Cantor Out? Hahaha

Amnesty for everyone! DREAMers unite! Immigration "reform" is the way to go!

Oh yeah, and the Tea Party is dead:
  • House Majority Leader Eric Cantor became the first person in American history to lose his primary while holding that position. He lost Tuesday night to a poorly-funded GOP opponent in the biggest electoral stunner in several cycles.

College professor David Brat defeated Cantor, 56 percent to 44 percent, with 80 percent of precincts reporting, according to The Associated Press.
Brat was outspent 14-1 and still beat the #2 republican in the nation, mostly because Cantor flirted with passing Obama's amnesty-dressed-up-as-reform package. Cantor was primaried out, an unheard of occurrence for a House Majority Leader.

The RINO's on the Right just got a wake-up call, along with much of the political establishment on both sides of the aisle - Obama is poison and even seeming to work with him might lead to electoral doom.

When they say that people are fed up and revolution is in the air, they really aren't kidding.

When you have a president and his secretary of state watching Americans die in Benghazi, and then turn around and trade five terrorists for a deserter while trading missiles that killed SEALS, you kind of piss people off.

These weak and un-American socialist politicians as well as those RINO assholes that work with them are going to suffer for their crimes, one way or another.

Doom the Dreamers. We can't sustain these Dreamers. Check out what's happening in Nogales, Arizona...some 60,000 illegal immigrant children have 'stolen' into this country...they threw food the US gave them in the trash and asked for Burritos....pretty cheeky when they've had nothing much to eat since their big drive to cross the US border. They get free food, welfare, housing and we pay for it. How is this being approved? Where are there parents and loved ones.

This is good.

What we have had is essentially one political party in D.C.

Republicans and Democrats there have far more in common with each other then they do the people they were sent there to represent.

That became pretty evident during the financial meltdown in '08 and thus the Tea Party evolved in the true American spirit.

Ever since, republicrats have been doing everything in their power to stay in power.

Hopefully, this next election is going to make 2010 look like warm-up.

A lot of people need to go in D.C.

eh, obviously you fail to understand that "real" reform according to these people includes:

gutting your tax writeoffs,

putting government employees on the street where they will then collect government handouts,

destroying protections for workers at their jobs,

destroy EPA regulations so that the rich can continue to destroy and pollute the only planet we have to inhabit,

make the middle class disappear even faster by declaring either you're a "job creator" or you're slave labor to that job.

You know these are the guidelines by which these people live don't you? Their claims of "smaller government" mean gutting or eliminating services that result in putting more people on public assistance. And if you somehow believe that "it forces them to get new jobs" somehow equates to them making the same income as they were before you're sadly mistaken. Putting people out of work gives the "job creators" the upper hand and let's THEM dictate wages to those begging for work.

Think again about the world you think these people are going to give you, because putting people out of work, killing regulations that protect workers and the environment and giving free reign to the corporate world to dictate how this country runs is the LAST thing that will benefit the 99% as a whole.

But then again, you're obviously stupid enough to believe all their bullshit in the first place so that may just sound great to you, doesn't it?

More news on Illinois elected official's shenanigans. democrat state representative derrick smith was convicted of bribery for accepting $7,000 in cash money in exchange for a promise of writing a letter of support for a day care operator’s bid for $50,000 state grant. He was acquitted of belonging to a corrupt organization doing business as (d.b.a.) the Illinois democratic party. Have you noticed the areas with the highest unemployment have the most private residence based day care. The publically financed day care service providers almost outnumber the weeds in all those nearby vacant lots. What do unemployed people do all day that the state sanctioned providers must babysit, feed and house their litters on the public dime?

Its a shame because the top guy michael madigan in this corrupt organization was counting on Rep smith’s vote to make the “temporary” income tax hike permanent. The political party against the middle class failed to secure the votes to transfer the max in documented income in the form of an income tax to Springfield prior to the upcoming elections.

When democrat madigan must rely on a tarnished public servant soon to be convicted criminal to “legally steal” via legislation resident's earned personal income, what can be said of this snake called madigan? Here is a thought. Birds of a feather flock together. Using their office violating the public trust seems to be a reoccurring theme. Is there a pattern here among those who use their public office to enhance their personal wealth with similar off the books kinda stuff. Do you think rep smith was going to declare his $7,000.00 “income” as required by law and subject it to that “temporary tax”.

lisa madigan will not be entertained with the thought of investigating her father’s party- sanctioned routine customary corruption. Remember that smith assured speaker madigan his vote against Illinois’s documented income producers. smith guaranteed speaker madigan his support of permanently codifying this increase of punitive confiscation on Illinois family’s take home living wages.

I'm reading about Cantor's downfall being immigration, but didn't he also bristle at the Snowden-NSA disclosures? -- Cantor was, like most in the leadership, angry that NSA's wide-ranging surveillance of every American was disclosed, not about the fact that NSA is engaging in this criminal behavior.

Seems to me just as likely that the voters struck him down for that as on immigration. Of course, Democrats in leadership are just as much in favor of the surveillance state as folks like Mr. Cantor -- focusing on their differences on immigration is so much more pleasingly partisan -- you'd hate to think that plain old ordinary folks have rejected the collective wisdom of their leaders about how being watched constantly is Good.

Or maybe it was Cantor's votes on the bank bailouts. That was an area of bipartisan cooperation. In fact, Bush began bailing out the banks; Obama merely continued it. The people who destroyed our economy not only did not go to jail, they got bonuses -- and we got the foreclosure mess and the Great Recession which still isn't over. And the banks paid the government back, too -- by keeping credit card interest rates at 24% when the banks could borrow money for nothing. By charging us fees to cash a check or even make a deposit. Maybe the people in Virginia had that in mind, too.

But we don't emphasize that because all of our leaders agree we would NEVER want to inconvenience Big Business or send any executives to jail. Maybe we can fine a bank a billion or two; they'll just raise their consumer fees again and never miss a beat.

No, it has to be the illegals that were Cantor's downfall.

How in heck did the stupid Tea Partiers get caught up in hating illegals? Sure, some are crooks and drug dealers. There are crooks and drug dealers in every ethnic group.

But most of these so-called illegals came here for the same reasons that your grandparents or great-grandparents did -- for work, for freedom, for a better place to raise their families. They come here and work long hours at crappy jobs and earn $4 or $5 an hour without overtime or benefits and still send some home to the rest of the family. Such criminals!

Meanwhile, the people who employ them (rich people who want nannies but won't pay Social Security or unemployment taxes, the biggest corporations who want janitors or unskilled production line people) get away with breaking the law -- we would never send a corporate executive to jail! Heaven forbid! They lure up Jose and Maria to pluck chickens with those sweet $4 wages (depressing wages for the rest of us) and if ICE sweeps them away, Jose and Maria send Paco and Rosita from their same village.

Meanwhile, our teenagers can't get jobs -- because no one wants to pay them minimum wage. Why should anyone hire a high school student who will balk at working Saturday night when there are people willing to risk their lives to cross the desert to get $4 an hour?

Folks are nuts to blame the illegals for this. The ones who should take the fall are the big business tycoons who hire them -- illegally! -- and lobby against hikes in minimum wages they'll never pay anyway.

Wake up, SCC! There isn't a sliver of meaningful difference between the Big Business Republicans and the Big Government Democrats. We are just peons to them, economic or social units to be manipulated and exploited.

WBBM radio reporting now that South Texas authorities are likening the Honduran Children's Invasion to the sudden influx of "displaced" New Orleans residents after Hurricane Katrina -- as I recall, Houston and environs had to "absorb" over 100,000 new visitors almost overnight. I don't know how they pulled that one off without shutting off the street lights and collapsing.

Sometimes a buzz gets started -- it really appears that, whether true or false, most of Central America is panicking, sending chain-immigration "anchor babies" up here by the thousands before some perceived deadline.

I think that, once more, "disaster" is the word we are looking for.

Read Jean Raspail's "Camp Of The Saints." Free downloads at --

https://archive.org/details/CampOfTheSaints

It has come true. The West "lacks the moral fiber to simply shoot the invaders," as Raspail says, but instead fusses over providing them with sleeping mats and burritos. Italy is getting the same assault, endless masses of desperate aliens paddling bathtubs, oil drums, anything, who constantly need to be "rescued from the ocean" and given food, water, medical treatment to give them the strength to climb the wire fence and disappear into the interior, never to leave...

Oh -- "Conservatives" can't save us. They see the invaders as potential voters, nothing more, and busily form "coalitions" with their leaders and representatives, so as not to be tagged with the dreaded, world-stopping appellation of "racist."

...and this whole thing is undergoing a reductio ad absurdum, being spun and trivialized by the media as though it were a dispute between the states of Texas and Arizona...

"You people in northern states don't know what bad is with the current level of illegal immigration, and DHS releasing thousands of known criminals. Try living in South Texas. It's starting to get scary down here.

Bad? Ha. City buses here in Chicago roll along carrying "VISIT MEXICO" tourism placards on their sides. Anyone looking out their window in our 025 police district can plainly see that there is no need -- Mexico has come here, unbidden. One needs only to walk across the street to purchase elotes and chili-covered pineapple slices from the street vendors -- while keeping a sharp eye over one's shoulder that one's aluminum downspouts are not being torn off your house and carted away by by the once-every-five-minutes, endlessly patrolling scrap metal trucks...

I have yet to see anyone on this blog that is speaking up for the great leadership the Quinn has exhibited, but he's the lesser of two evils. You're talking up a guy in Rauner that has yet to even come up with a plan for the pension debacle. He keeps mentioning how he's going to fix the pension problem, well, what's his plan? If he had a legitimate pension fix that was going to save our pensions, I'd be all for him. Say what you will about Governor Potatohead, but I have never had the inclination to think that he was trying to take away our pensions. With Rauner failing to lay out his plan, he either doesn't have one, or is waiting to get elected to royally screw us. Not good either way.

How do you come to that conclusion? You have NO idea if that is even true.

PLUS - Rauner has already said he is NOT taking a salary or pension.

You rather vote for Quinn who has had his snout at the public trough for years.

Wake up - you are so brainwashed that you don't realize getting rid of the incumbent is the right thing to do.

Your pension? Are you SO clueless that you don't see Illinois bankrupt? You worry about Rauner, wait til your incumbent buddies drive the state to bankruptcy and then you'll take 10 cents on the dollar for your "pension" because that's all that's left in assets - and with the bankruptcy ALL contracts get negotiated from scratch and anything "written into the Constitution" is NULL and VOID.

You get what the Federal Bankruptcy court decides is fair - AFTER all the other creditors in line ahead of you get theirs.

Agree on all of your points except Quinn. You have to vote for him for one reason. Rahm's sugar daddy, Rauner, will be worse for our pensions, period.

You guys should not be talking about something you know nothing about. A simple fact is under federal law, a STATE cannot file bankruptcy, plain and simple. Cities can,but not states.
