Suspects in Custody for CCSO Murder
- Several suspects were in custody Sunday morning in connection with the shooting death of an off-duty sheriff’s officer, authorities confirmed.
No charges had been filed as of 7 p.m. Sunday and few details were available about the arrests in the fatal shooting of Cuauhtemoc Estrada, who was gunned down outside a family holiday party Friday night while trying to stop an attempted armed robbery in Bellwood.
We'll post details at some point. We certainly hope that this isn't another case of people who should be in prison somehow being paroled.

Question? Do any of you watch Justified? I cannot wait for CCWs to get handed out. Watch how many assholes think twice before shooting Police Officers. 2 shitheads have been charged with the murder of Inv.Estrada. As one of the people out that night looking for the offenders till 4am, it was a great show of force and a lot of team work that made this possible. Thank You to all involved. Too bad it takes a murder of an officer for us all to work together as one. It was, is and always will be us against "them". Take care of each other and ourselves. RIP brother Estrada.

According to reports, the police followed their footprints in the snow for 400 feet where they were found in a house.

Offenders picked up months earlier on other charges but didnt stick and released. Were laughing and smirking in pc court in front of family members of Estrada. SMH! Rest in peace brother. God bless your family in these terrible times!
