Cop Injured
- A woman was lodged under a police car in the Marquette Park neighborhood after the motorcycle she was on crashed into the car early Sunday morning.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 40-year-old man, was thrown over the top of the bike, police said. He suffered broken bones in the crash.
The 22-year-old woman, a passenger on the motorcycle, ended up pinned beneath the police car and suffered broken bones and other internal injuries. The fire department was called to lift up the car to pull her out.
The squad car was just three days from retirement, but may be pressed back into service shortly. Copper is going to be okay.

I saw that bike on the news. It was in two pieces. Amazing no one was killed. Get well soon, office.

Firemen lifting cars? Oh my! That mental image is giving me the vapors.
Now, kees me you fool!!!!
Send the squad to VRI...
Push it,
Pull it,
Tow it to VRI !!!!
The only ones I care about are the officers involved. Glad to hear no serious injuries to them.
Get well soon but don't tell anyone.
