Health Care Hilarity

  • New Obamacare health insurance enrollees may feel a pang of envy when they eye the coverage plans offered by Walmart to its employees.

For many years, the giant discount retailer has been the target of unions and liberal activists who have harshly criticized the company's health care plans, calling them “notorious for failing to provide health benefits” and "substandard.”

But a Washington Examiner comparison of the two health insurance programs found that Walmart's plan is more affordable and provides significantly better access to high-quality medical care than Obamacare.
Amusing...and apt.

There's going to be a lot of eyes opening and a lot of pain.
The people who voted for this will be the ones who end up regretting it the most.

Walmart's plan is not government sponsored and does not offer free birth control. Nor, has does the Walmart plan have the blessing and approval of Nancy Pilosi. So there!

There is a reason why Sam Walton was a billionaire and the government is broke.

But you can purchase condoms cheap at Walmart with the employee discount to boot and it protects from STDs as well as pregnancy.
A win-win.

Well yes, comparing a subsidized vs. an unsubsidized plan will favor the former. So?

I hope you like Obama health care for I would bet that all city employees will be on it in a few years. It is the end of health care as a job benefit for most cities and for many private employers.

OT:
Remind me again why someone with a valid CCW permit was treated this way?

And this is why a 27 should not have a ccw attachment to it. It is no one business except mine that I have a permit. run it as a seperate check. Just like a FOID check.

But, if free birth control was available years ago, maybe Nancy Pelosi and Obama would not have been born.

Remember all that late night jokes about the insurance industry and H.M.Os. The population was conditioned to associate insurance providers with the evil corporate profits, neglect of patients for profits, six figure insurance executive compensation, malpractice through lawyers & more lawyers & willing justices on the bench and the like. Wasn’t Wal-Mart and McDodonalds demonized for not providing healthcare along with those low wages? Some of the true investigative alternative media refuted this mantra but got little play in the mainstream media. Sorry but I see what goes on in the county hospital and no thanks. Wal-Mart provided health insurance which may not be a premium plan, but it certainly provided for their employees. It seems the only thing government is good at is using the N.S.A. to spy on its citizens and then punish its citizens through an out of control bureaucracy doing business as the I.R.S. The government bureaucracy providing healthcare is off to a failed start and if it was one of those private healthcare providers, it certainly would be litigated out of business by lawyers and more lawyers for breach of contract. This contract, scheme and blatant fraud I speak of was peddled to American citizens through the likes of obama, reed, pelosi and kathleen sebelius. The most ethical administration-yea right

When I started this job the City provided free healthcare to its police officers and police retirees. People who didn't work didn't have health care

Today, it is a different story.

The City has shifted more and more costs to working police officers and the retired police officer pays higher and higher contributions. Those who don't work now get free premium insurance.

Well buddy boy, as much as I hate to say it, when I started on this job the city paid nothing for health care. If you wanted it there were 3 choices, Blue Cross, BMA and Businessmen's Assurance. They all ran about 15 bucks a month for a family when we were making around 4800 a year. That is about 4 percent of income. I really hate to say this but although I am a registered plaintiff in the Krislov suit I do not remember anyone, at anytime, promising free health care for me, forever.

Yeah, I'm older than dirt, but I have already drawn well over 800 thousand from the pension and I love every minute of it.
