I hear some coppers, but mostly bosses, say how negative The Blog is. I don't agree with everything written. I don't like everything said. Nonetheless, SCC epitomizes what Free Speech is about. To those who feel threatened by the rants, raves, raunchiness and reports found in the blog, don't read it. Let people make up their own mind about the content. No need to call people names. I defend SCC's right and the rights of others who post here to speak freely.

O.T. New P.P.O.'s Foot Patrol
I just talked to a ppo today in traffic court. I feel so sorry for these new officers. She works in a busy district and along with her partner she has to be on foot all day. No car, just on foot in a busy/dangerous district. Now this is what gets me pissed- her Sgt. expects them to go through alleys and dangerous side streets. It's only a matter of time until someone gets seriously hurt. And this is what really pisses me off- she told me that at first other officers used to watch out for them but soon they all forgot about the foot officers.
If you are that type of an officer then shame on you. We need to watch out for each other. Plus what type of Sgt. is going to force their officers to walk around in alleys and dangerous side streets? Shame on you Sgt.
SCC, way to go on making it this long. A politician one day told me "who is that fucking SCC guy and his blog. His blog has caused some problems for us". LOL and they still call you "insignificant".

Thanks for a great blog. Was on the job when you started, have since retired. I do wonder what the media thinks of " real" news that is printed here? I would imagine that there are a few reporters who are very jealous about the freedom to actually report stories.

Congrats SCC!! Perfect post to send a message not related to a specific topic. I'm on my day off today out running some errands, and what do I see?? Police officers and a sergeant, in full uniform standing at intersections with buckets of money in their hand, collecting for special olympics.
A wonderful charity, which I support, but since when do the police solicit money for charities on duty in full uniform. I found this to be unbelieveably inappropriate and unprofessional. Actually disgraceful!! In today's society how many people would look on this as being intimidated into donating?? Also, here we are in murder city, and we have on duty officers standing on corners asking for cash!!!
This is ridiculus. It is another example of the pathetic leadership of this department, since it was obviously authorized by some gold star. What is Mcnutty thinking. Picture this headline asshat..."Man shot and killed four blocks from officer holding bucket of money asking for more"!!!
There is absolutely no pride, tradition or professionalism left on this department, and that starts at the top. Look at the St. Jude march, an honored and age old tradition. Officers marching with strollers, children, and YES dogs!!! I am a family man and love my children dearly, but their place is not in a ceremonial march in honor of our fallen brothers and sisters. Certainly not a place for a dog!!! COME ON!!!
Mcgoofaball is a sorry excuse for a leader, and the tradtion of this department is completely gone.
