Police Memorial in DC
Always a good time, and an annual tradition (interrupted by NATO last year):
- My name is Sharon Colby and I am a Detective out of Area 1 (sorry, Area Central, now).
I have organized a social gathering for law enforcement members who are attending the National Memorial in Washington, DC. We have done this the last several years, but of course, missed last year due to the NATO prom.
Can you put the information regarding the party on your site? It has been in the Daily Bulletin several times, but the more people that know about it the better. The bash will be held at Clyde's of Gallery Place, 707 7th Street NW, Washington, on Tuesday, May 14th from 1900 to 2200 hours. The cost is $60.00 which includes drinks and appetizers. I would like tickets purchased in advance, since I need to give the restaurant a count. Those who are interested can call me at 747-8434, pax 1113.

Interupted by NATO last year, limited time off this year
Party time--Excellent.
I guess comp time isn't an issue for detectives. Must be nice. Life in a district is much different.
$60 bucks for snacks and a beer?
Important MSG, found pants said...
Hey SSC, I need ur help, I just worked VRI for the 3rd of May 1800 start and I found a pair of wool pants size 38 with a pair of white gloves in the rear pocket. The pants were either bought/tailored at Advance uniform. They were on a blue hanger inside an inventory bag. I'm sure some PO was getting ready for St. Jude's this Sunday. Please post this in hopes we can find the owner in time, oh they were found in vehicle number 7172 or 7271 I forgot the car number already.
My name is Merola #7221 and I work 3rd watch in 004. I will be working today 04MAY12 starting at 1530. Thx

Sharon nice thought but we are not Sgt lor Coop and her girlfriends along with PO Ryb who get time off and free air and hotel. We have to work unlike those fools who sit behind a desk all day and make there own hours. Alverado used to take care of them. We have to work sorry. And Cmdr Alv was afraid of his own shadow. Useless HDO fool.

Sixty bucks says you've never spent a dime to go to DC to 'Honor Our Fallen' otherwise you would not have posted that factually ignorant remark.
She is doing a good thing to help Officers who want to honor our fallen so no negative commits needed!
May 13 is candlelight vigil in DC. May 13 is also night of Mike Madigan's big Springfield fundraiser at a yacht club on lake in Springfield. Guess who is a sponsor of the Madigan event? If you said FOP, meaning YOU and ME, you would be right. . . . looks like WE paid $3,000 for a sponsorship and 20 tickets.
My invite must have been lost in the mail. Anybody else get one? I'd like to meet Madigan. I'd like to ask him about the pension bill he pushed through Springfield last week.
Don't embarrass yourself with more lies and denial Mikey. We're on to you. Here's the Bd of Elections report:

Thank you so much SCC for posting the information regarding the party at Clyde's. I really appreciate it. Now, to the cheap dickweed who made the comment "$60 for beer and snacks", let me explain what the cost actually covers. I will try my best to use small words so even you can understand. The $60 includes a 3 hour open bar. It also covers a pasta station, salad station, buffalo wings and sandwich sliders. Clyde's is a beautiful, popular restaurant in downtown DC. Since they don't offer moonshine at the bar and require the patrons to wear shoes and a shirt, we probably won't see you there anyway. Thanks to those who have made positive comments. This gathering is a lot of work and I hope all of you can join us. If you can't make it this year, maybe next! The Commander's in the districts and HQ, who do not allow their people time off to attend, just don't get it. Shame on them.
Sharon Colby
