Reality Imitates Punchline

  • A celebration on the South Side ended with two people dead, including a rapper featured in a new music video shot in the neighborhood and posted on YouTube.

Witnesses say the party was under way when someone drove by and opened fire.

The shooting happened about 5 p.m. in the 5100-block of S. May in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

A nation mourns.

It was more like the offender(s) "50 strong gang " walked up from the alley through gangway and unloaded on the BK stones doing some gangsta rhymes. Rap video shootout or gang conflict ??? Readers know the answer to this one.

Rap music: A way that people with no musical talent become wealthy selling noise to people with no musical taste.

Maybe the shooter was a music critic: 17 empty cartridge cases.

Is that a good or bad review?? I go with bad, because it sounds like someone didn't want him to make any more videos.

"He was trying to be a rapper, he don't gang-bang," Sonya Stephanie said. "He's my big brother, I don't got no one else. Got nobody but my brother."
Yeah,,,,right. He just shoots rap videos. Used to.

Another "aspiring rapper?"

Damn...

Does anybody aspire to be anything other than strutting on a stage like a banty-rooster?

Any aspirations other than running with, or throwing/catching a ball?

*Crickets*

Is it any small wonder that a certain constituency would self cannibalize if not for their usefulness to their Democratic Party masters and boss-men (rev'runs, alderfools, community activists, etc) in that they have the ability to relentlessly replicate in order to keep the captive taxpayers outnumbered and in bondage to the criminal-political cabal of Chicago and Illinois?

This nation turned topsy-turvy...

Illinois IS A MODERN SLAVE STATE!

Think about it...

Or choose to ignore it.

Truth is a cold, hard, sharp, pointy and uncomfortable thing...

The last thing the criminal-political cabal wants is the captive taxpayers fighting for their freedom.

The criminal-political cabal fear the tables being turned and that they and their confederates will end up being rightfully marched to the hanging tree.

*I'm much too rich and important to dangle from the hanging tree for my crimes against the people of Illinois. We have laws against that and friends in higher places to protect us from you rabble*

That particular block is the epicenter of BPSN gang operations for that set in the 009th dist. Walk a block in any direction and the drug dealing is rampant!
This was no random shooting and the guys that hang on that block do nothing but sell dope and perpetrate shooting themselves, but in typical media fashion they act as if it was a church gathering rather than a party for a rapper with 5 star, the BPSN gang symbol, in his name.
Boy channel 7, you really did your homework on that one. Do you think if the public knew you were groveling on some dead gang bangers dick instead of a soldier fighting for his country that actually could have became a functioning member of this world, they might think different of you? Oh no that's right, this is big news for you parasites. Sickening!!
I guess to become a rapper these days, you simply have to find 1 gang member not high enough to post a video on you tube. What a joke!

The house band on Jimmy Fallon's show is a rap group that has been putting out rap albums since the early 90s. They get paid very handsomely, outside of rap, for live instrumentation and productions. Ghost Dog, Kill Bill, Any Given Sunday...just a few movies that had scores produced by rappers.
Imagine producing a movie score with no musical talent..yep, I see where you're coming from. Yep.

If I make a "rap" video and post it on You Tube does that make a an aspiring rap star? Easy as that. WTF!

How does ABC 7 equate posting some shitty video on YouTube as an "ascending rapper"? Lemme mumble some bullshit into dis here mic and then shoot a video on my Cricket phone of me lip synching this mumble at a bbq. Now iz a rising star, but still driving my Nascar "Intimidator Dale Earnhart #3" Monte Carlo.

I read the event on the night of the shooting. It stated 5 people shot, in which two were DOA. Also that the shooter even reloaded his gun.

I might catch some shit for this one..to the commenter who mentioned the roots, there's a huge difference between rap and hip hop. The roots are not a rap group. They are musicians and very talented ones at that. Their music isn't even in the same category as these hoodrat " rappers ". Anyway, just sayin.

This incident on 51st & May was the deal breaker for me. No more feeling idiotic pangs of nostalgia for an area and a way of life that once was 37 years ago. Nothing has changed at all. The savages have gone from terrorizing decent law abiding homeowners on their front porches to killing their own and themselves. When nothing human is left in this city, they'll just use rats and roaches for target practice. No, wait. Those are family pets, therefore they are exempt from the savage carnage. Unless one of them gets pissed off and decides to throw a pitbull off his balcony. And that would be because they cut off acess to his mental health center.
