the Catholic Church has to provide for it's employees. It's simple, stay the fuck out of peoples lives. Enough is enough! The Feds should only be around to help protect the boarder(failed) and protect our allies (failed).
And one more thing...Mayor Rhaminator please do not try and force the rest of the state to abide by your endless pursuit to run the world. If you haven't noticed the rest of the state hates Chicago. We bring them down.
Ok, I'm done ranting for today! Thank you all...and Stay Safe....

Sorry guys...but Little Village is just as big a waste as 7 or 11.

The Up side is that in Little Village you at least have a 65% chance that the vic or perp is illegal.

And the Alderpunk has gang ties and the staff sell illegal ID"s out of the Ward back door.

How about just removing the district numbers 7 and 11 and make them both Dead Zones. Close down the stations and let them kill each other off. Nobody cares anyway. Put a fence around both of these wastelands and don't let anybody in or out. They pretty much do this shit in Detroit and it works just fine.

Here is how you fix this problem McSupe and Racoon Eyes (now write this down):

HIRE MORE POLICE.

BOOST MORALE AMONG THE RANK AND FILE POLICE.

More bodies, more motivated officers, and a streamlined arrest process to get people back on the street more quickly and efficiently. Suddenly you'll notice an actual crime reduction, rather than a stats-altering decrease.

But that would make too much sense now, wouldn't it? That would require money that couldn't go to pet projects. Funny thing is, you might actually see it will save money in the long term, because you'll be getting more out of your police. Right now you're spending a dollar to save a nickel.

"Mr. Madigan floated, for the first time, the idea of cutting pension benefits for current state workers. The speaker said lawmakers were working on bills to reduce the pensions..."

"In 2003, Mr. Madigan agreed to a plan by then-Gov. Rod Blagojevich to borrow $10 billion for state pension contributions. Then, in 2005 and 2006, Democrats voted to reduce the pension payments by billions of dollars to free up cash for other spending. Those decisions, coupled with investment losses and early-retirement packages, left the state with a mountain of debt and unmet pension obligations."

The bosses in this department along with the "golden spoon in his mouth" mayor, do not understand that shifting resources from what neighborhood to another DOES NOT ELIMINATE CRIME, BUT ONLY MOVES IT!

Hey Chicago taxpayers, do you want to see a slow, steady decline of your nice neighborhoods as well as continued uncertainty about your safety in the very same? Then keep voting for the usual machine sponsored politicians. The Daley machine is being supplanted by the Emmanuel one.

Isn't there one good, intelligent citizen, who is not a politician, willing to run for mayor? Oh, wait, good and intelligent people would not want to be a part of this corrupt, dysfunctional political system. I guess we are doomed.
