Wow, I couldn't hear but were the officers hit? I hope the police are ok.
Amazing that windshield held up. News states the driver was out of the car as offender was shooting. God just didn't choose to take these two officers this particular day.
so...look at the next video in the series..drug deal..The two shitheads die..The police can never catch up to them before they crash and die...Yet..It is under review if the police should have been chasing them in the first place...Fuck this stupid fucking country full of excuse making idiots......

Female Officer lost part of her left hand and a gunshot wound to her left thigh, male Officer sustained injury to his left knee from flying fragments.
Offender had a semi-auto AK-47, with a 40 round magazine. Several more fully loaded magazines were found in the car.
If the driver and or other offenders get out with guns and your in your driver seat. Reverse out! Find a solid object you can focus on out the front wind shield while getting as low as you can get in the seat and hit the get while in reverse. Your going to hit something but at least your out of the kill zone of a fire fight you would never have one. Watch how quickly the white car traveling in the opposite direction reverses out of the kill zone and they were not getting shot at.
Be safe out there brothers its going to be a long hot very blood summer with allot of mondays going down. You owe it to your family to come home. You owe nothing to the liberal media and polticians.

1) get out of the car as fast as possible and 2) trust your instincts-no second guessing.3) if they crack their door first your gun comes out. also if they are not pulling over properly expect a fight or flight.

12:39 is 100% correct, back in the early 80's I used to go to the BOTY for Lugan girls, I was EB at a stop sign by Davis Park a car stopped SB and the passenger pulled a gun and pointed at us, threw my car in reverse and floored it, he started shooting at us and missed, I am not a cop but if I was at that time I would have rammed the car and started firing at it at the same time

Did you notice that he was still able to fire even though he was on the ground. I agree with the other posts. Shoot until the target is neutralized. Be careful out there. I hope the officers are ok. God Bless Them.
Good shooting byP/O's,Shotguns/rifles should be in front seats, when it feels hinky get them ready.P/O's should have modified A/R's/shot guns w/shorter barrels for easy access. Funny how that guy didn't shoot at any of the cars passing by; it was just the police car. What a coincidence. Gee Pam maybe your investigative skills can report on that. This is why cops get a pension Pam. None of the passersby got shot at; none of the passersby were probably cops; none of the passersby probably had pensions either. Get it Pam? This is why cops get pensions. Cops pensions over 20 years is probably less than what you earn as a reporter in a year. Funny how FOP never questions your salary.
This shows that even with an "assault rifle", the spray-and-pray technique doesn't deliver aimed fire. You have to shoulder the weapon and use the sights.

Those officers were cooler than the other side of the pillow. They communicated loudly and clearly to each other and the dispatcher,so that the other knew what was going on. That video should be used as a training aid in communications between officers. Excellent job!!!!

a blog troll thinks its easy to sit here but I would like to think if I were the guy in the oncoming white car I would react fast enough and just run the asshole over when he was out of his car or for sure, out in the street. please do not take this as me "monday morning quarterbacking" because im not... this was one of the scariest videos that I have EVER seen. Talk about out gunned and getting put down by overwhelming fire. Boys and girls, Please Please Please get out of the car as soon as it stops. Dont sit in the car, dont look at the computer, dont get on the radio. Jump out and pause for a second to watch the driver. I hate seeing coppers stop a car and sit in the car looking at the plate into for 30 seconds. If you need to, get out of the car and run the plate over the air... you can even wait for the plate just as long as your standing out of the car and ready in case something happens. I am so glad both these officers are ok and they are definatly survivors and heros. Very brave to hold composure during a firefight like that. remember, Get out of the car as soon as you can.. and if you listen to the idiots who say, NO stay in the car kid in case he hits the gas to try and get away... You can do one of two things, possibly loose the car and bad guy or you can sit in the car and get ambushed or killed. I would rather get out and if he pulls off jump back in the car and get on that radio and let your friends help you out. stay safe everyone.

That wouldn't happen in Chicago because we have effective gun control laws here. And citizens aren't allowed to carry concealed weapons. So there. I feel safer already.
Near ambush. Press the fight to the attacker. Use the skinny pedal on the right to run the attacker down. What would you rather hurl at an offender, a small projectile approximately .356 in diameter or a large projectile approximately 7 feet wide? I'm not saying anything they did was wrong, but we do have options.
Another thing, it is not suicide by cop if they shoot (at)you, it is attempted murder!

Cut in on the dispatcher. I do. They ALL, Male and Female, talk to much , along with some P.O.s. Radio location in case you need help. I know some P.O.s stya in the car to see if he will run. some stay to run the plate info on the computer. There is too much radio traffic. don't know what to do about that. It seems he was aiming for female P.O. or maybe she was 1st out of car?
So glad the bad guy is dead. Hope the officers heal fast and know how much they are appreciated for what they do.
