Crime Still Down

  • Two people are dead and seven others wounded in separate Friday night and Saturday morning shootings across the city, officials said.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m. Friday, a 24-year-old man was killed on the 400 block of North Lockwood in the South Austin neighborhood. He was identified as Cordarryl Mitchell, of the 200 block of South Laramie Avenue, a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office said.

Two dead, seven wounded Friday into Saturday. Tonight has been a warm one and next week looks positively toasty. Can't wait to see the totals.

I think that most folks in this town are so numbed by the bad economy all this crime stuff just is passing people by. Unless you are a victim we just see all this mayhem on tv and look away. People are more worried about staying in their homes, paying the bills, and having food to put on the table. That is how fucking bad it is out here. And please believe that is just how our government wants it.

Makes me wonder -- was this the one in the cornrows and "designer" jeans, working the checkout lane at a supermarket? Talkin' up the bagger girls and throwin' down on the customers, which loud mouth got him put outside in the dark and cold and wet hauling shopping carts around with a rope over his shoulder.

Didn't care for that, headed back for the old corner. Inevitable result, on top of the pile now in the real Meat Section down on Harrison.

What can you say...

So is every police blog having anything to do with the CPD or City of Chicago going to be head hunting because of this new General Order?

Corrections: Two people rendered living impaired and seven others victims of lead based physical injuries...
please make note of this, I'm not gonna take it much longer. Might have to have a negative domestic interface to relieve the tension if it continues.

No, but the powers that be have at least partially succeeded in their UNCONSTITUTIONAL mission: they got in your head enough to make you somewhat worried about it, which in turn is gonna make you think twice before visiting blogs, posting on blogs, etc, etc.

My suggestion? BE SMART ABOUT IT. Keep it above-board, and try to stay away from childish shit that's too demeaning.

*** THE CITY AND DEPARTMENT BRING ENOUGH EMBARASSMENT AND DISCREDIT TO THEMSELVES *** Why not exploit this idiocy and cite these FACTUAL & DOCUMENTED instances and put it out there for the whole world to see?

Examples: Constantly mention and link to McCarthy and his "Government Sponsored Racism" pandering speech to the idiots at St. Sabina. Periodically run the picture of the email where we're forbidden to use HOMICIDE & AGGRAVATED BATTERY.

These things exist and are FACTS that are just being repeated. The dummies at the helm have in the past, and will in the future, provide endless fodder that'll make the light of day for the public's viewing pleasure...we'll just keep reminding them.

If it exists and can be proven/verified as fact (no matter how "embarassing" or "discrediting" the city or department may find it), and it's not a fabrication, then fuck you, I'm posting it. I will however, promise not to post pictures of me spanking my girlfriend on Facebook while in full uniform.

And if/when you get hooked for doing something in cyberspace that the department deems inappropriate and discrediting to it's image, and they try to make you the first example of this new bullshit order...

HIRE A GOOD ATTORNEY AND REFERENCE LIEUTENANT JOHN ANDREWS' "A City at War with Itself: Chicago -- Fast Tracking to Anarchy (Understanding the Organizational Paralysis of the CPD and the Mission to Recovery)" as evidence of the multi-tiered disciplinary process that we all know exists in the CPD. It's been over a year-and-a-half since the good lieutenant dropped this masterpiece, and I haven't heard about any (official) repercussion(s) yet. God bless Lt. J.A. !!

Now that doesn't mean that CPD's Behind-The-Scenes-Plotting-And-Scheming-To-Ruin-A-Person's-Reputation, Employ And Career Advancement goons aren't working 'round the clock on retribution...but this remains to be seen.

Summary: the assholes that have risen to the top of this organization thanks to past and present regimes comprised of clout and nepotism have just about ruined this job completely. Barely salvagable is how most that have been around a while describe the CPD. Those "in charge" routinely put their combined ignorance and ineptitude on display on a very regular basis, so why not share this with the taxpayers whose very livlihoods depend on their decisions and policy making? The public needs to see where their tax dollars go when it comes to those who are in charge of orchestrating the first responders that protect their life and property.

Thanks for letting me vent SCC.

Evertone should be aware that the Department already has a liason from the "D" Unit to Social Networks. So if an officer is arrested, charged or murdered;the Dept. will have access to anyting he did on one of those Networks. Be careful, anything you put on Facebook or Twitter can be retrieved and is should you choose to seek employment in federal law enforcement.

SCC, you need to be careful. Victims are no longer dead. They are in less than ideal health. They are also no longer wounded by gunfire, they are in need of governmental wellness programs for failing to lead healthy lifestyles by remaining indoors out of the way of environmental heavy metals.

I just don't want you to get in trouble for using the wrong verbiage. Our Party Officials are very sensitive to the political ramifications of harsh words.

When you gonna get it straight SCC?

There were two people "HARMED" and seven others "HURT"!

Remember that we have to be careful of the words that we choose and the images that they conjure up.

You'll notice how those choices of words remove the image of an aggressor/attacker?

I don't know man..how you gonna get a gig over at one of the media rags like this?

The next thing ya know if you keep talking like that the citizens of this sanctuary city are going to start imagining things like we have roving flash mobs and gang bangers shootin' and killin'. That's just silly.

/sarcasm

Carry on my friend. There's "loud reports" in seven. Prolly someones TV again.

There are no tanks on Michigan Ave. Hahaha... look around and show me the tanks. I'm not scared and you shouldn't be either.

The evil doers tried to land at the beach and we push them to the back. We pounded them and then they flew...flew away like rats in a trap.

There's just too many 911 calls that's all.

We can't possibly respond to them all..and no...no, hiring more coppers isn't the answer it's these people calling 911 that's the problem.

When the people of the sanctuary city call in all these minor priority-three crimes it keeps the officers on the streets from responding to the shots fired priority-one calls.

That's why we are going to make the low priority-three calls our main priority because it may prevent the priority-one calls from happening.

If that new social media order really is all about going after the various police blogs, I'll happily post for any active p.o., since I've already made my successful escape from CPD.

There weren't even any ETs or crime lab available til after shift change for the shooting on Lockwood. Really???? We have to wait 4 to 5 hours for an ET. Here's an idea Rahm. Hire and promote more people. We also have to wait up to 5 hours now for youth dicks.
We can only survive doing our jobs so long on a skeleton crew.

And it isnt even summer yet. Ha

Wrigleyville: Rowdy crowd forces police to shutdown Clark Street?

Authorities shutdown part of a North Side street after multiple reports of fights and general chaos were reported in Chicago’s Wrigleyville, Lakeview neighborhood.

Sunday, around 2:26 a.m., police were notified of a street brawl at the intersection of North Clark Street and West Cornelia Avenue.

A 911 caller said ten people were fighting in the street, said police dispatch.

At 2:37 a.m., an officer at the scene said the people in the area were “out of control” and there were “cars and people, everywhere”.

Shortly thereafter, authorities blocked southbound traffic at North Clark and West Addison Streets.

At 2:43 a.m., police said the crowd was starting to “clear out”.

A 2:48 a.m. police dispatch report indicated an alleged battery victim was waiting for police assistance at 3505 North Clark Street.

However, as of 3:07 a.m., there was no indication an ambulance was called to the scene and there were no reports of any arrests.
