All those high-rise condos in downtown have 100s of cars that should have city stickers - but they don't.
Let's start getting people who live downtown paying for a vehicle sticker instead of hiding their car in parking garages.

I thought overtime goes by seniority as written in the contract but we have a unit rep who cried because HE did not get any overtime as he is very low on the seniority list and his own words "It the OT should go to each team and NOT by seniority as dictated by contract", So now nobody is getting ANY overtime, We your other team members will be watching and if you get any overtime not by seniority we ALL have decided to start complaining about you and paybacks ARE going to be a bitch ! You might think about transferring out as we just called the building department regarding those home renovations you bragged about you did without those pesky permits ! This is just the beginning !

Off Topic - Last year Bernstein heard rumors of an upcoming Sergeant's test and filed a FOIA request for info and got it. I understand this was in his company's best interest so he could start advertising for his class. Now the Dept has our scores hostage and isn't releasing them for some reason. Why doesn't the FOP file a FOIA request to have the Dept release any information it has regarding results? Wouldn't that be in the best interest of its members? The FOP is looking out for the best interest of its members, right?

Has anyone noticed that the price of the stickers was raised by the City Counsel. If you look at the forms that were sent out you will see a very small increase. like $0.51 cents on a motor cycle and $1.54 on large SUVs. Not sure what it is on a truck or regular vehicle. But the city slid this one in on all of us with all the crazy prices for the new stickers. Who thinks it will being going towards our pension

Gotta get out of this place, survive and escape.

Our current sticker is valid until September, 2014. We bought it last year.
So.. if we have to pay $85.97 for a new sticker good until March, 2015, we are paying $10.74 a month ($64.48/6 months compared to our regular price of $85.97 per year or $7.16 a month.
Sure, the matrix the city sent out reads, Valid for 9 months, that's 9 months form June to March, but our last year sticker was good until September 2014, So why are we paying $20. extra?
We believe the whole city is being charged the extra amount.
If so.. that's a lot of money.

OT I was at the Macys on State today when 15-20 "urban youths" came through yelling, calling everyone (including my daughter, who is 16) b-, c-, and f-words, getting in our faces, knocking over displays and running out with arm loads of merchandise. My daughter and I (and all the other shoppers and staff) were terrified! Where do kids get the idea that this is acceptable? And why hasn't this made the news?!? What is going on here? I will not be doing my shopping in Chicago any more, that is for sure.

Maybe Rahm's mad at Rey Colon, because the potholes two blocks from Colon's office are the size of craters. A hundred feet west of Emanuel's favorite place to mug for the cameras (the Centennial Monument in Logan Square that only gets the graffiti cleaned off it when Rahm visits), EVERY single vehicle gets to hit two unavoidable holes w/b. -- Even worse, the GIGANTIC holes under the Kennedy at Logan and Western. Maybe we could get that city asphalt crew to fill in some holes that paved the lot on Devon ave. north side of the street just west of the tracks, cause they were in and out in a hurry and did a really nice job. I'm fact it's the only asphalt crew I've seen up here in months. Oh well on can dream.....

First off Doherty was a do nothing, and Mary pothole Oconnor is worse. I didn't vote for her and will not this time either. I got at least 10-17 people, friends , and relatives voting against her.
