Sneed hears that Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy, the Bronx bulldog, is having back surgery Thursday at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The tests came back positive and Rahm scheduled the surgery for Thursday, CompStat meeting be damned.

For those that don't know, the amount one drinks affects how much medication, strength and dosage, is needed for you to go under with General Anesthesia and the more that's used the more dangerous a surgery becomes. Most of the deaths in an O.R. occur from problems patients have with the anesthesia (Cardiac, Coma, Death).
Additionally the more times one has surgeries with a 'General' the more the odds increase that YOU will be the one who dies from it. This is a dirty little secret Doctors, especially surgeons, do not want the general population to know about (and why I don't want another operation, this one for a knee).
The same holds true for usage of pain meds & anesthesia as with booze usage. So you best tell the truth even if it's 'just a little' booze 'now and then'.
Sneed, you need to double up on your med's.

Seriously, does anyone know the diagnosis and the procedure. The City has refused to pay some officers' bills for certain back procedures. It woud be interesting to know if he is covered where others are not.

say what you want ,but he told the alderman that he is the supt of the CPD and he will put who he wants as the commander of 011, not them. He also said he will put who he considers best in the position, not whether they are black or white.

The hospital won't confirm due to Hippa rules. He had to get one of Rahm's dance slippers out of his ass. It ended up in his left ear due to the doctors inability to remove his head from his ass!

It's a shame that there aren't more posts like this one. But since he has been nothing but a drunken, womanizing bully since he got here, I guess he cannot expect much more.
His behavior since he arrived in Chicago has been boorish. A drunken lout will never win the respect of this Department , and so, he can never lead. We have to endure him as long as he is here. We all wait for that exit so we may begin to work in earnest again.
