I had a heart surgeon just out of trauma surgery at IL Masonic follow me to the station because he ran a light and had no wallet with him. In the parking lot I saw his surgical scrubs under his coat and asked who he was. He told me he was chief cardiac surgeon etc. and had the name sewn on his scrubs. I just told him to have a nice night and to please remember my face if he ever saw me on his operating table.
A little courtesy and I will escort someone home so they get there safely. But that ""Do You Know Who I Am???" shit earns all the disrespect I can muster.
I remember when a police officer in 003 ( i was there at the time) wrote one of the Rev Jackson's sons a traffic citation and also for no insurance. Supt. Martin went after the officer and put him on a foot post in Cabrini on the 3rd watch alone. Martin was such a wonderful leader. Walter Jacobson did a commentary on the incident. Of course, Rev Jackson just kept quiet. He never came to the aid of the officer, who was a really fine police officer.
I would hope the contact is on tape. I would hope if it is on tape it is saved. If he tried to use threats of retailiation to influence the result it should be brought to Feloney Review for Bribery charges. If he used inappropriate language it should retrieved and saved, at the request of the officers for defense in CR#.

Good luck getting a copy of that video. You need a couple of bosses approval and you know how shit gets "lost" on this department. I got a copy once after much difficulty to help me in a beef and no one had software to view the thing.
Of course the city did not purchase the right software. Billy Bob installed the shit and only some boss somewhere could look at copies. Good luck getting one in court to prosecute an alderman on a traffic ticket.

Even after relating to the cook county sheriff that my wife was married to a Chicago cop did this ignorant sheriff write her a ticket. My wife did not expect a courtesy or argue with the sheriff. My wife knew she was wrong for speeding 14 miles over the limit in a 40 mph zone, but the sheriff proceeded to yell at her and make her cry. We get a job from oec that onstar has a stolen vehicle moving at such and such location with il. Plate number #####. We find the car call for an assist and like usual 10 cars show up. We pull the guy out of the car handcuff him all at gun point! he is cooperative just a little confused. We ask him a couple question and find out he's alderman suarez.
No one know who he was. He was a little pissed but his plate come back hot!
We cleared the plate he was understanding and we never heard from him again. I guess it depends on who the asshole alderman is!

You miss the point. This is one of the leaders of the city. They volunteered for the job. The politicians need to set the example for the citizenry to follow. Unfortunately the average taxpayer demands more integrity from his car mechanic than the politicians that shape his life.

Hey SCC, sorry for this off topic question, BUT does anyone out there in the Districts have " resource teams" working on the watch like we have here in 019? They are usually called the "quality of life cars" (lol), but are now referred to as " resource teams"......what gives? did I miss an announcement?...........
Wow! Get a life. You work in 19. Who cares.
At the very least the POs need to use their phone to record the video playing on the computer screen. Hopefully, someone will help them out with this.

According to IARDC, she has been registered attorney since November 1985 and is still current. Check the website.

Ever since hearing that most of the burglary team couldn't make days on a bid but were then assigned to 3rd watch and "detailed" to 2nd watch, I'd believe anything at THAT district.

Thats crazy. Call the FOP If this is allowed a new po can get midnights and then detailed to days. No way and if so, then whats the sense of bidding by seniority and thats what the management positions are for Let the commander use those management positions if he wants then on days.
Final thought, there is a contract, so grieve it You could make some time and a half if they found you were higher on seniority and should have been on days. Knew a guy who grieved it and he was paid time and a half for everyday he was on the 3rd watch instead of the second watch
No, the Feds are NOT listening. Maybe if conservative Republicans were involved, the IRS would investigate them.
