Hire Gangbangers - What Could Go Wrong?
- Both Jermalle Brown and Douglas Bufford were gang members hired to play a small role in helping combat violence on the South Side through a program hatched by Gov. Pat Quinn’s administration.
Paid $8.50 an hour with taxpayer funds to hand out anti-violence pamphlets in their South Shore neighborhood, the two low-income teens were part-time foot soldiers in the governor’s $54.5 million Neighborhood Recovery Initiative, a program he once described as “a comprehensive and concerted effort to keep our young people safe, off the streets and in school.”
Quinn launched that program a month before his 2010 election as an answer to gun carnage in the city — even though murders that year, Chicago Police would later disclose, dipped to a nearly 50-year low.
But instead of embodying a bold new way to fight bloodshed on the South Side, Bufford is now dead, and Brown is charged with his murder, putting a dramatic and deadly new blemish on the one-time Quinn showpiece, which was pilloried last week in a report by Auditor General William Holland.
This was the one where the shooter managed to blast his accomplice in the head with a shotgun while doing a home invasion. We remember this one with particular amusement and it always brings a smile to our faces.

This happened because $8,50 is NOT a "living wage" and these future Rhodes Scholars were simply supplementing their income.
This will not be an issue when the minimum wage becomes $10.10 an hour.

Hey....CPS doesn't have a problem hiring gangbangers, why should anyone else have problems hiring them? Do some background checks on many of the following positions (below) for CPS and you'll find tons of gangbangers with records, expunged records, etc. And, many of the gangbangers working for CPS have never stepped foot in a college as a student and many just have GEDs.

There's a tool and former gangbanger working as an Admission Rep/Student Advocate at Prosser Career Academy HS. The tool's name is Jeffrey S. Bates. Bates changed his name from Davis to Bates to avoid paying any loans he took out to show up, but, not get a degree in college. In fact, Bates had to flew to Minnesota to avoid gang trouble back in the day after he was booted from Norh Park University.
And, Bates changed his name to avoid his criminal past as member of the Insane Unknowns where he slung shit, was known as a shooter, and all-around assholes.
Do you remember the name Thomas Hawkins from the Berrios bribery investigation? Hawkins was convicted of taking bribes and is one of Bates' (Davis) fellow gangbangers.
The only thing these days on Bates' criminal record is his arrest for assault of his coke-sniffing ex-wife, a former Prosser student Bates met when she was going there and he was working there.
Now, Bates is dating a divorced counselor at Prosser. He started dating her while she was married and her divorce costed her many of her rigths with her three children.
Nice guy, huh?

Why not try force feeding birth control pills and salt-peter to "them" from the age of 12 to 25. This way we can break the cycle of teen mothers and reduces the 'shorties' for the gangs.

If this program had even a small success story attached to it, they would have trumpeted it forever. The program is simply a waste of taxpayer money.

As the preliminary investigation showed, 36 million out of 46 million went for salary and benefits, whatever they mean by " benefits". $ million is unaccounted for. The state turned this money over to Chicago alderman to give to their recommended neighborhood groups. Now when you trust Chicago alderman what could go wrong? Yes, a federal grand jury should be called for. I wonder if Ald, Ervin had his hands in any of this?
I understand supplementing there income but one onewritten rule don't rob a fellow person, that is just pure scumbag shit. Also there are quite a few coppers that used to be in gangs. Would it have been better if they were collecting welfare.

The corrupt Democrats buy elections with taxpayer dollars. The primary election is March 18, so you can expect more state funds to be “found,” where none existed before. The more felons Quinn releases from prison early, the more taxpayer money he can hand “community leaders” to give to their people for walking around money. This is what used to be known as bribery.

I pulled a Republican ballot and voted early last week. It felt real good.

When you walk into the polling place on March 18 ask for a republican ballot.
Of course, the national news media is all worked up over the fat governor and the traffic jams on the bridge in New Jersey. Notice the double standard in play.
Over at Capitol Fax (a left leaning blog), the editor published links to the auditors report. The phony "anti-violence" programs was not restricted to the South and West Sides. It also operated in Rogers Park and several suburbs where Patsy Quinn needed to turn out the vote.
Any time any of these phonies call for monies to be spent for community outreach and the like, you can be damned sure that they want to skim off the lion's share of the funds and toss a few stray pennies at the youths.
We all pay taxes for schools, parks and libraries. Why do we need special programs? Because these people do not have parents?

On a serious note, another battle is looming. To cement their power, the left is campaigning to reinstate convicted felons to the voting roles. In weeks and months to come, you will be hearing how it is racist to "disenfranchise" convicted criminals. This is especially true for those ex-convicts who are prepared to vote straight Democrat.

I had planned to do this, though my alderman will definitely take note of it.
Problem is, I want to see Rutherford get the ballot spot. Rauner is so far ahead in the polls, it's pretty much a waste of effort.

Be careful snooping around Prosser as the principal there has two POs working there from Grand/Central. One, as a security guard (J.K. one of the Abbate coveruppers)and the other as a school counselor (T.B.). Both work full-time and both give the principal the heads up on everything and anything.
Once again, Femocrat Politicians just throw Middle-Class Taxpayers Dollars at a problem, not actually putting any real effort into actually solving the problem, nor caring, because it's not THEIR money they are wasting, it's ours.
So who is SCC endorsing for Ill. governor?

Christie is a RINO. He's just like Rauner.
The democrats are running unapposed ask for a republican ballet and make your votes count for the only hope which is Dillard. For the general election do the same. No democrats , no emcumbents, no current judges. First the democrats what your pension then they want your job look at the CTA and the Post Office two organizations run right down the shit shute. Up next is. The Police and Fire Dept. they don't want no Streets and Sano much work!

Rutherford doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell with the drama in his office. Kirk Dillard is gaining on Rauner and should be the consensus candidate. He can beat Quinn and won't decimate our pensions the way Rauner will if given the chance.
The pension you save may be your own. Dillard would still be better than Quinn.
Oh, those poor honor students! Well, sounds like a plan to me. Keep doing this and let them kill each other off.
HOWEVER, once again (and no surprise to anyone) is how WE, the tax-paying, hard working few have to pay for all the shit for these low lying leeches!!
