Boston
The latest count tonight is 3 dead and 144 injured. The FBI has taken the investigatory lead, stated that 5 other devices were "rendered inert" and that there is a suspect in custody. All of this is subject to change and revision as the situation on the ground is ever changing and certain legal niceties must be observed.
What didn't change is the rush to blame perpetrated by the left-wing mainstream media, out in full force while police officers, firefighters, race officials, doctors and nurses tried to save lives, preserve evidence and clean up a grisly scene. Guess who they blamed?

- MSNBC’s Chris Matthews wasted no time in questioning whether today’s horrific bombing of the Boston Marathon was a politically-motivated attack. Matthews made his controversial comments when he assumed that a purported explosion at the JFK Library was associated with the bombings.
On “Hardball” tonight, the host openly questioned whether at least a portion of the horror was an intentional attack against the Democratic Party. Matthews made his controversial comments when he assumed that a purported explosion at the JFK Library was associated with the bombings.
- Esquire Magazine - Several people were injured and two have been reported dead. There are reports of people missing limbs. Obviously, nobody knows anything yet, but I would caution folks jumping to conclusions about foreign terrorism to remember that this is the official Patriots Day holiday in Massachusetts, celebrating the Battles at Lexington and Concord, and that the actual date (April 19) was of some significance to, among other people, Tim McVeigh, because he fancied himself a waterer of the tree of liberty and the like.
- The New York Times - Never let a tragedy go to waste. New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof on Monday quickly used the explosions in Boston for political gain, linking the Republican Party to the horrific act. At 4:10pm, Kristof tweeted, "explosion is a reminder that ATF needs a director. Shame on Senate Republicans for blocking apptment." [UPDATE: Kristof has "taken back" the comment and deleted the tweet. See below for screen shot of the tweet.]
- CNN - Less than two hours after the horrific bombing at the Boston Marathon, CNN national security analyst Peter Bergen was already speculating that "right-wing extremists" could be behind the attack. He told CNN anchor Jake Tapper:
"I'm reminded of Oklahoma City, which was a bombing, which was initially treated as a gas explosion. First reports are often erroneous."
Then Bergen went on to offer up this "first" report: - "Once the device -- if it is a device -- is found; what kind of explosives were used. So for instance, if it was hydrogen peroxide, this is a signature of al Qaeda. If it was more conventional explosives, which are much harder to get hold of now -- that might be some other kind of right-wing extremist. … We've also seen, for instance, right-wing groups trying to attack the Martin Luther King parade in Oregon in 2010."
And not to put too fine a point on it, guess who didn't use the word "terrorist" in his address to the nation last night?
- On Monday afternoon at 6:10 PM ET, President Obama took to the podium to explain the current status of the White House’s efforts on the Boston bombings. “The American people will say a prayer for Boston tonight, and Michelle and I send our deepest thoughts and prayers to the victims,” Obama said. He said that the government did not yet have the answers on the perpetrators. He did not label the bombings a terrorist attack or incident. He also added that “on days like this there are no Republicans or Democrats.”
And evidently, no terrorists, foreign or domestic, eh? The White House (not the president) has since been forced to put out a statement that the bombings will be treated as an "act of terror." How difficult was that?
Remember, the media wants this to be a conservative malcontent who set off these bombs. And their "reporting" amounts to nothing more than propaganda, preparing the battlefield to fit their narrative. You won't see any retractions should this turn out to be the Saudi national currently in custody or some left wing zealot intent on "occupying" something.
And speaking of Saudi nationals, that DHS decision by the Obama administration to ease visas to that hotbed of liberty and free expression is coming under scrutiny all of the sudden:

And speaking of Saudi nationals, that DHS decision by the Obama administration to ease visas to that hotbed of liberty and free expression is coming under scrutiny all of the sudden:
- A Department of Homeland Security program intended to give "trusted traveler" status to low-risk airline passengers soon will be extended to Saudi travelers, opening the program to criticism for accommodating the country that produced 15 of the 19 hijackers behind the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Sources voiced concern about the decision to the Investigative Project on Terrorism, which issued a report Wednesday on the under-the-radar announcement -- which was first made by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano after meeting in January with her Saudi counterpart. According to the IPT, this would be the first time the Saudi government has been given such a direct role in fast-tracking people for entry into the United States.
[...] Any Saudi travelers cleared through the program will be able to bypass the normal customs line after providing passports and fingerprints. The status lasts for five years.
That article appeared on 20 March 2013. We'll bet that is the last you hear of it in the lame-stream media unless this Saudi national is charged and Congressional hearings come to pass.

The first thing one has to do during these type of events is not publicly speculate and wait to see what happens.
The first news and judgments are almost always very wrong.
It wouldn't surprise me if this was foreign or domestic.
If domestic it could be some left wing eco terrorist trying to make some fucked up point or some right wing terrorist trying to make an equally stupid point.
There are conservatives out there already calling this as a "false flag" operation. Others have tweeted about killing all members of various religious groups.
There's a percentage or the punditry that are assholes and more than enough assholes on the right and the left to go around. Throw in the religious assholes and that's a whole lot of asshole to go around.
It could also be some lone nutjob like the unabomber who can't be classifed as right or left. Just nutz.
Fuck all of those lame-steam liberal media pricks. I'm so sick and tired of them pointing the finger of those of us who don't agree with their point of view.
My thoughts and prayers are with those in Boston, especially those who have lost loved ones, the injured and those that had to witness this awful tragedy. Many thanks to the first responders and those who put themselves in harms way to render aid. They are all heroes in my book.
Un believable. Trusted traveler. When will we grow a pair.
It's not about the safety of our citizens. It's all about the money. A lot of oil money in Saudi-land -- so fast track them in..and if the illegal immigrants are south of the border the corporations can always use more slave labor.
An estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in this country and counting. Who they are or why they are here who the eff knows however the political apparatus can use this as a tool to further their power grab.
Bloods vs Crypts? Democrats vs Republicans?
I was flipping channels earlier and heard Chris Matthews say that when these type of things happen it's usually the right wing doing it. The media has no idea who did this and speculates everything. I turned the channel immediately. Sickening.
What if Conservative malcontent set off those bombs?
Well you can rule out the Kenyans. .. They were halfway back to Africa when the bombings occured
there are no vultures like progressive vultures.
What an embarassing f'n joke we have as the leader of the free world. This a-hole dedicated 3 minutes to mumble through some empty comments and nervously avoid using the T word. Terrorism. Don't want to make yourself look bad.
Don't worry B O, you still have a great jump shot. Oh forgot you were 1-23 in the yard. But your great bracket....oh never mind you suck at everything.
I turned to PMSNBC to see how it would slant the news. I was disgusted by what I saw, but expected it.
Brian Williams called on Tom Brokow, and it was all about the Oklahoma City bombing. They even had the audacity to remark "how much more horrific" OKC was due to the number of dead. My guess to cover themselves when Boston turns out to be not home grown.
It was pathetic.
I thought immediately this may have been an attack by the Obummer camp. This way they could take away more of our constitutional rights under the guise of National Security. Maybe they should ban all bombs or register them. The libtards are already trying to place blame against non dummycrates.
Fox News Contributor Erik Rush blames Boston Marathon Bombings on Muslims, calls for death.
Hours after attacks, Rush crudely tweeted: “Everybody do the National Security Ankle Grab! Let’s bring more Saudis in without screening them! C’mon!”
When one of Rush’s follower’s responded and asked if he was already blaming all Muslims, Rush viciously replied: “Yes, they’re evil. Let’s kill them all.”
Hmmmm, I wonder how many cops are Muslims? Hell, I know a few here in Chicago. They're damn good cops, but then again, they are Muslims!
Just trying to be Fair and Balanced.
Thoughts and prayers for the victims and our brother and sister First Responders. My money's on the "religion of peace". Surprised that chris matthews was on tv today. Last I saw him was he was going down the drain after I wiped my ass and flushed this morning.
My heart aches for all the people who were injured and killed and for those who had to witness this horrific tragedy. I am so lost for words. God bless the first responders and all who are helping the injured. Give them strength to get through this cowardly act, committed by some worthless, pathetic, monster.
President Obama's political benefactors have some experience in bombings / bomb-making
Why doesn't the Media interview Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn? You know, the Hyde Park couple who held Obama's political "coming out" party
Bombers like them could provide some good insight
Obama's good friend William Ayers once said, "I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough"
Maybe he decided to "do more". Investigate him.
This country is so full of democratic assholes you need a flashlight to see through their bullshit. Matthews is an insufferable moronic insipid boob whose brain is awash in the agony of being a progressive dem.AKA ASSHOLE!! The rest are just pieces of shit stuck to the bottom of society.Wake up America, the weak minded are trying to run the Universe. We cannot be led by cum spots on the pants of humanity.
America is reeling because we have no leadership. That poor excuse for a President is know to be a weak leader. Actually......no leader.
One thing is for sure, if they can use this crisis to further gun control the politicians and media won't waste the opportunity.
As long as we have a Muslim or Muslim leaning so called president we will contiue to let people from terrorist states in. In fact Homeland Security's he nitwit Napolitano wants to give Saudi's preferred access just like Great Britain or Canada. Apparently under the order of the American destroyer Obozo. Clearly they dont care that Saudi's have done the majority of attacks here. Muslim terrorists welcome under this administration.
Only obammy the commie & his "press corps" could come up with crap like this.
Never waste a terrible crisis that could further your socialist agenda, right buckwheat !!!
Since innocent Americans have been killed or maimed and with Obama at the helm, I'm guessing Bill Ayers has an erection.
Look for days off to be cancelled during events in Chicago.
Well Obama can bring his good buddy Bill Ayers an expert on political bombings for advice.
It's too bad Richard Jewell passed away a few years back, not only as a reminder to what happens when there's speculation and bad reporting, but also as a temporary stand in for right-wing, tea party, anti-gov't, anti-tax terrorism until they can find someone else's life to ruin.

Then that makes ALL conservatives guilty and we have to disarm everyone.
It's for the children.
Why isn't there any mention of all the liberal malcontents?

And we're sure you noted how everyone on the Right immediately condemned his generalization?
Did you see anyone on the left condemning Matthews or CNN or Esquire or any other the quotes posted? We didn't, because they actually believe (and fervently hope) for a domestic bomber connected by the thinnest strings, to the Right.
Sometimes you go to war, sometimes war comes to you.

Ultra Communist and Obama senior adviser, David Axelrod, ran interference for Obama...
Axelrod: Obama Thinks Boston Bombings Could Be Related to 'Tax Day'
In explaining why President Obama didn't call the Boston bombings a "terrorist attack," former adviser David Axelrod said, "I'm sure what was going through the president's mind is -- we really don't know who did this -- it was tax day"
http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/axelrod-obama-thinks-boston-bombings-could-be-related-tax-day_717924.html
Ok I'm going out on a limb here.
I am a member of a Chicago area police bomb squad. Take that for what it is, but make sure all of you keep your head on a swivel and do not take chances when it comes to "unattended bags" or "suspicious" items, etc.
I always say, if there is a doubt then there is NO doubt. Take a step back and reasses the situation. That bomb can not be targeted at one person, it doesn't see black, white, left or right, conservative or liberal.
We all think we know, at this point, which ideology carried out this cowardly attack and it may be true. Remember that if the truth does not support the liberal secular progressive ideological agenda, they'll start spinning until the reader or watcher gets dizzy and stops reading, speaking or writing. Debate based on facts is not in the cards; they'd lose.
We're in a world now that can not and should not suffer fools in "leadership" roles. Tough decisions need to be made regardless of political fallout.
Regretfully, we no longer have a representative republic, we have a totalitarian democracy, where the useful idiots receiving free stuff have now outnumbered the "workers" and it is going to take a miracle to reverse.
This is the time to be slow to anger but a perfect time for us as a nation to demand more from our "leaders". They should be working FOR us all, not just one party or race, creed or religion. Stop hiding behind your color or religion, become an American!!!
If you need help, start reading John Locke, Charles De Montesquieu, the Federalist papers, Mark Levin, etc to find out why this country was founded and how people's so different were able to come together at a time dominated by the British Empire. In that instance, David slew Goliath and began a country for all people yearning for freedom. Has it been tarnished? yes, but the USA is still the best this world has to offer.
The Left-Wingers want it to be the Right-Wingers, and the Right-Wingers want it to be the Left-Wingers.
Who gives a fuck, just find the motherfucker(s) and beat them to death.
I'm told Columbia University is interested in finding the offender/s so they can offer him/her/them a faculty position.
The press sucks ASS!
It's unfortunate as I have heard these types of comments coming from both sides.
Silly. Let's not be assholes in the face of tragedy.
If it is terrorists, then they should all be burned at the stake.
If it is right winged extremists, then they should all be burned at the stake.
People can opine all they want about who did this. I see no reason to be offended and I certainly see no reason to prepare a defense for anyone who would bomb innocent people.
Ban Running!_Rahm
I will admit to my bias, as anything that man says irritates me, but was anyone else bothered that some of his first words were "let's not jump to conclusions"?
Be prepared for more attacks such as this one since Obama is opening the gates to our country allowing a flood of criminals...
In addition, the poor attitude that we don't need police officers since they're not "revenue" generators. Chicago already uses Compstat because we don't have the proper amount of officers compared against our population & crime.
My heart goes out to Boston and I could only hope our city will be prepared so that our responders here do not become a casualty due to lack of planning, staffing, etc
Obama is trying to figure out how to blame this on Bush.
God bless the families of the killed and wounded.
They must feel the need to deflect the fact that all of the last shooters on U.S. soil were democrats and left wing liberals. Facts. Liberals hate them.
To be on the safe side Mc Rham has ordered officers working inside to begin patrolling the streets.
now watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.
I'm with you on the McVeigh bit. It was also tax day which those particular "Descendants of Minute Men" types abhor. Foreign groups are waiting to make a much bigger boom I'm sure.
GOD bless Bostons cops and fire fighters during this terrible time. They're my favorite coppers after CPD's Finest.
I like the comments from ABC's analyst. In discussing all these bad things that happen in April, he stated it could have something to do with Hitler's birthday. Well the 15th is not his birthday, but I think it's the 20th. Anything is possible but blaming this one on Hitler, come on.

Well, no SCC we didn't see anyone condemn Chris Mathews because (apparently) no one knew he said it. Hell, I think the only people watching him are right-wingers looking to get their pulse going without actually leaving their chair. Just remember: it ain't exercise if you just sit their and don't move (even if your pulse is racing).
This is an excerpt from a Boston blogger's post about being there yesterday. Thank you, Carrie Jones.
"Then the second explosion happened. And I hung up. And I looked at the cops. And the cops both lifted up their portable radios to their ears. That was not a good sign.
Then they began to run towards the finish line along a parallel road. That was a worse sign, especially since one of the cops looked like he never ran. Ever. I followed them. It smelled of smoke. It smelled of fear and confusion. Cops and medics and volunteers swarmed the area. Blood pooled on clothing and the ground. Debris was everywhere. People were crying and hysterical.
The police turned me around. So, I turned around. I regret that now. I don't know how I could have helped. I am not a trained emergency medical technician. I regret that, too.
There were cops and medics everywhere. Their shiny, reflective yellow vests were like pieces of good and brave in a smoky land of pain. I wanted to tell each of them how heroic they were. There was no time for that. They were busy saving people."
Sounds like some of those hippie type left wing radicals that tried to blow up a bomb here during Nato
Commie David Axelrod says it's probably the rich reacting to tax day. What a Scumbag
We need to ban large capacity back packs and create a registry of back pack owners

thank you, comrade, for your thoughtful assurances.
my camel also thanks you.
Obama using this as a tool. Now a visit for the five people that died there.
In Illinois we have five people shot almost every weekend. Hundreds of people injured by terrorist gun fire EVERY MONTH!
Yes, granted, the majority are gang bangers but only one out of every..1,000. 10,000 get a visit and recongnition from Washington or even the Chicago politicians -- and only then because they fit some "central casting" victim script for a Hollywood movie.
We can use this as a political tool...OMG think of the CHILDREN!
Get Ms Obama to do yet another victims lunch for her husbands corporate campaign donors. Invite Rahm and the other party Lt's faithfulls so they can cash in on the tradegy and not let it go to waste.
One girl, gets raised to the status of martyr out of how many people shot in Chicago over Obama's term?
It's sickening to watch these phonies come out with there alligator tears and carefully crafted emontional tear jerking scripts used to run personal adgendas and enrich themselves in the process.
How can they even pretend to care as the number of Federal gun charges in Chicago rank 90th out of 90 fed districts? Who you jackin? And the numbers are getting worse not better.
No, we sit here and listen to these diversions about needing stricter gun regulations as an excues.
If it is terrorists, then they should all be burned at the stake.
If it is right winged extremists, then they should all be burned at the stake.
People can opine all they want about who did this. I see no reason to be offended and I certainly see no reason to prepare a defense for anyone who would bomb innocent people.

tell it to the obamination.
or were you assuming that the phrase 'if it is terrorists' included leftists, progressives, liberals, muslims, jihadists, left wing extremists, communists, socialists, 99 percenters, pro-abortionists, black racists, illegal immigrants, drug cartels, etc.?
or did you only specify 'if it is right wing extremists' because your not biased?
The Left-Wingers want it to be the Right-Wingers, and the Right-Wingers want it to be the Left-Wingers.
Who gives a fuck, just find the motherfucker(s) and beat them to death.
4/16/2013 09:51:00 AM
not exactly, chumley.
the right wing just wants to know who.
the left wing wants, desperately, for it to be right wingers.
furthermore, if it's not right wingers, the left wingers will not beat anyone to death.
and if it is right wingers, the only thing the left wingers will be beating is their lips, while leaving the wet work to anyone, other than themselves.

Lest we forget, it can happen anytime, anywhere. My heart goes out to the injured and their families. I am so proud of the response by the first responders and the brave citizens that stepped up and helped the injured. True Americans, True Heros, That is what makes this country great.
