I have heard many of these guys have spent most if not their entire careers screwing up OUR union. Several officers have related to me that former FOP candidate and current candidate for Trustee Mark Donahue went so far as to take a merit promotion to detective but never spent one minute in the D-unit. This is bullshit and I have decided that I will only vote for candiates who spent quality years working in patrol. Any input on the rest of the field would be appreciated. Thanks.

Seems the bosses have rolled in and moved up the chain of command crediting themselves with the work of the patrol guy for years. They also always seem to find a scapegoat to throw under the bus when they fuck up or something doesnt go right. you see the farther they move up the less of a policeman they become (If they ever were.), and the more of a politician they become. Lying, backstabbing, in it for themselves looking to see how to climb the next wrung of the ladder, all while being pompus arrogant pricks.
Well so it is with the union, Mark Donahue and Bill Dogherty, over 45 years combined not dealing with one piss bum or a rat and roach infested domestic. They may have had good intentions 25 years ago. But they have moved on to the polictical realm. They are getting paid by us, using us, lying and backstabbing, tearing the union up from the inside trying to save their spot and move up the ladder. My advice if they have been working inside at a union spot for more then 5 or 6 years dump them. Dont cote for any party ticket not Denagelo, Clean Slate, or especially City Wide. I was going to downtown to be in Daley Plaza when the Olympic vote was announced but could not make it. It would have been an exhilarating experience to be there when the rejection was announced. My favorite was the guy who Godfather Daley appointed to make sure that no one was improperly conducting business to profit from the olympics. Turns out he invested all his cash, wait for it.......improperly, in real estate in hopes of cashing in. When it fell apart, he ended up doing the honorable thing, whacking himself. Now, if we could only get that to become a trend for politicians.

From what I have read, it was likely Leon Panatta who signed the order to Go and informed Obama once it was under way. Daley wanted it, not Obama, but Obama probably owed Daley big for the election, so he gave in. Fair is fair and there's no point in twisting the truth for your agenda. This shit hole of a city was not even a consideration for the Olympics, receiving the fewest number of votes. Why? Because of Rahm helping to further drive it down into the dregs along with the criminals who have transformed it from a world class city, to a doomed metropolis. No reason to have Olympic games in a place that only cares about over-taxing and overcharging everyone who lives here or visits as much as they can, then tries to get a few bucks more by installing red light cameras and speed zone cameras, "for the children". Nothing to see here. Move along.

Does it surprise you that cops make stuff up to suit their own agendas? Some do it every day with their paperwork. And juvenile doesn't even begin to describe many of them--infantile is more accurate, I believe.
