Smart Prosecutors
- A second Illinois prosecutor has decided to let his county's residents carry concealed weapons even as the governor weighs whether to allow it statewide, reflecting surging impatience among local law enforcement months after a federal court tossed out the state's last-in-the-nation ban.
Randolph County State's Attorney Jeremy Walker's announcement Tuesday that he'll stop prosecuting the prohibition on guns in public came just days after his counterpart in suburban St. Louis' Madison County issued a similar declaration. The sheriff of southern Illinois' Clinton County also has joined suit, saying any armed person found in his jurisdiction from counties that allow concealed weapons won't be arrested for packing heat.
Quinn is still debating a bill that has enough bipartisan votes to override a veto - at least at first blush.

How much more can the people in this State, take of these Dicktaters!Quinn,Rahm,Alvarez this riff raff has to go!
Way to slap these worthless power thugs in the face!
They're smart 'cuz they're not part of the corrupt Cook County structure.
Glad to see the sheriff's stepping up. Might help to avoid some ugliness.
Eventually there will be a serious push to have cook county become it's own district like D.C. The people down state are tired of Chitchago and Crook County running the state and sucking up all the monies. Plus they see nothing wrong with concealed carry, because there isn't for law abiding citizens...
Smart prosecutors, something Crook County needs desperately. We're over run with Dolts/Puppets.
I suspect that Quinn will use amendatory veto. This is a mess and will not be solved quickly.
Why does State's Attorney Alvarez continue to prosecute for supposed violations of an unconstitutional UUW law?
Common sense prevails everywhere but here.
og crook county has the prosecutors, it just they figure real fast if they want to last they have jump bed with the trash and then cry when they end with a "disease"remember silver shovel? they had to bring a guy from the really far outside in order to make it work way and nobody knew
Screw all of these crook county politicians the time has come to take back our county and keep the damn Gov's nose out of it.These people do not represent the majority of like minded people who live in this county, get rid of them.
Good for them...

Ha Ha Chicago your days are numbered. The Machine is slowing crumbling.
The Second Amendment IS the carry permit.
I live way west, by the Mississippi, and don't often visit Chicago. I've got a FOID card, etc. Our states attorney has Alvarez' mindset and will prosecute until the law says don't. He's a pissant, but that's beside the point.
I haven't had a moving violation in thirty years sand keep my tags current and car in good repair. i don't drink, do dope, or any of that shit. I'm so clean these days I bore myself.
What are the chances of getting tossed if I'm minding my own business and happen to have my Austrian friend along for a walk around the city? I try to avoid lousy places, but bad guys go looking for old farts like me, so I can't avoid everything.
I'll check back. & see if anyone has any comments.
Thanx!
